I have two Disqus accounts. Each is connected to a different email address. As I tend to stay logged in on sites that use Disqus, I forgot my passwords. Today I found that I had been logged out on one of my frequented sites. I went to Disqus to ask a question and found that in order to ask a question, I have to KNOW my password. I then requested a password reset email twice, finally got one 20 minutes later, and read "expired" when I tired to use it. I then request another password reset and got, "down for maintenance". I finally decided to delete my Disqus accounts and found that you cant do that - without a password. This is like hell, a needless, endless circle of pain. I can't log in, I can't reset my password, and I can't close my accounts. Maybe contacting my state attorney general would do something?

I will no longer support Breitbart because they use disqus for their comments. I literally get banned everyday to every other day for reasons that DO NOT VIOLATE the rules stated on the site. Breitbart better wake up and get rid of disqus because they are contributing to their readers being silenced. You get banned just for saying George Soros name which is well known and why people spell it in creative ways such as *******@ss s ()r ()s etc

I wanted to purchase a new car but i couldn't because of my poor credit score then i contacted karma credit for help. I had a few collections and some hard inquiries. There are a special place in hell for these people. I was having a problem with my school district; 03/02/2015 a teacher called my son a terrorist and the Superintendent Robert W Runcie did nothing about it and lied. Our story went international. Then I got a call from a friend that all my posts show as blocked as spam. It took me until 04/15/2015 trying to connect with these people. No luck, so I decided to search for their domain and anywhere I found a person name I would send them a communication. Finally I was able to locate "someone" on twitter and reach out to them and explained the situation and they unblocked me forward. But the damage was done.

I tried after that to still connect and find out why they did that? What did they use to decide that I was a spam when I was posting everything manually. I was told that the bottom of my posts what the reason for the block. Because it was always the same. It was the URL for my Facebook Community site.

Granted that the district never cared, but still my goal to reach people and educate them about Broward County, Florida never materialized as it should. I am sure that hurts many families not getting the truth because of "Disgusts".

I wouldn't think that outside sites that use the Disqus interface would be very happy that Disqus is also blocking their traffic by blacklisting. That takes revenue away from everyone.

Disqus is cutting its own throats by this practice.
No wonder they have lost half their traffic this year alone.
If you want to avoid headaches, avoid Disqus.
If your goal as a site owner is to make money, avoid the Disqus chat interface. Disqus will rob you of your revenue.

Moderators on individual websites ban users with the most sophisticated, intelligent arguments; this renders the site virtually useless- as only persons with viewpoints that the moderator agrees with may post thus turning it into a "preach to the choir confirmation bias only club".
I was banned from "Not Sorry Feminism" article "Leave Women Alone" dated "Monday, August 18,2014" by moderator "Lindsey Weedston Mod", she routinely bans any poster who disagrees with her.
There is no appeal- nor is there a way to contact the moderator.

I can't even give a one word response on the ABC site. I would say more, but word might get back to them that I've been complaining.

Who is responsible for banning commenters from a websites, Disqus or the webmasters for the site?... I have been banned from a few conservative websites for comments these websites don't like.

Companies buy their service, dusaus controls your comments. I left negative remarks about trump and franklin graham on WND and Breitbart and got banned- and they screw with you. This is a bunch of twists in a call center sitting hind computers aligned with Zuckerberg. Dont click onto any sites that use discus - also check their corporate status on CORPORATION WIKI to see names of corporate officers. These guys are making a killing off you

It's official. Disqus has been rendered completely useless on all of my favorite Conservative sites. It appears they have also become chess players in the Conservative Purge. They do not respect the freedom of speech for all anymore. Their entire mission statement is a complete lie. Therefore, since they want to be Anti-Conservative, I used my freedom of choice and my voice to delete my Disqus account, and I've actually blocked their domain from my neighborhood network, websites and even my personal computers. I am the administrator. I can do that! I'm currently still instructing everyone to switch to a more bipartisan SM engine and/or find other routes to communicate with their favorite sources. I hate to tell you guys this, but they (the Liberal Communist Left Wing Extremists) appear to have re-engaged in Jim Crow behavior and are forcing us deeper into the digital ghettos simply because they lost an election. It's unbelievable how evil they are. If I didn't know any better I'd say they're all possessed by demons.

Disqus censors anything that they think does not follow their narrative. It is hardly objective. Sites should stop using it and go to something else.
