I am always cautious to order my food early because I never want to be running late which throws myself and my co workers schedules out of whack. I ordered food from a restaurant 2 miles away. It was 85°+ outside so of course I was not trying to be walking in that weather. My food was originally due to arrive 30-40 minutes which I understand completely and therefore I ordered because it fit right with how long until my lunch break. 6 MINUTES BEFORE MY DRIVER WAS DUE TO ARRIVE THEY NOTIFY ME THAT IT WILL NOW BE ANOTHER HOUR UNTIL I RECEIVE MY FOOD... I would have already been way long done with my break. Instead of contacting me after I sent in a message about how it was really ridiculous that I only got a 6 minute notice... they went and cancelled my order and told me 5-7 business days before my money would be back in my account. STAY AWAY!
First time customer, LAST TIME customer. I should have listened to the reviews.If they keep this customer service up, they won't be in business for long. Photo shows nothing. Which is what I got.
Today I got ripped off on DoorDash first they cancelled my order and still charge me! And now I have to wait 7 business days to refund my money worse and awful experience with door dash never again!
We placed a food order for our ENTIRE office! The driver went to the wrong address and then REFUSED to deliver our food! We contacted DoorDash and they will NOT issue a refund OR get our food to us! This is what they call "legal theft" I guess. I will NEVER use DoorDash again! I'm deleting the app and I'm letting anyone and everyone who will listen or read know what an awful company they are! BEWARE

I started driving a little less than a month ago. The app is insanely buggy and gives me bad directions to at least 3 places per day. In one week, I encountered 15 unique app issues. It crashes about once a week and costs me an entire shift. Customers think we're idiots because the app takes you 1 mile out of the way, and tells you that you've arrived. Thankfully there are backup nav systems you can use. If a customer says this is a reoccuring problem; I always advise them to write in the directions box, "use other navigation system" as a tip off that you'll end up in the wrong place.
More than once it went down as I was blocks away from the delivery point. Having to restart the app, your phone, etc. takes time. Support is absolutely useless. They always blame issues on, "a bad signal or you not contacting the customer". Well, you can't contact them IF THE APP IS DOWN. Also, I only dash in the city or large suburbs with 4 bars minimum. Trust me, it's the app.
Another thing customers don't know, is that the app hides tips from drivers. You can tip $10, but it will only show us $6.75 which is base pay of $2.25 in my area, and a $4.50 tip. You literally will not see it was a $10 tip until after delivery. This explains why a lot of food is not picked up right after the order is placed. For some drivers, the mileage is too much for $6.75 and they decline not knowing they could be making double shown.
Every order that I have ever placed through this company has been late, or canceled. They always give coupons for future purchases, why would I wanna purchase through them again! Send refunds!
It's getting worse and worse it seems like door dash don't screen these merchants I'm still getting food not stapled in a bag and drinks just with a top if the driver wanted a sip they could do this and the drivers retaliate if they see you don't tip. I've decided to let door dash go they can be fair about refunding but it works better for them if it's in door dash credits. They will only refund after so many times so let's say if I get a credit for a bad hot dog today and I order using credits get a bad taco they may give you a credit but let's say if you get a bad burger they will tell you no but ask for a supervisor which the agents hate to contact out of fear you will usually get credit no one has money to waste these days or food to throw away because the merchant didn't prepare it correctly. My advice go for the mom and pop businesses especially with Mexican food if they are new they put love into it stay away from Panda Express /Burger King better to go in person don't order late at night they put no heart into the food. Best advice cook your own food too much money to pay for mediocre food that's not worth it.
Wow that's crazy a score of 1.4 and they haven't fixed their problems. Just like thousands of other people my food came cold and there is no recourse to that. If you're going to offer a service to deliver hot food then there should be some type of implemented plan to get the food to the people at least warm. I understand that they have to travel and sometimes the food sits at the store waiting for the driver to get there but if you're gonna offer a service then you have to figure out a way to satisfy your customers. I guess it's my fault right because I was feeling a little bit lazy that day I guess I have to just go and get my own food from now on isn't it funny how when I get my own food and bring it home it's still nice and hot. And I don't have to pay a delivery fee and tip a person that doesn't get my food here hot. Well just had to leave a review of the awful service. I guess I'll never use this place again they don't even offer any kind of compensation whatsoever$35 not very well spent.
I have ordered from two different restaurants that use door dash as their delivery service. Now I see why I do not have an account with door dash. The first time the order arrived 30 minutes later than the estimated time that was given, and my food was cold, plus they forgot our drinks. Today I ordered (I didn't even know door dash was going to deliver or I would have canceled) I was told it would take an hour due to a large order (that is understandable) but I called the store twice first time I was told the order was on it's way. Called back just to find out door dash delivered the order (mind you I asked to be called once they arrived, didn't get a call) they delivered my food to a random person, and didn't even bother to call to notify me that the order was here.
I swear if you have a choice DO NOT USE DOOR DASH!
Customer service was a nightmare, tried to be patient but the didnt understand what i was saying and you can only go around so many circles before you give up
The last straw has been stacked orders that result in drivers going an hour out of the way, on multiple occasions, to deliver other orders before mine, even if I'm ordering from a place that is 10 minutes drive from my home. All I'm asking for is either transparency in letting me know when the order's placed that it will be stacked and/or the option to pay more to not have my order stacked with others. As is, I make sure to tip higher on these smaller orders, but it's moot when the drivers aren't allowed to know that before accepting the order. Maybe if they were transparent with drivers regarding tips in the first place, drivers would willing take the smaller fast food orders and they wouldn't have to bundle them to get drivers to bite. They're making things untenable for both drivers and customers with their current system. I'm just done at this point. If you must order through them and are ordering something cheap, don't bother with french fries or frozen items. The odds are increasingly good that neither of those things will arrive at your doorstep in an edible state.
For poor souls who NEED employment, do NOT apply to this hard to comprehend little scam they have going here. I applied. Took days to go the next step on the app that needed to be down loaded on your phone. Once I could enter my banking information (so I could get paid.), I was ready to dash. But how? ALL the bloody texts came through with dash now to a store named. NO address! No other information. When I try to text back, I get that it was given to another dasher. I need to restart my app (or browser?). Two days of this crap! Just a store name. Nothing else (and I know my small city. Meaning I know what stores we have and those that deliver.) Just wasted all morning with chat with them not understanding me (or being at all helpful)! And to CALL a support number. Why? If chat doesn't understand me on how to get started, surly someone on the phone won't be helpful either. So enraged and in a foul mood, I removed the damn app. Who needs this hard to understand grief? DO NOT APPLY! Commercial is EXTREMELY misleading!
They are willing to lose customers over a promo code they make things difficult and there site is not that special for the hassle they give. I'm over it.
For 2 years I have ordered door dash. Each have all been wrong. I want my money back. I'm handicapped no sympathy please. I would not use door dash if could drive. Done
I ORDERED A LARGE LUNCH FOR MY DEPARTMENT. I ORDERED ONLINE AND EARLY ENOUGH THAT THE FOOD WOULD HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO BE PREPARED. CALVIN S CAME INTO THE RECEPTION AREA WITH 1 SMALL BAG OF FOOD. HE WAS RUDE. OUR ORDER WAS NEVER DELIVERED. I SPENT ALMOST $200 FOR OUR LUNCH AND NEVER GOT IT. HAD TO CALL PANERA AND HAVE THEM REMAKE OUR ORDER. TOLD THEM TO TAKE OUT THE TIP HA! AND THE DELIVERY FEE
Use any other food delivery service because this one frequently gets your orders wrong. And when they do, they will not refund your money for the missing food items. Also, they do not have a legitimate reason you are not refunded, they will blame it on their "system". So no food, no refund, very upset customer, and will no longer be using their services because they DO NOT PUT THE CUSTOMER FIRST. Save yourself the hassle and use another app.
I placed an order on 4/17/2020. Doordash said order could not be fulfilled but charged my account any way and said they would refund the money. I have sent 2 emails and get no response! Cancelled my subscription!
Even with the shutdown they should be able to at least answer their emails!

Worst ordering/delivery service ever! 90% of orders are wrong. At first, it looks okay because you can automatically get credits when you report issues. Then they start saying it has to be reviewed. IF you hear from customer service, they say, "we are unable to issue credits due to your account history." The first time this happened I had received a completely wrong order. Only 1 item matched my order. They don't care. I ordered about 10 times total because I had some credits or they were offering free delivery.
After referring a friend and neither of us receiving any credits after several orders (it was supposed to be $20 each), I complained again. At first, they just told me where I could find the referrals in my account. I kept retelling them what the issue was and that neither of us had received credits. Then they said the referral's first order wasn't over $10. I told them it didn't state anywhere that the 1st order had to be over $10. Just that the credits would be issued after an order of $10 or more. After more back and forth, they said one of us had violated their terms. No explanation. I asked what was violated. No response.
I'm done with these cheats and scammers. Stay far away! They don't give a crap about customers. Use ANY other service!
Wow... first order was fine. Second order was so late it spilled into a meeting at work. Order three was fine, I mistakenly thought I didn't get an item... got a partial credit. Realized my mistake, offered them to take the credit back. Order four the guy claimed he didn'thave My exact address and instructions, then they mixed up the order. The offered me another credit which I refused, then explained I wouldn't use the service again... so I didn't need a credit on my account. I was Told I'd get a call to sort out the issues... never happened. Got a form email to which I called them out on. They... cherry on top... Iwas told Icomplained to much so I wasn't getting a credit I already turned down. Please explain to me how this works as a business model.
