I have spent hundreds of dollars on doordash. This last time I had ordered sushi they had put something in the sushi I was allergic to after I called the restaurant in advance and also placed my order exactly the way the restaurant told me to on the doordash app. I tried calling the restaurant no one answered so I called the complaint line for doordash. I told the gentleman that I did not get my correct order and I spent almost $50 this time and I would like a refund. I even sent pictures of what they put on it and a snapshot of what I ordered. The gentleman on the phone told me he would have to send it up to a higher team so I can get a refund which I was okay with and credited my account $20 for the trouble. I did not ask for the $20 credit. I did not get any email from customer service like they said I would within 24 hours. I did not get my refund 10 days later I called back. And the lady on the phone told me that it was already resolved I got a $20 credit. I let them know that I did not get to eat that night and also I would like my refund and they still refuse to give it to me telling me that they can't go anymore higher. They even empathized with me telling me they would be upset too and that it wasn't right. I deleted doordash so did all my family and friends. I honestly feel that doordash is a joke. And I hope one day they get it together or go bankrupt. It's not fair I spent that much money not to get to eat it or even get the same order but correct. I was in total disbelief. I might have lost $48 but they lost a customer that spent hundreds of dollars. I still feel like I won! Lesson learned. I can't believe they were willing to lose a customer over $48 who spent a lot of money going through doordash the last 2 years.
DOOR DASH ROBBED ME WITHOUT A GUN!
I received an order to pick up at Taco Bell, and deliver to ******* Livernois Detroit, MI. The order was for Jasmina.
The order was successfully delivered. However, my cell phone went died and I could not confirm delivery. Immediately contact Door Dash.
Your representative tried call the customer but the customer never answered. I did advise your representative that the customer was working and that is why she wasn't answering the phone.
Your representative stated that she would cancel the order, and pay me half the pay. I told her that was unacceptable. I deserved my full pay of $8+. I then googled the number where the customer work and asked your representative to call the customer there.
She then placed me on hold, minutes later she disconnected the call. I then called back and spoke with another representative and was told that the representative cancels my order and only gave me half the pay.
I again stressed that wasn't right nor fair, she then placed me on hold, and she too disconnected the call. I called back for the 3rd time and spoke with another representative and she too told me there was nothing she can do.
I am absolutely disgusted by all 3 representative customer service and was robbed by Door Dash. This totally unacceptable and I would like my FULL PAY.

Had to get some materials ready for a meeting at noon and was STARVING! I usually use Seamless, but I wanted McDonald's so I signed up for a DoorDash account. McDonald's is about 4-5 blocks from me, but I just couldn't go in. So, at 10:29am, I placed my order. Confirmation email gave me an 11:18am delivery time. 4 blocks away, but okay; I'm hungry and I'm busy. At 11:45am no food, no phone call, nothing! I called the "Dasher" and he told me that he was in the Bronx (I'm in the financial district) and that "they" sent the order to wrong store. It's now 15 minutes to my meeting, so I told him that I need to cancel the order. He hung up on me. I made a PB&J sandwich and went into my meeting. At 12:56pm, my cell phone is blowing up. I step out of the meeting to answer and it's the SAME delivery person telling me he's here with my order... my breakfast order... which I ordered at 10:29am! Are you KIDDING me. I told him that I'm not at the location anymore (had to leave for the noon meeting) and besides, he was supposed to cancel the order. Now, I don't know if he traveled from the Bronx with a bacon/egg/cheese on a biscuit, but who would want that?! This was my first (and LAST) order with DoorDash. I also noticed that the receipt I got via email was significantly higher than it should have been. I ordered $6.00 worth of food with a $2.00 tip and the receipt (not itemized) was over $13.00! DoorDash may work for some, but I found the experience to be the worse thing I ever encountered. I use Seamless, Slice, UberEats and have NEVER had these issues. RIP DoorDash!
My last two experiences with DoorDash was HORRIBLE! 1st. Never received my order. 2nd. Never received what I paid for with no refund. REALLY?

I will never order from doordash again. In the beginning the drivers were really nice and I really had no problems but for the past few months it's been horrible. Because I'm unable to cook due to an injury to my left arm I was using them a lot. In the past probably 6 months I have been yelled at and my food because they said they couldn't find me has actually been left supposedly somewhere. I actually heard the doordash customer service person telling the driver to not look for me and just that my food down on the ground and leave. Luckily for me the driver was following the directions that I was giving them and found my apartment and even though she was standing in front of my door and she was telling them that they were still telling her to put the food on the ground and leave. I always text the driver and give them explicit directions on how to get to my apartment. If they follow them it is very easy because I know GPS sends them on the other side of the apartments. It's also on my profile how to get here. They give them five minutes define the apartment or they tell them to leave it on the ground. I have been using Uber eats and I do the same thing and text them with a directions and I've had no problems with them getting here. I understand about restaurants taking longer to get the order together and I understand about traffic so I don't get upset about the time if they get the food here. I would not use them it's more trouble than what it's worth and there's no telling where your food is going to wind up. I think these drivers that are leaving the food supposedly but not actually leaving the food but are saying that they cannot find the apartment even though I'm texting them with explicit directions just so they can take the food home and then they have free food.
I received an automated Door Dash text message that gave me a verification code I never requested. It said not to tell anyone this code and that they'd never ask for it.
At the same time, I received a random text message addressing me by my full name, telling me there was fraud on my DoorDash account and they needed my verification code (which I ignored). I checked my account and saw there was a $65 order from Chili's I never placed, that was going to be sent to a house over 1000 miles and several states away. A few minutes later this scammer said they needed the code or they'd lock my account.
I went straight to customer service, which asked for the last 4 # of my credit card, exact charges, and restaurant and date posted. But it was never charged. So I told them, it hasn't been charged yet, and they said they'd need to know for the investigation. Which makes me think they're just going to close the investigation since it doesn't match this specific info (I deleted the order so did not have the exact charges, and they deactivated the account so I couldn't search for it).
Then I asked what to do about this person texting me; they asked for the number and said they'd opt it out from future communications from Door Dash. I'm not sure how that helps me. Door Dash then deactivated my account temporarily.
My concern is this random scammer has my full name and number and however much else information. I reported the text messages to my cell phone company.
We'll see what DoorDash does, but the damage is done, someone has my info. I blocked the number but they could use another to contact me if they want. If I continue getting harassed, DoorDash will claim no responsibility and I will have to get the police involved.
Restaurants see a Doordarsh order and automatically don't care about the quality of food they're sending since they're never actually making any contact with the actual paying customer, just the dasher who is not allowed to examine or open food. Speaking of paying customers, if someone orders from Doordarsh, they are a paying customer, they are paying Doordarsh which pays the delivery driver. I personally believe delivery drivers are 80% people who don't want to work a real job (with a supervisor or at least someone keeping you in check) so they choose a solo-job where they can stop and start working at any moment, even if it's in the middle of a delivery which happened to me. I ordered food for me and the kids I'm babysit and the driver drove to the apartment complex entrance and marked the delivery as completed. He never even made it to my door and never brought me my food. I hope he enjoyed that free meal that day because all doordash did was give me credit, no mentioning if they will allow the driver to keep ripping them and customers off by getting free meals. The other times I've ordered from doordash, the food ALWAYS arrives cold, ALWAYS. Why is it that when I go pick up my own food, it arrives at my home hot? Or when I order delivery directly from Dominoes it arrives hot? Drivers just don't care. Probably picking their boogers as they take their time driving while our food gets cold. I stopped using doordash months ago and will never use it again. I've learned it's much more worth my time, money and self-respect to cook my own food or if I can go pick it up myself or order from the restaurant directly.
VERY BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:
This was very disappointing. They delivered me wrong item. I refused to take the delivery of this order; Doordash should have canceled my order or called me back to get my approval before delivering a different brand\Product to me. The delivery guys called customer service and suggested me that I should take the delivery of order and call doordash customer service. Also mentioned that they will tell me where to return the order and get my refunds.
Doordash refused to give me full refund; refused to take the item back; The response I received from them; I feel like I got scammed by doordash.
This company is giving me so much stress, hassle, frustration as I am spending so much time either writing emails or calling you to solve the matter instead of doing my work. This is unbelievable, Pathetic.

Ordered food, waited over an hour and then app showed delivered; however, food was never delivered. Contacted customer service and learned the driver delivered my order to the incorrect address. Although, customer service apologized and tried to offer me a credit, there should be company guidelines in place that would prevent this from happening. The "dasher" should not be allowed to work for the company any longer.
****** My first review was given over 9 months ago. This is a recent update. If I could give them a negative 5 I would. I tried to give this company another chance and I regret it. This time I placed my order and was sent an email confirmation stating my order was received. Order was to arrive an hour later. About 30 minutes later, I noticed I had not received an update and the app wasn't showing an updated status. After an hour, I tried calling and received a message stating to use the chat feature. I tried chatting and was immediately told it would be a 1 minute wait. After 7 minutes an agent (Theresa) types something like, we are experiencing a high volume... blah... blah... and them immediately the chat ended. How does one get hung up on a chat? Tried again and waited 5 minutes before agent Pamela showed up. She asked me for my email address attached to the account so I provided it. She comes back and asks me if my order was with Blue Sake. I immediately explain NO, it was with another restaurant. She finally finds the order and tells me due to the volume they had to find a dasher for my order and I could wait and they would give me a $15 credit. At this point, it has been almost two hours from the time I placed my order and I still don't have food and don't know when I will receive it. Needless to say, I asked for my order to be cancelled. My issue isn't the high volume or them needing to find a dasher. My issue is they could have provided me with that information or updated me when they realized my order didn't have a dasher assigned earlier. Customer service is important and providing customers with updates can go along way. All this to say, two strikes and I'm done. I don't have to swing for a third when there are other food delivery companies out there who understand simple business practices.
Never recieved my food dasher stole it and then said it was delivered i was standing outside. The person parked never showed up.
"I always use Skip the Dishes. But we tried Doordash food delivery first time today as they had the restaurant available from which we wanted to order food. So, I ordered one item with enough tips as well. But door dash was telling me to add more items from the same restaurant if I want to so I added one more item 2 min apart thinking that it will all gonna be one order only. But door dash made separate order for another item with one more tip. So now I have 2 separate orders from the same restaurant. I told the dasher who picked up my previous order that please take my second order from the same place as I did not give a tip thinking it will be one order. But the dasher replied to me to add more tips for one more container. So I told customer service why you made 2 separate orders after giving options to add more items in the same order. So I told them to cancel my second one. They said they will not give a full refund if I cancel any order. I was so angry with their system. I did not want to have credit but they offered me 5$ for the next order for this kind of headache and personal torcher by their dashers and their system. My second order was picked up by another dasher and I also gave him the same tip as I have given to the previous one. Both dashers came same time to give the order at home. I feel like my tip was similar to the item that I ordered lol. Previous Dasher could have taken one more item but he was greedy as well. In the end, Door dash should not give the option to add more items to current orders if they will going to make 1000 more separate orders for the same restaurants. And If customers forgot something and would like to have more items after they have ordered something then they would make another order by themselves. My sincere advice to everyone is don't give them business otherwise be ready for this kind of headache to be taken for free.
I ordered from Zaxby's, the driver took the wrong order/failed to read receipt and delivered it to me. Driver name is Kaison.
This is a food delivery place. I was shocked when my food arrived at the hotel and the driver texts me in Spanish that I had to go to the Hotel Parking Lot to pick up the food in his car. He stated he had a bad knee and could come up. When i said I could not because I had just taken a shower and it was raining and cold that he would have to come up he texted back and said he could not and took off with my food. I called Door Dash who has gotten the order wrong the 2 previous times I ordered from them and they said the could order again and that I had to wait for another hour for the food to be delivered did not offer compensation. They could care less that my child and I did not get the food or that the Dasher stole the food and did not even leave it in the front desk. I called Door Dash and they did not care ONE HINT ASK FOR A SUPERVISOR AND WHEN THEY SAY NO DON'T HANG UP THEY CANT HANG UP ON YOU. THEY WILL CONVINCE YOU TO HANG UP AND SUPERVISOR WILL CALL YOU BACK BUT DON, T DO THAT STAY ON THEY CANT HANG UP ON YOU.
They miss half of your order and Won't give you a credit nor send the Dasher Back here to give me my food, but want to keep my money.

On December 13,2020 I ordered a $50 gift card to be sent on December 16 to a friend who had just had surgery. Unfortunately I did not have her correct phone number. The next day before 8 o'clock in the morning I called DoorDash and was told they could not help me but launch gift cards could and was given an email address. I sent a very clear email describing the situation and asking for it to be corrected. I received an automatic reply that said they would get back to me as soon as they could. I have sent numerous emails back asking for the status. I have since had to live chats where I was told that I would be getting an email that day regarding the status. I've never received an email! I did check in my junk email just in case and nothing was there either! Just today I have called DoorDash three times trying to resolve this issue. The first time I was told that they would get me to an advanced team I waited on the phone and a survey came up. I did the survey and the phone hung up! I am mediately called back and got a person by the name of Martin. Martin told me to hold and that he would be right back with me. Proximately 10 minutes later nothing! I am assuming he put the phone down and walked away. I called back immediately. The woman on the line took all my information and said she contacted the advance team and was told they were not willing to talk to me as they were backed up with multiple card issues! I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told a supervisor would tell me the same thing! I am being asked again to wait to get a status on this order. The gift card was supposed to be sent out yesterday so I have no idea there or not it was sent to a random person that I don't know, to my friend, or whether or not the order is on hold pending them doing something. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I typically do not write reviews but this is just awful! My advice stay away from this company.
