I had to deal with them through Amazon and it never actually made it to Canada. It got held up at customs and then was set back to the sender. Terrible company. Had to buy the same item from in my own country, for more money. Time and money wasted, thanks to the incompetence of DHL.
I have never had a good experience with DHL. The boxes arrive damaged if they arrive at all. I have had packages never show up that they claim were delivered. I had a package dropped outside a bldg, where it easily could have been stolen, when the shipping address included the office room number where it was supposed to be delivered. I don't have these problems with UPS or Fedex!
I am writing to inform all those people who ever think of ordering the delivery through DHL. Please do not get involved with DHL as they are only interested in running away after throwing the stuff.
My and family has visited USA before a month and we have ordered the delivery of our critical stuff from India through Agarwal Packers which has a tie up with DHL. We had clearly informed Agarwal to deliver our stuff only on 30th July which was also postpone to 2nd Aug after all agreement over the email.
DHL without any prior intimation and communication has delivered our package at the destination in Edison on 28th July whereas we were in new York. I had no one in Edison to receive my package and my package was lying as unknown since 28th july. After complaints to DHL and numerous complains there is no sense of ownership and the package is just lying outside my destination with us being in new York. Please be careful if you ever plan to order the delivery through any company which has a tie up with DHL. Pathetic service and no guarantee. The pain that customers suffer has no respect. They also so not take any proof of delivery and no signature. Just throw away your stuff without any communication.
If you need to have your package marinate then this is company go to if you're trying to make it reach there within the year avoid like smallpox

I purchased a large order from a coMputer store. Already paid $110 to get it shipped. From the terrible website to the not helpful customer service reps, it has been a terrible choice. My order kept getting pushed out further and further until they said "someone from customs had questions for me" and "they will call you in 2 hours or less." Of course they didn't. I call them back. "We're closed" the annoying phone bot says. I wait until tomorrow, they say the same thing. Still haven't received my order. $1500 down the drain thanks to them.
I have never ever received a package being shipped by DHL. If I order something and it says it's coming on DHL I already know I'll never see it. Are they a real company? Has anyone ever received a package from them? Seems the all get lost the day after they pick the package up from the seller. I ordered $700 in car parts from the same seller it came from 3 warehouses. The 2 that used FedEx showed up on time. The package from DHL got "lost" and now I'm waiting on 2 more orders coming via DHL, 1 hasn't moved in 4 days and I expect the same situation from the other. I really am not sure this is a real company.
If I could give no stars I would. Awaiting my new UK passport to the US, it was going to be delivered on numerous occasions and was delivered only after I called and said I was going to report them. The next morning a guy turned up with my passport in a white envelope but no DHL packaging. He gave it to me and when I said where do I sign, he said 'don't bother'. I then got notifications that my old passport that I'd sent with my original application was arriving. I received the same messages that it was coming on numerous days but did not arrive. After 10 days I got a text to say that my package had been delivered - it had not. I made a formal complaint and later that day, surprise, surprise my package was delivered. The guy, as before, came in a personal car and did not want a signature. I contacted DHL that the package had now been delivered whereupon they denied ever having both packages and to contact the sender. Abyssal service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DHL
Worst agency i ever used. My first issue was a lost of 4,500. Dollars because my packages got held by DHL customs, and somehow got set back to the shipper by DHL. And now they just lost another package of mine. When I called them all I can say rude is an understatement and somehow it is a joke to them in Arizona DHL. There ratings on this site is a reflection of there service.
Unhelpful phone calls. Have multiple defunct websites to pay still up, which all slowly redirect you to the proper page. Excessive costs for import fees you are not clearly made aware of. I hope that the CEO of DHL's house floods, and that nobody is hurt, but nothing in his house ever dries. Forever more, I hope his couch is always damp and soggy, and makes a squish whenever he sits on it. I hope his sheets are always damp and he can never dry them.
If I had to choose between getting hit in the guts with a baseball bat, and having DHL as my courier, I would already be tensing up ready for the baseball bat to swing.
From my most recent experience with DHL I do not need anymore time to experience the audacity of bad business within this company. Wednesday of last week and overnight shipping was paid for through DHL. The next day when I was suppose to receive the package the deliverer of my package overlooked my unit provided in the address and never brought my package to my apartment. I called DHL later Thursday to see where my package was to be told that they didn't have a Unit number provided but I reiterated that the Unit number was on the address for the order and it was looked over somehow, the only thing they could do is continue to postpone my package until the next week even after correcting the information with this company. I needed that package to insure I locked down a job, instead here I am writing a review for an already reviewed horrible company who has postponed myself from getting a job. If you chose anywhere to ship your packages through. Do NOT use DHL Delivery to save yourself some money, time, and heart ache.
They keep my parcel and refuse to deliver. I called several times. The sender has to solve this although dhl admits they have the parcel in their distribution center
I placed my purchase order on Shopee on 6. 7. 2022 and the seller shipped out my item via DHL courier service on the next day. And yet, to-date (19. 7. 2022), I have yet to receive anything from DHL. The system says that they attempted service on 16. 7. 2022. However, that is not true as I did not receive any call or text from the despatch at all times, hence I called to seek clarification on 18. 7. 2022. Then, they promised me to deliver the item to my doorstep in the morning of 19. 7. 2022. I am writing this review at 5:01p. M, and yet I did not see a single shadow of DHL's despatch, let alone the parcel outside my house. The delivery status on Shopee remains "out for delivery" as of now. This is my first time of dealing with DHL and it would be my last time. Seriously, the 1 star review that I gave here is over-rated. I would have given negative star if there were such an available option.
I am very disappointed with DHL services for the second time in a row. Recently right today the 18th of July@ 1133hrs, I am home the whole time waiting for that package, no-one rang my bell &@ 1153 I saw the email that my parcel was delivered at home (NL), only not to find it anywhere at my place, neither is it in y letter box. I called DHL only to spend more than 10mins with no tangible answer. How do you deliver something without even ringing their bells & signing things out? I am a disgruntled customer of DHL
Never once have they delivered on delivery date that they send emails to showing what day your package is coming. When your call they add in bla bla bla is there anything else i can help you with. Well you haven't helped me with anything so you should not ask if there is anything ELSE! Pay a real company instead of using DHL. I will nit purchase another item if they use DHL for shipping. They are absolutely terrible.

I have screenshots that it's been out for delivery past 3 days, day one changed to delayed, day two they have removed the fact it was out for delivery, day 3 got an email saying delayed again.

Look at the pictures, put for delivery on the 13th and now on there records nothing about the 13th apparently arrived at the depo on the 14th now, hoping they get another 2 days to try, so possibly 4/7 days if they don't work weekends,
DHL express is simply fantastic. Especially for international deliveries, they are really amazing and deliver packages on time. DHL is my all time first preference for sending packages to India. Many thanks to DHL for their prompt service. I also want to point out that there is some miscommunication going between the DHL Staff. I ordered for an envelope and two times the driver came without an envelope. Finally I had to seal my document in a cover and hand over. They got to find a way to fill those gaps. Regardless the package was delivered on time.
Years of 24 hour packages without a problem from Italy to Ireland. A couple of times weather conditions affected flight but nothing in DHL's control. By far the best courier around.

Horrendous customer service. My package was delivered to a service point nearby and I was told I had to have a code to pick it up. I have requested the code multiple times, rang dhl multiple times and all I was told is that another company send the codes so it's not their problem? I then asked for the contact details of this other company and was told they did not have them! The lack of communication is appalling. I have emailed them, rang them and messaged them on both twitter and facebook as per their contact information on the website and NOTHING has come of this. I am going to lose my mind if I don't get this package soon. Absolutely do not recommend, steer as far away from dhl as physically possible if you want any chance of getting your package.

Answer: Difficult. Automated system. Rip off phone charges. Cost so far to track our parcel, possibly missing has been around £25 in phone charges. Still trying. They wont phone you back and yet it is their error.
