I joined Disqus soon after it was launched to comment on articles published by various media. A political activist living away from my own country, it offered me the opportunity to opine and interact with others. As a communicator, I was impressed. When the media sources I visited stopped using the platform, a frequent participant set up a dedicated Channel so we could continue our political/current events discussions. When right met left sparks would fly. The banter was enjoyable, for a while. Sadly, the Channel owner did not moderate any of the excessive bullying which reared its head. Rational commenters began to leave and find other Channels. I persisted as I had met some good people with whom I enjoyed discussion. Another commenter who shared that he was disabled and had cancer was mocked and ridiculed and wished dead by a couple of posters. No moderation took place. The poster has since passed away. For myself, a political adversary believed me to be someone else entirely and so ensued the most egregious bullying. Nothing was done. Another poster took on the bullying as well and complaints to the moderator and to Disqus yielded nothing so I left. There are some good channels which are moderated, but having been bullied once, one isn't keen to have it continue. A new poster joined in and has virtually threatened me. Also, lies and slanderous conjecture littered the Channel. Even when not posting, the lies continued. There is absolutely nothing one can do. It appears that Disqus encourages cyberbullying because that builds audience. So, I changed my ID and followed other channels to keep away from the bullying and the threats. But a stalker found me even so. I have now stopped posting. The 'reporting' system is useless. Nothing is done. When Channel moderators appear to be conducting a 'social experiment' and do nothing, one is helpless. Disqus 'blocking' is useless. It is not a complete 'block' such as FB and Twitter offer. It only stops you seeing that commenters posts but it doesnt stop them from seeing yours and discussing you with others. There is no way unethical moderators can be reported.

So, until Disqus takes some action against the hideous cyberbullying by hideous trolls, the platform fails to deliver that which I believe was its original objective. Its nerdy clever but just not efficient in any way.

Knew I'd been censored on Disqus for a long time, and even posted it in Disqus comments, my posts being removed quickly for the most part, until one got through long enough to draw this response:

You are 100% correct. This is a EUTimes moderator you are talking to. I have investigated what you said and we have just discovered that your comment was lost in a black hole. We knew the exact date of your comment because it was synced with our own database yet it was nowhere to be seen inside the Disqus dashboard. It wasnt under Approved comments, not in Spam and not even in Deleted as we assumed you might have deleted your own comment. And definitely it wasnt under Pending either. The comment was literally in the abyss, nowhere to be found. I imagine we lost dozens if not even hundreds of comments this way. Disqus most likely took the liberty to delete comments on our website as if it was theirs. As it is already stated clearly in our TOS, we DO NOT CENSOR any kinds of comments whatsoever. Here you have total freedom of speech, you can be a leftist communist, SJW, progressive, nazi, whatever you want. If anyone believes someone is wrong, engage in debate and disprove with arguments. Furthermore at least 300 comments were found not to be SYNCED with our website. After this discovery we have permanently removed Disqus from our website and we will NEVER EVER install any 3rd party apps that would act as a intermediary with our comments.

At this point Disqus has blacklisted me on every conservative site that uses their software. I had just set up a new account, but now if I try to use it I get a message that the site requires validation of my email, which they never did before, and to click here to request it. I clicked there on 8 different sites using Disqus, and never got verification email from any of them. I am left to conclude that Disqus has blocked my IP from commenting anywhere they are in charge of comments. Disqus personnel will falsely claim that it is the sites using their software doing this, and this is what they want you to think, even if you have given no reason at all for those sites to do this. Disqus is a Leftist backdoor into conservative websites for the purpose of censoring conservative views, plane and simple.

First off. This is not the first incident I have with these frauds. But this is the one that did it. On one discussion I politely disagreed with some kook. I didn't use names or anything. I just disagreed and posted a documentary that refuted their claims. The kook didn't even take time to watch it although it was only one hour long. Instead they proceeded to call me names. And not only that. The thread was immediately locked that way I'd have no way of replying to their attacks. I went ahead and answered them on a channel that was dedicated to "ethics" since this is what this is about. Again, I wrote a nice post. Calling them for the fraud they are, but nicely. Within an hour or 2 the post was deleted and when I tried to re-write it I was rejected with the message that was not allowed to write there. And this is not the first time that they show a complete lack of honesty. Actually this is as fraudulent as it gets. One claiming one thing, but when challenged. The ugly beast rears its head. It's disgraceful. Shame on you disqus!
Posts do not show where they are due. The posting and editing options are stale, boring and blank. For a discussion board, they could make an effort to optimize their trash but they don't, the whole thing is a joke.

I got into a heated discussion with this con artist who lies as he breathes. I happen to know about the subject he 'promotes' quite a bit as I lived it from the inside out and for a long time. I will refrain from stating what it is as there are people out there, who, out of ignorance, would brand one, this or that, just for the act of standing one's ground. The criminal started to outright call me names. I flagged many of the posts where he was the scumbag that he was. Nothing happened. He even posted something where I was supposed to click but I did as I suspected it was filth, I flagged that too. Nothing happened. Instead, what would one suppose took place? Instead aaaaaaall of the posts where I exposed this fraud for what it was, were removed and I was banned for that roach's hole of channel! I guess they are in the process of Islamizing the United States. Here, I spilled the beans. I did not need to lie or make anything up. So the information I gave was ACCURATE and TRUE to say the least. I guess the Disgus thugs are working with the Luciferians in this country along with Saudi Scumbagia to mis-inform the People of this country into laying down for vulgar bandits who stole the content of the bible, marred it with their feces, re-wrapped it under such title as coran and are in the process of re-selling it to The American People as the True Religion. And if anybody dares to confront these criminals, they get banned and all the True and Valuable Info they posted is deleted. Disqus is in bed with Lucifer. Disqus is Satan's prostitute.
