The worst retailer! I purchased two pairs of pants and tried to return them two weeks later. They refused to take them back just because I removed the tags. I spend over $1000 a year at that store but no more. They will never see another penny from me. Their associates were so rude! When I tried to elevate the issue, they had the same rude person call me to tell me the same thing. Goodbye, Dillards!
The store manager was called tothe women's department to help resolve a garment issue to be purchased for my birthday. I noticed the garment had been returned back to the floor damaged. To my surprise being a advit Dillard's customer for years when I encounter the store manager Rachel was nasty arrogant, unwilling or lack the proper training a leader to resolve. Needless to say she was no help, just made the problem ugly. However, after Miss Nasty left, the clerk come up with a solution and order the dress for me online! Problem resolve. Dillard's corporate/regional office please contact me.
Everytime I go in there the associates are fighting over you to get the sales because they must make quotas in order to keep their pay. I use to manage there 15 years ago. Its even worse now to the point I hate walking in there and I love their merchandise. I literally hate their service. I get anxiety because they treat their associates terrible by dangling a carrot with their pay and then the customers have to deal with their stress. It's completely unexceptable to make either party feel that way because the company is that cheap. Please consider treating people with respect you will see better sales on all ends.
I placed 2 Black Friday sales orders. The first order was cancelled after 5 days. Now I will not receive the order and Black Friday sales are over at the other department stores. The second order had to be shipped from 2 different stores and they charged my credit card extra fees without my permission.
I purchased a dress for my daughter today in store at full price of $138 and went online to send her a picture of it only to find that it was permanently marked down online to $48.30. When we went back in to return a different item and request that the online price be honored for this dress, we were told that they won't do that, We would have to order online to get the online price (and wait for it to be delivered which isn't an option, since we're leaving town tomorrow). According to a legal review I read, this is a violation of the Consumer Protection Act, where an advertised price must be honored, and a store's online site is an advertising arm of that store. Associate said that Dillards.com and Dillard's stores are two different entities, but if that is so, then why can you return something purchased online to a store AND my digital receipt has a link to "Shop Dillards.com"?
I really don't know how this store survives. Never find what I'm looking for in this store and if I do the price is astronomical. So I never buy anything here any more. Use to be a great store. What happened? Boring store.
I purchased a boots online, never received my
Order. They claimed they shipped it, post office has no record of it. And dillards refused to refund my 150.00. Said they do no refund or replaced online orders. What nonsense is that. This company is money hungry and do not honor customers agreement. Go to Macy's if you need to never shop from dillards because they will
Never send your item and take your money.
Buyer beware! If your gift doesn't fit you. Too bad, Dilliards won't take it back. They act like they don't want to retain you as a customer! I'll take all my business to Nordstrom's, where they treat customers like royalty and want to satisfy them - no matter what the issue may be! Buyer beware at Dilliards!
Was ready to purchase shoes until I saw the shipping cost to Hawaii,$35.00! Macy's, Nordstom, Neimans, Amazon All ship for free and very rude customer service when I inquired about it. The worst on line shopping experience ever
Got a $500 gift card that i purchased at customer service. I received the receipt and card. I gave it to my granddaughter and the balance was zero. I called their corporate office and was told the balance had been transferred to another card the same day but could not tell me where it was or any other details! They said they did not have access to that information. I was told I had to travel 30 min back to the same store I purchased.so I arrive with my receipt for answers and the manager acted rude and accused me of trying to scam them! He would give me no answers or any info on how to help me even though I had both my receipt and the debit card used to pay for it. My money vanished. My Dillard's stole from us and then accused us of wrong doing. My family and I will never do business with them again!
Sales clerk insisted on measuring me and helping me fit bras. She acted like she knew everything when in fact she did not know the first thing about fitting or sales. She measured me completely wrong and tried to push a bras size that was way off for me. In spite of the fact that I told her the size she gave me was too small, she insisted that she was right and kept pushing the wrong size and styles that I was not interested in. I purchased two bras, but I do not feel comfortable with them and will be returning both. I will never shop in that department or store again.
My wife is obssesed with shopping, I guess lots of men around the world can understand my pain. Anyway, I always support her new dresses, shirts and skirts. However, sometimes she wears awful clothes which I don't like but I can't directly tell it to her. So, I have decided to try another option. I ordered here new clothes by my own in order to present it to her, assuring her that she's wearing nice dresses because they're gifted by me, from the bottom of my heart. This service is pretty awesome, there is a big assortment here and I want to recommend all the men such a lifehack.
There is nothing that tells you when you buy something on PayPal, they won't refund PayPal--they'll give you "store credit." I live 500 miles from the nearest store and there is nothing else I want to buy online from them. I would have just used a credit card if I had known--there should be a large notice when you click "pay with paypal" if this is their backwards policy. I'm stuck with a $350 Dillards card, which they refuse to cancel (although they could) and send a check. To top it all off, their customer "service" representative was snippy and rude.
The manager Mrs. Sharon is a terrible person who wants to step on people. If you get another job she will speak badly of you to ruin your reputation and you can't get a job. She under pays all her employees and she threatens people she is going
To fire you. She makes the store get a terrible customer service.
Buyers beware. Dillards has a horrible return policy for on sale items (you only have 3 days to return most items so be very careful when buying). As for the service, expect to wait several minutes for someone to help you even when the store is empty in the men's department but especially in the purse department. In addition, purses that you could find on sale online are more expensive here. Online sales also have a better return policy. Save yourself a trip and go to Macy's or shop online. If you are in the south Texas, McAllen area, Dillards is worse than most areas.
Dillards for years has been my favorite place to shop, No More! I feel Ivanka Trumps special treatment and the conflict of interest of she and her family dealings have pushed me over the limit. Sorry Dillards until I hear you no longer support this administration. I will begin shopping elsewhere!
I ordered a pair of shoes in size 8 1/2. I received them today and they were size 7. They're on clearance so I can't return them. I called the one 800 number and the lady proceeded to tell me that it was my fault that I ordered size 7. I haven't worn size 7 since I was in middle school. She told me they couldn't do anything about it because I ordered the wrong shoes. And now she's tell me there's no 8 1/2. So basically they took my order and gave me what they could and stead of the size that I need. So I guess it's time to pay off my credit card and close out that account and start shopping someplace else.
I wanted to return a dress and pair of shoes. 30 days returned period is all that Dillard's allows. I was at almost 60 days and they would not return my unworn items. I lost weight and the things I ordered no longer fit. Who has a 30 day return policy on clothes? Apparently lame Dillard's. Also, shipping is crazy. Payed shipping fee when I ordered and you pay the shipping to return it. Rediculous, I will never order from Dillard's again especially since there are other companies out there doing it way better.
I have never seen a bunch of lazy ignorant employees in my life the older ladies working should find time to bath or use deodorant i damm near had to throw up if i still drank i would have blew chunks all over them get a grip dillards never get a penny out of me you suck and smell bad
Dilliards customer service and unwillingness to help customers with valid returns is appalling. I would recommend never buying anything from Dillards that has a 1% chance to need to be returned. Their employees are trained to blame their computer for their inability to help reasonable requests. I do not recall any other retail stores that are this archaic and greedy in their methodology. Shop elsewhere!
Answer: I don't know about their in-store customer service, but the phone representative I talked to was snippy. As far as their return policy, for online purchases, just be sure not to use PayPal because they won't refund it and don't tell you that when you order. You have to find out the hard way, when you get a "gift card" in the mail.
Answer: There may be a few negative complaints but Dillard's is actually one of the highest rated retailers on this entire site! It pretty much has one of the best overall scores. And that's saying a lot for any retailer these days. I was surprised myself. If you've had issues, try to take a multi-pronged approach such as myself, calling, emailing, live chat (if they have it) - until you get a resolution. Also, try to find a feedback section and state your case there as well. Good Luck.
Answer: Nope -Dillards has a horrible return policy and are very rude if you go in person
