I ordered a used laptop from this site. It came with a broken shift key, so I sent it back for a replacement. I called to ask when a replacement would be shipped, and the rep said they would send it out that day since they had confirmation that I had shipped the broken laptop I had received. She also said she would email tracking info, which I never received. Called back a week later to find it still hadn't been shipped. The new rep said they don't cross-ship replacement laptops. They had received the broken laptop four days prior but were backlogged. I told him I wanted a refund, but apparently their policy is to only give store credit. Had I known that I would never have ordered anything from them, but now that I do, they will never see another order from me. This company should go out of business for putting out shoddy products and such poor service and lousy policies.
Greg was so helpful in getting me everything I needed for a second computer at my office. He got me all the cables and cords and took the time to show me just how to connect everything.
Discount Electronics in Round Rock and employee Charles Hallford really bailed me out today. I had an HP laptop that wouldn't kick into gear and needed it fixed for a pair of fantasy baseball drafts at Austin sports bars in the next several days. Charles confidently told me they could get it fixed quickly. I was prepared to leave it overnight, even though my first draft is coming up in two days. Charles said, "Come back in two hours, and we should have you up and running." It didn't even take that long. I went home and he called an hour later to say, "laptop fixed, you can come and get it." I went back to DE / Round Rock, Charles made sure I was satisfied that the computer was working properly, which it was, and away I went, still giving me plenty of time to study for the fantasy drafts. And get this: There was no charge, because I bought the laptop at their Round Rock location within the last year. Sweet.
Very disappointed. I bought a computer set, missing the cord. I oder the cord, it's ran slow, can't update to window 11. I exchanged, pay shipping and restocking fee. Bought another one, slow, return, paid for shipping and restocking fee, get store credit. Bought an iPad, old, can't update. I'm stuck. Should I keep it or return, pay shipping and restocking fee, get store credit again? I don't want anything from there anymore My money is getting less and less with nothing worth. Bad company. Scam.
This was my second time at Discount. The store was too busy on Saturday so I came back on Tuesday and I am glad I did. I got a Macbook 15 inch that just arrived for $475. Greg is the man.
I recently purchased a Dell laptop with an i7 processor from Discount Electronics, which was much better than I expected for $300. Greg was a big help. The laptop itself is like new and they even gave me a one year warranty free. I'm impressed with its performance and couldn't be happier with my purchase.
I bought a refurbished laptop from them and was promised a 90 day return if anything went wrong only to have it arive as an empty shell with nothing inside the laptop, I immediately tried to return it to them saying there are no refunds. Complete scam.

I stopped into the North store a few weeks ago and purchased a Dell tower from Diana who was amazingly helpful. She's forgotten more than I'll ever know about computers;-) I went back yesterday to purchase another Dell tower with a 2TB SSD and worked with Patience. Again, another young woman who blew me away with her knowledge. Picked it up today and was greeted by Tim, and manager Matt. These people are ROCK STARS! Great Team! Thanks, y'all. I bought a Dell laptop here 4 months ago. Yesterday it just wouldn't power on. I called and Greg went above and beyond to assist me. I didn't even realize it was still under warranty. They are going to fix it free. I only pay to ship it to Austin. I wasn't expecting that.

My husband bought a refurbished pc form them. Was told there was a 90 day return. When it didn't work right and I called I was told that there was a 90 day return policy. But when I wanted to return it I was told that there was only a 7 day return and they would give me a store credit. By the time the conversation ended I was told I was to stupid to know how to hook up the computer. To bring it in and they would hook it up for me and label everything so I would know how to do it when I got home. Great company NOT.
Greg's customer service was outstanding. He tackled my problem swiftly and with a positive attitude. It is nice to have someone answer the phone and speak English :)
This company has NEVER answered the phone and email communication tends to be generic and unfruitful. EUGENE and JOE (or their customer service staff in general) are not working in the best interest of the company and could careless about making any sales. I've contacted them multiple times requesting a discounted rate if I purchased HUNDREDS of their units in bulk, but both kept giving me BS responses saying they " can't discount anything at the moment." This isn't logical, considering that it would cost THOUSANDS of dollars to ship out each individual unit to hundreds of customers and my bulk order would only cost a few hundred. Now I'm forced to take my business elsewhere.
Ordered a laptop at 10 pm. Found out I didn't need it an 9am. Called them immediately but they insisted on charging me a 15% restocking fee so I moved forward with the order. Not a kind policy.
Please tell Greg how excellent his service was. He was very informative and patient with me during my purchase. I highly recommend him and Discount Electronics.
Answer: Real bad CS and will intentionally misguide you. And you can't get a refund beyond store credit.
Answer: Do not order from them. They are a real gamble on quality and you won't be able to get your money back. If you plan to order from somewhere secondhand I would recommend you at least read through the warranty and return policy to make sure its legit
