Ordered a refurbed Dell 7490 on a Sunday via internet. Last page gave order # & said I'd recv email the next day (prev page gave del date -5days). Monday: no email by mid morning. Called. Robot answering machine. I worried. Michael from support called later & I rec'd email. It said WIN10, not 11Pro. Called. Michael called back to assure me. Arrived 1 day early; held by USPS. Rec'd today (on time). All seems fine! 4 stars now; 5 if everything works fine. Quick, polite! No complaints as of yet!
Took my money and no return so they kept my money no returns they will give you credit for another pice of $#*!!
Was going to by a monitor from them, was a major task to sign up and then I could not check out once I found a monitor I wanted to purchase. There website is not very user friendly. In the end I gave up and will cancel my account, unsubscribe from their emails about there deals. In ther end I ordered a refurbished monitor from Newegg.com. It's good actually because with the free shipping I actually paid less than I would have at discountelectronics.com.
As a professional reviewer and respected marketing authority and critic, I am proud to report a new reining champion in the dumbest individuals in all marketing competition. Discount electronics believe that irritating and torturing clients with badgering emails will eventually lead to profit. Yes, that's what I said. Ridiculous? No. You see,I am presently receiving several emails a day in a little game they like to play to spam me because I reported them for excessive email abuse. Sure, I can block them and settle the issue, but the more important point to understand, is the child like, imbecilic mind of an individual that would do such a chicken $#*! thing on a daily basis because he believes is is irritating the customer. What he has really achieved, is the loss of a customer, plus the wrath of the customer that, through word of mouth, and loss a future business, will induce. I thank them for this spam, please keep it up. I will also keep up my retaliation, and monetarily, I will cost them tens of thousands of dollars in revenue by exposing who and what they are... disgusting, unintelligent, vengeful looses, with no common sense. Would you risk your livelihood by purchasing anything from people like this who may be needed for service after the sale? Not a chance. Keep 'em coming boys, I like a good war. See you around.
I stopped into the North store a few weeks ago and purchased a Dell tower from Diana who was amazingly helpful. She's forgotten more than I'll ever know about computers;-) I went back yesterday to purchase another Dell tower with a 2TB SSD and worked with Patience. Again, another young woman who blew me away with her knowledge. Picked it up today and was greeted by Tim, and manager Matt. These people are ROCK STARS! Great Team! Thanks, y'all. Don't buy anything from this company. A bunch of scammers! Please people, don't buy! They will not deliver anything! I promise you.
First computer order complete unusable obsolete junk it cost me $45 plus 15% restocking charge only to receive store credit. I used credit to purchase a refurbished laptop that hung on second screen which was on its side when trying to view. My conclusion is this company uses it's no refund policy to scam customers.
Very disappointed. I bought a computer set, missing the cord. I oder the cord, it's ran slow, can't update to window 11. I exchanged, pay shipping and restocking fee. Bought another one, slow, return, paid for shipping and restocking fee, get store credit. Bought an iPad, old, can't update. I'm stuck. Should I keep it or return, pay shipping and restocking fee, get store credit again? I don't want anything from there anymore My money is getting less and less with nothing worth. Bad company. Scam.
Been a customer for over 15 years. Eric at the new Parmer Ln./Silver Creek location knows how to professionally treat a customer. His product knowledge, listening skills, friendliness, and attitude are exceptional. Purchased a laptop 2 days ago that suited my needs with his helpful suggestions. All locations would rate better with consumers if more employees had his standard for customer service and communication. Heck, anyone in corporate or entrepreneurship could learn from him.
I bought 3 refurbished desktops from these bozos. ZERO out of 3 worked. They offered me "in store credit" - like I would ever buy anything from them ever again! They won't return my MONEY, nor my phone calls. They are the worst I've ever dealt with. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CHARLETONS!
Once you put your credit card, you will not see that money ever again. They are tricky and their computers are old, use and bad condition.
THESE GUYS ARE A SCAM. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They make you think you are getting a high quality, rebuilt machine when in reality you are getting junk. They prey on the novice computer consumers and old people. You can buy what ever it is they have, brand new, online, delivered to your home or office and get a real warranty for less money. I bought two, DELL, solid state mid range computers for $500. Thought that was fair for used equipment. Got them to the office and our IT guy said, "hey these have hard drives, they are not sold state and one of them has a very weak hard drive that will not last more than a couple of months. I took time immediately back to the store and David (long hair) told me that Dave (short hair) who sold me the computers was out and that he must have miss read the label on the computer. They had nothing similar that was solid state so I asked him to simply refund my $500 that had been charged just 30 minutes prior. He said they cant do but can only issue an "in store credit" less some restocking fee? Things got very direct and he took my (broken computers) that I had paid for to the back and told me to leave! Very, Very weird and strange and illegal. Our company is filing a small claims suit against them claiming, Fraud, Theft, Deceptive Trade Practices and Making false Statements. Also, the five star reviews you see on Yelp for these guys are all fake.
I cannot tell you how dealing with this company has aggravated me. I placed an order on a Sunday afternoon when they were closed. I canceled the order in about an hour. For so. E reason they sent it out anyway. I had them stop the shipment. I never received the order and they will not refund my money. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
We bought 3 refurbish monitor from them. The products we received are out of date monitors that do not have HDMI connection. These are old, scratch, out of date monitors. Computers these day all required HDMI connection and we can't even use these. WORST they do not offer refund, store credit only forcing you to exchange for another one with HDMI connection. The price for their old, used monitor with HDMI connection is almost the same as buying a new one. This is a dishonest selling old junk stuff technique rip off business. You will save time and trouble buying a new one or deal with somebody else who are honest. We rather lost money than doing anymore business with this dishonest business, and they won't pick up the phone talk to you when you call customer service.
I didn't know that my Order was a Refurbished 10 year old computer! The Volume is not Loud enough to hear Videos or even hear Recipe directions and the screen resolution is also very poor. I paid $555 for it and they sent me a label to get it checked out and sent it right back to me, saying it was fine! No Refunds! There is a label on it that has Windows 7! I had a Computer Guy come over to help me set it up and he said, "Where did you dig up this relic?" They sure conned me! I need a laptop that works, so I have gone to Best Buy and letting the Geek Squad take care of me! I "had to" get a working computer! I'll let them this check out this garbage. I had to Contact The Better Business Bureau as I have been conned! They sold me Garbage!
I had an issue that was 3-4 months old. I had not looked at the monitors at all and when I check, two stands were broken. They offered to send two brand new monitors and I said just send the stands, they replied with, the stands may not fit the monitors. Excellent customer service. I will order from the first before anywhere else if they have what I need!
Ordered a couple of monitors for my first order. One didn't work and wasn't as advertised online. Ordered another pair and one of those didn't work and the speaker I ordered was missing a power cord. They didn't seem to know their products well or test any of them before shipping them out.
Then their refund process was off as they didn't refund me the correct amount. Don't bother buying anything here. I'd give 0 stars if possible.
Staff here was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! I was greeted immediately upon walking in the door and they were able to assist me in not only getting my PC running, but running better than ever! Price was also way less than I was expecting! Thank y'all so much and I will definitely be back.
I pay $500 in a used notebook, is scrashed, dentet, cover with black adesive, not rewarded money. Trash.
I bought a refurbished laptop from them and was promised a 90 day return if anything went wrong only to have it arive as an empty shell with nothing inside the laptop, I immediately tried to return it to them saying there are no refunds. Complete scam.
Answer: Real bad CS and will intentionally misguide you. And you can't get a refund beyond store credit.
Answer: Do not order from them. They are a real gamble on quality and you won't be able to get your money back. If you plan to order from somewhere secondhand I would recommend you at least read through the warranty and return policy to make sure its legit
