Their tech damaged my roof they told me they damaged it gave me a number to file a claim I did that and they've blown me off ever since no one will call back now and will text back no one will email back do not buy this service
I called DTV 2 weeks ago. I chose July 25 as my installation date. The tech was supposed to be here between the hours of 8am-12pm today. When he didn't show up by 1:30, I called to customer service. I was told that the tech unscheduled my appointment and there was no other technician available. I didn't even get a text of phone call before the tech cancelled my appointment. So unprofessional. They should waive the installation fee.
We were with out our NBC affiliate for over two months this summer. We are now without our ABC affiliate, as fees are negotiated. As I am paying for these channels, DIRECTV has not come to me to lower what I am paying. In addition, I received an email today that said I was eligible for a local channel connection. I had to call a phone number, to receive the LCC device and was told the wait time was 15 minutes. I was on the line over an hour and a half before I spoke to anyone, only to find out that my area is not eligible for the connection. The service rep was excellent, but there is no way for me to speak to any of the officers in charge to level a complaint.
I've been a direct TV customer for many many years. I recently sold my house and asked that my service be cancelled. Direct TV recommended a suspension until my move. I said fine. After 60 days Direct TV turned my service back on without my knowledge. So I dont have a TV and they bill me for this period they turned it back on. I said no way but I will pay the outstanding bill for the internet and phone but not for a service i didn't use and was clear i wanted it suspended. Now they say they cant separate the bill. So they are demanding payment for the time it was suspended. A brilliant scam, suggest suspension and then and then turn and bill for it!
Direct TV is the worst cable company around. I lost a couple channels and was told they were working on getting them back. The gave me some channels to compinsant for the ones I lost and they were channels nobody watches. I got my channels back for 4 days and lost them again. I called and got the same sob story that they are working on it. I told them they have til the end of this week to fix the problem or I'm going to another company. I'm tired of dealing with these idiots!
I've had Directv for 2 years and have had nothing but issue after issue. They finally agreed to provide me a new router. The one they issued me was 5 years old and never worked probably. I received the new router and returned the old one. One month later, I received a notice that my account had been charged $127.20 because I "failed to return" the original piece of junk. One hour on the phone convincing them I had returned it. This is a grift. A good way for ATT to get customers to pay for their useless crap.
They are so petty, they put up a news mix channel and only put liberal channels on it, plus 2 weather channels. They put Newsmax on and another so called conservative channel but put a gay channel between them. What a bunch of $#*!s.
An obsolete service designed to drain consumers of money. They have no respect for long-time customers and find endless ways to keep nickle&diming with a bunch of made-up costs. I HIGHLY recommend cutting the cord and never getting involved with this shady company for ANY service.
This service is overpriced, you see the same movies over and over and over and over and over old $#*! movies everyone has seen a million times oh and don't let me forget reality TV, who watches this crap
Horrific customer service compounded by language barriers and lack of knowledge about basic service offerings. For example, I wasn't told that my entire library of recordings would be deleted because of my transition from satellite to streaming, nor was I told that the NFL channel was not offered through streaming. My transition from satellite to streaming was a multiple call, multiple transfer (from satellite to streaming and back again), massively frustrating descent into hopelessness. And yes, they owe me money too which I have not received yet.
I was a month behind I called they made payment arrangements to pay part and rest next month with new bill said it would be fine so I set up arrangements and paid part. Three days later turned off. I called told them about payment arrangements and they said oh we see the note where you set up and working said it would be ok, but we don't honer payment arrangements and will not turn back on!
I can't remember the last time I watched a day of TV without DirecTV telling me to watch a different program because they can't keep the one I am watching...working. If I wanted to be watching a different program... I would be. What's really great is... DirectTV blames ATT and ATT blames DirecTV. Well... it's DirecTV. Absolutely terrible...terrible service. I had sooooo many fewer issues with Xfinity! Can't wait til they have service here.
Was told HBO Max was free. The lady at direct TV helped us set it up. Come to find out we've been getting charged for over a year through the Roku app because a representative who works at direct TV failed to tell us we had to use the same email for HBO Max as the email we use for direct TV. We don't get our bank statements. They go straight to our accountant because we own a large business. Direct TV said HBO Max had to refund us the $256. HBO Max said Roku has to refund it because they charged it. Roku will only refund 2 months. They said direct TV has to refund or credit the rest of we have to dispute it with the bank. I can call customer service and say my remote will not work and the rep will literally say ok so you want to cancel your showtime? So over their terrible customer service.
Been with Directv since the company started. Now I'm about done with them. Almost all the recordings freezes, locks up, receiver system crashes, sometimes reboots in the middle of a program, Fast forward/rewind functions are slow and delayed to the point that using them is aggravating. My internet is not the problem >100Mbps. The systems just stops at times and restarts 2-3 minuets later. What is going on?
I put up with it when it was just a movie... I can just watch again that was ok, but now it's football and some of my biggest games are lost due to these system issues. Nortre Dame recording froze twice lost the whole second half. I spent hours on the phone and systems resets and still no resolution.
As a platform, I have had an acceptable experience with DirecTV. Service has been good, and a repair/adjustment to my system was done well. Being a news junkie, I see an unacceptable media bias. Watching all major news programs, it is clear the political bent of all but the BBC. Cancelation of OneAmericaNews was noted, and now Newsmax. My perception is that you need to watch multiple news sources to get a legitimate view of current events - elimination of two prominent conservative channels skews the viewing options. I am old enough to remember when "The News" was just the facts. Not the case now. DirecTV stop being manipulative.
Out of all communication company's in the world DTV would have to be dead last place. I am sure I would still be a customer cause I am a idiot but they shut off my service because they could not find my payment in the company. Had letter from my bank showing payment was processed and paid to AT&T Uvirse. So I told them if you can't find payment and won't turn it back on while they try to locate it then cancel service they did. 18 years always paid. I hope everyone wakes up and cancel DTV stand up against companies that do not deserve your hard earned money. I will pay any more money to get TV but never DTV ever again. I don't care who buys then next

Wife got suckered into a deal by a lady at Costco. We switched over everything - tv / internet/ and cell service. Since then, it has been an absolute nightmare. Just spent 67 minutes on the phone with a supervisor in Idaho ( Im in Fresno Calif) - at the end, nothing accomplished. I have to call back in the morning and schedule the 3rd tech to my house appointment. I could type hundreds of words on what has happened - hours on the phone etc. Just please, take my advice and do not do business with Direct TV - you will be as sorry as I am if you do.
This is like the 3rd or 4th time that you have taken cbs off air in the summer. Almost all the shows I watch are on cbs so if it is not back on the air by the time fall season starts in aweek I will be canceling and going with someone who takes care of its customers especially since I am paying over twice what I started out paying. Do the right thing for us the customers. The very first day 21 years ago my boss ask who pays my salary answer is the customers.
He came into my house and I have a 20 year old dog who does not even move she's deaf and blind. She cockapoo. He proceeded to tell me if I don't put her away that they could have her put down. She was laying under the table and didn't even know he was there.laying under the table and didn't even know he was there I was in the process of putting her away, but I have two toddlers. Running around so I could not do it fast enough.
I have a very bad experience with DirectV. One they over charged me and also took their equipment from me. After I have paid them all their money and be with them for two year. When I canceled their service, they want me to pay them another $149 for canceling the service and reported on my credit score as late payment. Too bad a company and they are not honest in their billings. I will not encourage anybody to go with DirecTV.
Answer: I saw a ad on a mailing paper for some really decent pricing but it was all a scam you do not get the pricing that were on the paper
Answer: It is a scam 100%. Just read the reviews. You don't realize it until they got your money and you need something! They are holding peoples money from them that doesn't belong to them. They may even tell you you'll get it back. Just keep waiting, you wont. Then you have to call back and go through the entire process again. I'm on 6 weeks now/Overdraft fees/No Thanksgiving/ and I have photo proof I cancelled 2 days before my free trial was up. They just didn't want me to cancel! Lol. They do things different here. You have been WARNED my friends!
Answer: Doesn't matter since they ignore the discrepancy once they have you under contract. No wonder their rating is so poor!
