A Clash of Cultures and Values
I have read a fair number of reviews about DHgate. Many of them have a similar theme--folks start out buying small items and then move on to a bigger item where things go bad. My experience with DHgate was exactly that. When it really matters, DHgate is not supportive or responsive. It is not a part of their corporate culture to deal with anything negative they just ignore it, and that includes your emails and messages.
If this Chinese company wants to do business with the rest of the world, they need to integrate honesty and integrity into their corporate culture. Until that happens, I would stay away from DHgate or plan on being disappointed.
A lot of nice stuff at reasonable prices. My reaction is favorable except for clothes with a S M L XL XXL scale which appear to use an kids scale (or asian scale) and are three sizes too small. A few items have not been received in over a month so you do take chances. Shoes are the exception to the sizing issue as they have specific sizes. Most products come in original boxes with tags. I've bought a number of items and only one was bad. Love what I bought except for clothes.
I have not bought anything from dhgate but I am obviously looking up reviews to see there relevance. 1 thing I notices is almost all 5 star comments have no personal profile picture of a customer all are of an object a flower and such, second if your absolutely satisfied with the transaction why isn't there a detailed description only 2 words don't count? It doesn't make sense. Just like there is a detailed description with service when your not satisfied then there is just as long or longer with someone who is. Very suspicious if you ask me.
Please don't order from these people. I order my package over 3 weeks ago and still haven't got an update on my package. It says it's still awaiting shipping from usps. Fake tracking number and all. I deleted the app out my phone. Worse people ever! I wish I could star them a zero!
I emailed this company 5 days ago some puma Ferrari shoes I want to buy (2 pair). The description they had written didn't match the picture or the product that I had previously bought from a store. A something felt a bit fishy about this deal. Anyhow I'm sill waiting on answer from them. So disappointing. I was willing to give DHGate a try as I really wanted these shoes. But if they cant answer an email, how can I be confident the product will even turn up on my doorstep. Anyone had similar experiences

I have been on dhgate for over a year and I am very satisfied with my experience. The sellers are great for the most part, but DHGate always make sure that you are happy as a customer. The coupons and discounts are insane. Everyone should check it out you will not be sorry.
My experience with DHGate has been exceptional! I had never ordered from another country before so It was scary and I really didn't know what to expect. Everything went very well. Previous experiences went well. Last 2 were terrible, I am still upset over them. Your resolution center is a joke. I was sent wrong items seller even admitted so and your rep saw that. Then you stated I did not provide photos. I Did provide photos 4 times and three times were with help of your customer service reps. So your solution was to give me less than half my money back for a product I did not need, which I could purchase for even less. You should have had seller send out correct items and then issued pick up of wrong ones. That is why I have not used Dhgate since. I also share and deter others from using it just by telling the truth of what you did to me.

Received 1 battery that don't work. I tried to contact seller they want me to send battery back. Shipping back cost more than battery is worth.
I would even be happy to get $6.00 credit that's what I priced one over here for before shipping. Tried to do after sales dispute. Cannot get nothing to work right sending evidence etc. to work. What's the point of ordering through DHGATE to save money if you get defective item, and can't get it resolved easy. Its set up for the seller not the buyer. Don't know if I will use Dhgate again I'm very upset!
Hello there, do not buy from this website. I bought 10 64 megabyte SD cards from them and they sent me all fake ones that didn't work. Most of the stuff on there are all fake anyway so buyer beware. Emailed them to get a refund but no response and item was no longer for sale. That website should be shut down. Please don't waste your money on this website. Have a good day!
Serious site that harbours a great variety of items. The sellers are often fast to communicate and handle your questions. Payment is easy and reliable and I have under my five-six years as customer few complaints other than the usual delays around the Chinese New Year that stops almost everything once a year. As European I have had to figure out the differences in Asian sizes but with that done I now usually get it right. /Peter
I've been very satisfied with every purchase from DHgate.com. Handbags and wallets that are priced a little higher seems to be better quality. Belts are very pretty and well made. The shoes are so cute! Can't beat the price. I have received every order that I have placed within usually a couple weeks.

I am still new on DHgate compare to other shopping sites I purchased items from. Yet I have managed to get over 274+ USD items, successful deliveries. Within 5-25 days average delivery time. That's very fast if you are in Maldives.
Bought a pant suit in March. It was so far from the size I ordered, that I needed to return it. Two months later, I am still playing games with their inadequate customer service. As said before in these reviews, if you have a problem with your order, say goodbye and forget it. No one would respond to my concerns. When I did a live chat, the rep was rude and unprofessional. They may have a nice selection, but without customer service, it's not worth it. Such a frustrating process.

Great site to purchase items that would normally cost you 2 or 3 times more elsewhere. Shipping may take a while but it's free for the most part so hard to complain.
Haven't had any issues that involved customer service, but I like the shipping updates I get from the site letting me know where my product is while in transit.
Ordered from dhgate 3 times. Needless to say, they do not sell genuine goods: only Chinese imitations. However, you can buy goods in bulk (50-100 items) and save a lot. Not the most verified site to order from, but hasn't let me down yet. Probably depends on the seller and the type of good.
I highly recommend online shopping using DHgate as a customer you can find high quality goods such as electronics, clothing, household items and more for a low to reasonably low prices. Sometimes DHgate does not have the fastest shipping compared to other online stores, however this seems to depend on the shipper and in some case the wait is no longer than two weeks for a delivery. If a customer ever experiences difficulties with a seller; no communication or did not receive the item on time DHgate has excellent customer service online, even live to help resolve issue with immediacy.
Processes and procedures (refunds, disputes, how to send an item back) are not clearly spelled out for the customers. It's frustrating trying to go through any other process aside from purchasing and the dispute team leaves you unclear on where they are in their process after a dispute is submitted.
If you would rather spend less money and wait a little longer to receive your items, dhgate is perfect. The sorting and searching features could be better, but dh had helped me start a business with low prices and bulk ordering. Also the escrow system is sweet. I wish I got better coupons, though.
Shopping on DHGate for the first time was an over all great experience. Items are nearly organized in a list format, making it easier to read and compare prices etc. When I found a product, the seller was pleasant to deal with. Offered an unbeatable price and top notch service. Only negative thing I have to say is the shipping was slow, which was, in my opinion, partly due to the fact of it being the Christmas season and the postal services are starting to get busier.
All in all, simple easy and awesome first time using and ordering from this site/app. Will definitely be ordering again soon.
Answer: Yes. Even when they send you the wrong product, dhgate finds for the seller, not the buy. Stuff sent isn't what is advertised. So many unhappy customers, that's why I posted my review. Will never buy from them again. Ever

Answer: Not reliable. They have a horrible track record, for every one good review there's atleast ten or eleven of bad ones. Trust that the odds are against you in having a good experience and buy elsewhere, I promise you will regret doing business with them.

Answer: Do not trust DHGate. It is a scam organization. They sent me the wrong merchandise. I had to send them "proof", and then I would have had to pay for the return postage. At that point I called it quits, and will never deal with these guys again.
