Im surprised people have such a difficult time with this site. I buy my Juice Beauty, and 100% pure products on this site when they have their 30% off sales, and have never had a problem. Ive ordered 5 times in the past 2 years-ish. They always arrived within 3-4 days of purchase. No expired products etc. Organic products are way too expensive and this is the only place i have found that sells them with better discounts.
Dermstore charged my credit card $40.64 in September. There is no order number and they won't acknowledge their error. They have yet to resolve this after many attempts. They promise to help but never follow through. They ask for the same information over and over. I loved their products, especially Beauty Fix boxes but will not order from them again.
I tried to make a purchase on the DermStore site using a $25 Visa gift card and putting the rest on my credit card. Apparently, the site has zero way of entering more than one payment method. I was only buying the items because I could cover most of them with the gift card, so now I'm just not able to buy the items. In this day and age of technology, this seems like a pathetically low quality site. Contacted customer service and they basically told me "nope - sorry, go somewhere else." They definitely lost my business.
DermStore is a great online presence. It carries many products you can't find elsewhere. The service is quick and with each order you receive a free gift. Their promotions are very good, as well. Check out this site for yourself. You will become a fan as I have.
Purchased a 500.00 facial massager. Returned it immediately unopened bc i found it cheaper elsewhere and had to send dozens of emails over a month to get my money back. No reason, they just don't want to refund you.
Paid for 2-day shipping. It got shipped to an entirely different state. Billing and shipping were the same! Not sure how that happens. Called and they sounded annoyed to have to deal with it. Refunded me my order but not the shipping cost. The refund will process in 2-4 weeks. I'm sorry what!? So I just tied up my money with dermstore for absolutely nothing. It's 2019... Figure it out!
I'm a longtime customer of Dermstore and noticed on their website that if you are a new customer and/or visit the site for the first time you get better promo codes than longtime customers.
I kept ordering from them because they used to have free express (2-day) shipping and I could get products quickly without paying anything for shipping. Well, they quietly changed their shipping and now it's been several days since placing my last order and it's not even on its way yet. Will be looking for a new online site for skincare products.
DermStore is a scam. I've had so many issues. They sent used product. They put duplicate charges on my credit card. Dermstore.com charge me multiple times and tried to blame it on me. The customers service is horrible. They will hang up the phone after you've waited 5 minutes just to speak with someone. I will never order from Dermstore again I'm done for good. I had to open a fraud case with my bank
Everything in the ordering process has been fine until this summer. Now all of a sudden the tax calculator in the checkout process is charging WAY too much. The sales tax rate in my unincorporated rural area is 3.91% (no kidding!). I only noticed on the order I was making today that the tax calculator during checkout wanted to charge me $17.52, or 9% on a $188 item! I looked at a prior order this summer and realized I was overcharged then, as well. So I went straight to the Obagi website, created an account and ordered the item I wanted there. At the correct tax rate, rewards points accrued and free shipping (both latter incentives that I usually get with Dermstore).
Tax calculators run as a built-in function of the merchant's checkout service based on customer address and should not be incorrect like that. Something is broken. I've put in a question to customer service, which seems unavailable nowadays except via the "message" option. We'll see how this goes.
This is a crooked company who does not accept returns. In less than 24 hours from receiving a serum that made my face break out into a frightening rash, i have tried to return. They make you go through so many hoops and give you such a hard time -it's impossible to make a return. They are nasty, abusive and please save yourself so much aggravation and do not buy from here.
Why so many bad reviews?! Ideally I would shop local. But I recently moved and finding an office with all the products I use has been challenging, therefore I found dermstore thru the brands I use as an authentic dealer. Or what ever, before ordering i decided to read these reviews, and almost didn't order, but decided to go for it. Shipping was free, both times I ordered it got here fast and was well packaged and my products have been fresh. This is a real website, selling real products. I will order again.
I remember reading the reviews before I made my purchase which scared me to order but something made me take a chance anyway. Maybe it was the free shipping or maybe it was the amazing deal of 20% off of Anastasia products. (Keep in mind ULTA excludes Anastasia products from coupons). I ordered on Monday and it already arrived and it's only Thursday, I don't even need the products until Sunday. And the products we're perfect! That's why I felt obligated to come back and give them a positive review that they deserve. It's definitely not a good idea to base your purchase solely on reviews because the reviews are not always representative of their services. I mean think about it, people are more inclined to post a bad review from a bad experience than a good one due to spite or anger. I'm glad that I took a chance otherwise I would've missed out on such a great deal. Thank you dermstore.com! I'll definitely be back for more :)

I ordered an item for $89 and an item of much value was sent instead. Almost 2 months later I am still waiting for my refund. They asked me to return the incorrectly shipped item but did not send a prepaid label. They say the replacement was lost in the mail. This company is verging on criminal.
I'm am running circles around this order that I paid express for. Could you please tell me the address of which post office my $655 order is at. I'm very unhappy with the service I've received and I want this solved with a specific answer. I ordered the products on July 1st and it got delivered (maybe) on the 17th. I had to call dermstore, which didn't recognise the order but charged me for the products and told me to contact my bank.
Hands down the most difficult and absolutely without a doubt the worst customer experience I've ever had. Will take my business elsewhere from now on.
I just had the BEST interaction with Dermstore's customer service! But first, I want to say I was incredibly happy with the products I ordered and with the shipping times and communication. I ended up not needing one of the products (because the other worked so well!), but there was an issue in creating my return label. When I reached out to their customer service team via chat, they were so helpful and generous. I feel like Trish F., the agent I worked with, went above and beyond to solve my issue. I will definitely be buying from Dermstore again!
Dermstore was sold in December 2020. I think this may be the problem. I made a purchase in March 2022 and sent product back for refund per their websites policy. I have the tracking number and the USPS confirmation. Have been jumping through hopes since. They don't answer phone can only communicate through website portal. I have a dispute open with my credit card company regarding my refund.
I believe something has drastically changed with this website. The service used to be excellent and you could return things that didn't work out for you. Recently, I ordered a product and used it once and found that I did not care for it. They would not refund it Trying to connect with them to even ask about this was like going down a dark maze that took time and energy and they asked the same questions over and over again. There is no chat and when you try to connect via email they say do not respond to this address. After years of being a loyal customer I will never shop here again. Now that I see many many bad reviews, I wish I had found this site earlier. Stay away from this terrible website.
I spent hours selecting the products on black friday and chose products worth over $500+ but my package got lost by fedex. I wrote Dermstore that i would like to still get all the products except a few that I already bought since I was waiting for a long time for the parcel to arrive. I was told via email by their obviously outsourced representative that the items will be reordered but now at a FULL price... well that's not ok. I think I should've gotten the prices I ordered at originally and it was so unfair that my request was completely ignored and I lost the black friday discount that I was really excited about. I will never use the website again since it treats its customers with utter ignorance and doesn't care what they have to say. I will be ordering from the brands directly. Dermstore deliberately via their policies makes it difficult to return the product. You have to email an image of your allergic reaction, the lot number and the expiration date. Don't throw away your box! In addition, the email by which you communicate doesn't allow for replies. You have to log onto your account, use the online chat to check for answers or call again to see if they have an answer for you. In other words, they email you, but you can't reply.
They will not take back products that cause an allergic reaction easily such as brick and mortar stores or even their online competitors do. They examine the issue taking 5 business days and decide if they will take the product back and give a refund. I prefer better customer service than this and will not order from them again. Too many other places to shop.
AVOID! Dermstore can't keep up with their orders. It took a week for them to even "process" my order. "Processing" just meant that they notified their shipping partner Newgistics that they intend to mail my order sometime in the next few weeks. It has now been 10 days since my order was placed, and nothing has been shipped even though supposedly everything is in stock. I talked to customer service today and they confirmed that the order has not been shipped yet. However, Dermstore claims they can't cancel my order because they have already assigned it a shipping number (and they billed my credit card as well). They now say the earliest my order may arrive is a week away (after the holiday gift event when this item was needed). That assumes they manage to ship it very soon (which I doubt at this point). AVOID! I will not be purchasing from Dermstore again.
