I bought 3 refurbished desktops from these bozos. ZERO out of 3 worked. They offered me "in store credit" - like I would ever buy anything from them ever again! They won't return my MONEY, nor my phone calls. They are the worst I've ever dealt with. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CHARLETONS!

When i entered Discount Electronics i was greeted by "Rico" he took my temperature and also gave me some hand sanitizer which i thought was great, that said to me that Discount Electronics took the virus Covid 19 seriously. I was also greeted by "Richard" he took my laptop and started working on it right away and all the while he was explaining to me what he was doing, which i thought that was nice of him. The whole crew Rico and Richard were great, and gave me awesome customer service. I WILL tell my friends about Discount Electronics in Round Rock

THESE GUYS ARE A SCAM. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They make you think you are getting a high quality, rebuilt machine when in reality you are getting junk. They prey on the novice computer consumers and old people. You can buy what ever it is they have, brand new, online, delivered to your home or office and get a real warranty for less money. I bought two, DELL, solid state mid range computers for $500. Thought that was fair for used equipment. Got them to the office and our IT guy said, "hey these have hard drives, they are not sold state and one of them has a very weak hard drive that will not last more than a couple of months. I took time immediately back to the store and David (long hair) told me that Dave (short hair) who sold me the computers was out and that he must have miss read the label on the computer. They had nothing similar that was solid state so I asked him to simply refund my $500 that had been charged just 30 minutes prior. He said they cant do but can only issue an "in store credit" less some restocking fee? Things got very direct and he took my (broken computers) that I had paid for to the back and told me to leave! Very, Very weird and strange and illegal. Our company is filing a small claims suit against them claiming, Fraud, Theft, Deceptive Trade Practices and Making false Statements. Also, the five star reviews you see on Yelp for these guys are all fake.

As a professional reviewer and respected marketing authority and critic, I am proud to report a new reining champion in the dumbest individuals in all marketing competition. Discount electronics believe that irritating and torturing clients with badgering emails will eventually lead to profit. Yes, that's what I said. Ridiculous? No. You see,I am presently receiving several emails a day in a little game they like to play to spam me because I reported them for excessive email abuse. Sure, I can block them and settle the issue, but the more important point to understand, is the child like, imbecilic mind of an individual that would do such a chicken $#*! thing on a daily basis because he believes is is irritating the customer. What he has really achieved, is the loss of a customer, plus the wrath of the customer that, through word of mouth, and loss a future business, will induce. I thank them for this spam, please keep it up. I will also keep up my retaliation, and monetarily, I will cost them tens of thousands of dollars in revenue by exposing who and what they are... disgusting, unintelligent, vengeful looses, with no common sense. Would you risk your livelihood by purchasing anything from people like this who may be needed for service after the sale? Not a chance. Keep 'em coming boys, I like a good war. See you around.

I bought a dell desktop from discount electronics. It would randomly shut down. So being a computer tech myself I decided I would just fix it. No big deal. So first I replaced the hard drive. Still doing it. Then I replaced the ram still no luck so then I replaced the power supply still no good. So I replaced everything but MB and CPU. So I email them and I said this computer shut down randomly and that I replaced HDD and other stuff but they still needed a screenshot of a dell diagnostic test. I told them it doesn't show everything but sure I would run it with the bad hard drive in it to show them it did have an issue. And I told them not just to replace the hard drive it wasn't that. Of course, that's all these people did so I received the same dell computer with the same issue they didn't fix a thing. Matter of fact I sent it back they received it on the 27 I got it back on the 30. That's fast. LOL, they didn't do a freaking thing. Well, they put in new HDD installed windows. Send back and it's still doing the same thing. These people r going to screw with the wrong guy and get hurt. Matter of fact I would drive to Texas and take care of it myself if I had some time I could take off. Anyway, don't buy anything from these guys. Not an opinion it's a fact. Go to Better Business Bureau for yourself. Or just google Discount Electronics reviews and read what they do to people. We need to shut down people like this. They rip off lots of people.

Once again, Discount Electronics in Round Rock has provided IT support to restore my business and personal IT operations.

The previous time simply required consultation on a possible trojan horse attack. Turned out, the problem went away by removing the installation and carrying it to DE in Round Rock where everything turned out ok.

Today started out bad but ended up back in operation. Windows has disappointed in smoothly putting the monitor to sleep at close of business and then waking it up again nexr business day. So I have used the hardware solution built into my LG monitor. There is a button on the monitor that toggles the screen to dark and back to normal view.

The past few weeks, when the monitor toggles back to normal view, the screen flashes several times before settling back into normal operation.

Because of this flashing, I have avoided toggling to dark screen and just left the monitor in normal view all the time. Today, at beginning of business, the screen was dead.

After checking to insure DE in Round Rock was open (Friday after Independence Day) I hauled my hardware to DE. Armondo quickly set everything up and narrowed the trouble down to the power supply for the monitor (a small brick-shaped object in the power cord.)

Armondo sold me a new universal power supply, customized it with the proper voltage and plug adapters, and sent me home with my stuff.

I spent the rest of the day reinstalling my computer hardware and ended up better than I started because I was finally able to find the opportunity to install my new unbreakable power supply that would have been too disruptive to install during normal operations.

Another five stars to Armondo and DE in Round Rock.

Once you put your credit card, you will not see that money ever again. They are tricky and their computers are old, use and bad condition.
