My regular shoe size is 6.5 and I ordered an ugg pair of shoes's 7 online. They are too... small. I need to exchange to one size up. But I have to pay three times shipping fee for this pair of shoes.

They have a great men's section of clothes. I had to buy gifts for my brothers and father for Christmas and so I decided to give it a try and it was worth it. Their sizes were so perfect and fit them really good.
I was going shopping at this store with some friends (we are all minors) and we were at Independence Center. We were going to try things on and a worker came up to us and said we should be shopping in the kids section and said the clothes were downstairs and proceeded to take the item out of my friends hand without asking. We just ignored it and went downstairs, when we did there was no clothes so we went back upstairs and the kids section was right there. Not only had she lied to us but she was very rude and none of the clothes would fit us because they were for young kids. But we kept looking around and two other workers were giving us dirty looks and gossiping to eachother. One of the workers called security on us because we "cant be alone after 3pm" it was around 4 at the time. So we got escorted out by an officer. Get better workers that are not disrespectful. If I could I would give 0 stars but I cant so have the 1.
Shopping today at Dillards. Dressing room in youth girls department is horrible. The smell of urine and human waste is disgustingly horrible. I made my granddaughter leave the area. One of the employees said kids poop and urinate in that dressing room all the time and that they do not shampoo only vacuum. OMG! This is Dillards for goodness sake!

The associates and managers appear to be friendly, but they are really not. I mean they really know how to put on a show for people. They have too much miscommunication with their customers as well. They sent me the wrong stuff, and they tell you can get money back to a card, but they force a gift card upon you.
I ordered a dress from Dillards online that I was supposed to wear to a friends wedding. Dillards sent me an order and shipping confirmation. They provided a tracking number. However, I found out 10 days later that the order was never shipped, because the item was not in stock. No one has ever notified me. They had no clue this happened and when I contacted them, they said sorry, we will give you your money back. How can you run a business not knowing what's going on in your own warehouse and giving fake tracking numbers so customers that actually rely on them. Now I have no dress to wear to the wedding and I could have ordered something else if I wasn't lied to.
I always have received great help and service when shopping at Dillard's. The staff is has always been very helpful and informative about sales items. The price on designer purses are always GREAT! And the Southern Living towels are very good quality, and the prices were great.
Ordered a dress online. Followed size chart and dress was way off. Not able to even exchange for correct size or store credit. Would not recommend purchasing online. Waited 30+ minutes to even speak to an online rep.
I have never had to do an Exchange with Dillard's. The one time that I did, I was on hold for 30 minutes. Someone picked up, never said a word, and hung up on me. I called back. 45 minutes this time. Someone picked up, never said a word, and hung up on me. I tried chat. No one would respond. I sent emails. No one would respond. I finally called the store and they gave me a phone number to text. I finally after hours of trying to get this Exchange done I was able to get a status. Finally days later I get another email saying they're going to charge me $20.50 to send me me one bra. It took one month to get to this point in the exchange. I told them to give me my money back instead and I will take my business elsewhere. I will never shop Dillard's online again.
I ordered a Penelton jacket thru Dillards for a Christmas gift for my husband. After only 11 wears the zipper gave out when he sat down. This jacket was one that he did not wear regularly and was more of a special occasions jacket so the wear and tear on it was nothing. I went ahead and called Penelton first to see if they would do an exchange on the jacket since it was well past the 30 days for a return thru dillards at this point. Penelton said they could exchange it for another one for the original purchasing person (Dillards) but would not exchange it for us since we were the third party in the transaction. When I contacted Dillards of this information they said they would not take it back even though they would not be out anything. This to me is Extremely poor customer service. If they would have helped us do the exchange, I would continue to be a dillards customer but apparently, they don't care to keep current customers happy.
Needed to exchange the item I ordered. Item cost $35, after shipping $45. Then had to pay $10 return label. I shipped the item and then contacted them to see if it had been received. They said no it had not been received and did an automatic refund of $25 to me. Did not ask for a refund, I did not want a refund, I wanted in exchange for smaller size. They only refunded me $25. So overall I am now out $30. And I have no item. I have continuously asked them to ship me the correct item and to take back their refund.
Hello, I went to store and found a shirt I liked but they only had size L. I asked associate if they could send me a size M. She said yes. She didn't mention to me about shipping charges. I thought they use to either send to store for no shipping charge or send to your house for a small charge. She processed the order and when I questioned the price she said shipping was flat rate $10.00. Thought that was too much. I asked if I could cancel and she said "No". She offered to call a manager over for me but I declined. I just wish she would of given me the information on shipping before I ordered. Also, my fault for not asking right away. Dillards has good selection of clothing but prices are so high. I usually will shop their sales.
Purchased a coach purse full price the next day they reduced it by $60... i called for price adjustment and the said they do not offer price adjustments. Most other stores offer price adjustments... very disapointed and will never shop at Dillards ever Again
Canadians - before you start the work of choosing items you wish to order from Dillard's, and later learning your credit card and PayPal won't work for you to proceed, know that Canadian credit cards are not accepted by Dillard's. I spent an hour shopping, then 45 minutes on two calls to Dillard's (the line was disconnected during my first call) only to learn that Canadian credit cards are not accepted.
They refuse to give me my money back to my credit card instead they keep trying to push me to accept a refund by a gift card. They got my money. I didn't pay by gift card why should I get a "refund" by gift card?
Awful shady business. Never buy from them once they get your money they keep it no matter what.

I ordered a non returnable dress online a while ago. I understand it was non returnable under normal condition, and I never intended to return it, but the dress was defective and when I tried to return it in the store the manager said she cannot do anything about it and I can take the dress to a retail store and pay someone to fix it. Unbelievable!
Not the place to buy for other people. Even when you have the original receipt Dilliards refuses anything to the recipient other than a gift card regardless of how the person paid unless you would like to have the amount put back on the purchasers credit card to let them know you don't like their gift. Horrible business practices!
I brought a pair of nice boots online at Dillards, the day I received the boots I noticed the price online dropped by almost 40.00 so I went to Dillards told them I brought them online and they replied, we can not give you a price difference and if you returned the boot we can not sale it back to for 24 hours. Dillards I feel like I was ripped off because when you shipped my boots out they had already been put on a bigger sale. I was very unhappy with your policy buyer beware.
Dillards has Ten Star products both online and in store. I have shopped the stores while on business and they have great quality items. I take stars away for the shipping, return shipping cost, and the failure to have coupon codes often. I have never had an issue with Dillards ( I used a coupon code and had no need to return) as they often have limited edition items which only Dillards carries. However, the coupon code made the sale possible other wise the item would have cost an additional 11.95 and returns are on you. Macy's and others make online shopping with Dillards not necessary- as they are much better with shipping cost and returns. I will continue to shop brick and mortar Dillards and only online with codes. Sale prices are not the best as Dillards is not a competitive in pricing.
I just tried to return month old shoes that the zipper had broken. I just wanted to exchange them. I did not have my receipt. Unlike Nordstrom who will bend over backwards to help you I was told absolutely NO! I could show them on my bank statement the purchase but they basically said I could have gotten them anywhere. These are $200 shoes, one month old that have a broken zipper. I will NEVER shop at Dillards again, when Nordstom is a much better alternative and Nordstom will treat you like a customer they'd like to keep.
Answer: I don't know about their in-store customer service, but the phone representative I talked to was snippy. As far as their return policy, for online purchases, just be sure not to use PayPal because they won't refund it and don't tell you that when you order. You have to find out the hard way, when you get a "gift card" in the mail.
Answer: There may be a few negative complaints but Dillard's is actually one of the highest rated retailers on this entire site! It pretty much has one of the best overall scores. And that's saying a lot for any retailer these days. I was surprised myself. If you've had issues, try to take a multi-pronged approach such as myself, calling, emailing, live chat (if they have it) - until you get a resolution. Also, try to find a feedback section and state your case there as well. Good Luck.
