I feel like SHAD used to be pretty on part with GIVI quality. This products, build quality for the top case left some to be desired, especially considering the price for a plastic case. The rack itself was very well built and fit very adecúate.
The website stated the shoes ran narrow. I ordered i a size up (10 I'm usually a 9) I returned the shoes they were still too narrow. Return was easy but I was lucky. I put one shoe on and it was immediately too narrow I didn't have to even out on the 2nd one. If I would have gone on a ride and scuffed then or shown any wear the return would be rejected according to the fine print. L
I bought alot of my first equipment from cycle gear. My local store always had new stock on the shelves or could order just about anything I needed. Friendly and super helpful service. Lots of know how experienced employees that are full of information!
I ordered a new windscreen for my bike, after I placed the order I realized I didn't select the light smoke option and it had automatically opted for clear. I quickly called customer service and they were able to get into my order before it shipped and correct that and a couple of days later the correct windscreen was at my doorstep.
I was having troubles with the visor staying up on a HJC helmet I had recently purchased. After a couple emails exchanges, all pleasant, Chris sent me a new visor for free. It arrived within a few days. These guys stand behind what they sale, and they work to make things right. That's why I keep using them.
I ordered the helmet on a Monday evening, and it was delivered on Wednesday. Outstanding service! The whole experience was trouble free.
Went to the Daytona store and tried on the helmet for size and overall fit. I liked it but wanted different colors so we ordered it and had it in about 4 days. The salesmen went above and beyond the call of duty! Very friendly and informative and even installed our communication system into the helmet when the helmet came in!
I have been shopping for helmets recently. With a giant cranium (7 3/4) that is long oval shaped, buying a helmet is always a challenge.
I spoke with several different employees at the nearest CycleGear store about my challenges on multiple occasions and every one of them was able to name helmets that met my criteria on the fly.
Alas, when I was prepared to purchase my Arai Signet-X, they did not have one in the store. So I ordered it online. It arrived in a couple of days, and I am nothing but pleased.
Every time I go into the Novi Michigan cycle gear, manager has been great tons of help always find what I need. Pick up in store has been spot on online has always gone smoothly. Keep up the good work.
Bought a bike battery online and had it delivered to my nearest store. Email said i would be notified when the battery was ready to be picked up. Tracking said it had been delivered but three days later knowone at store had checked package or said i could pick up.
When i called Cycle gear they just said to call the shop and that packages sent to stores didnt distinguish between new stock and customer paid items.
Either way when i went into the store they looked in back and found my battery.
How is it that each store doesn't have a daily system in place to check for customer deliveries and send out notification to customer that the package is ready for pick up. Probably still be sitting in shipping area if i hadnt followed up.
Signs of poor management.
Buying the helmet was easy, the delivery kept getting pushed back and wouldn't tell me why but I eventually found it was bc my delivery address was slightly wrong but once it was fixed it was delivered promptly.
Very easy to navigate website, I was able to find the exact face shields I was looking for for my helmet.
My local cycle gear in Cheektowaga, NY was my 2nd experience with the retail conglomerate and the staff equally upon arrival were happy to greet me into the store with a relaxed acknowledgement of my desire to browse. When needing assistance staff was responsive, knowledgeable, all around good group.

Went to my local CycleGear to order a Battery for my Harley. The rep at the store greeted me as i walked into the store. I was was helped right away, we found the Battery i wanted online and it was ordered. I opted to have it shipped to the store. Within 3 Days Battery was available for pick up.wow that was fast. I tested the Battery and it was properly charged and ready for use.
They had wrong home address had issues with delivery was left at the wrong house. Finally rcvd a call drom driver and I directed him to correct address. Shipping slip had wrong home addr but I verified it my address at the Cycke Gear Store in Person when i ordered my tires.
As the title described, everything was great! I got my order in a timely fashion and everything I ordered was there. Though, I did make a mistake in ordering the wrong size for my quad mount. They happily exchanged it for the correct size.
I have never walked in to a cycle gear and came out with anything other than great service. They are always ready to spend time with you to answer questions or show how something works or even install a couple of com units.
Good experience as always with cycle gear. Battery was a fair price in comparison to others. Went right in with a good fit. When you read motorcycle cycle batteries only last 4 yrs, this is true. Almost right to the date.
Dropped by the Cycle Gear store in San Jose. Was in town only for a few days so needed a quick buy guide. Drew helped me out with almost everything from the shelf. He was patient and helpful. I had a few options in mind (Corsair x - Nakagami 4) but they were not in stock yet. Drew brought out a Nakagami 3 that was in stock and I took the plunge immediately. He had to talk to the Tech team several times as I was using an international card that had some trouble. Kudos to the entire team for helping me close the deal.
I have been a customer of Cycle Gear both online and in store for about 8 years now and for some reason the email/password combination I have been using no longer works.
Could not find some motorcycle parts I was looking for that were available elsewhere
I've been to the Woodbury, MN storea couple times and the staff there is awesome. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful from picking a battery charger to helping my wife out with fitment of a new helmet. Definitely worth a 2 hour drive for me to go there.
Hot wired 12 volt gloves. Gloves arrived fast and product was as described. One glove was great and fit was cumfy, the other one feels like there is a seam of the liner running right on top of my middle finger knuckle. I am trying to see if I can stretch it out to give some room or see if the glove will break in a little bit. Other than that all is good! Great experience shopping with Cycle Gear.
I don't have much experience ordering from cycle gear but the tools I ordered came in a timely fashion and seem to be better quality than I expected for the price. I intent to use cycle gear for equipment and accessories as needed.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
