I've been to the Woodbury, MN storea couple times and the staff there is awesome. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful from picking a battery charger to helping my wife out with fitment of a new helmet. Definitely worth a 2 hour drive for me to go there.
Hot wired 12 volt gloves. Gloves arrived fast and product was as described. One glove was great and fit was cumfy, the other one feels like there is a seam of the liner running right on top of my middle finger knuckle. I am trying to see if I can stretch it out to give some room or see if the glove will break in a little bit. Other than that all is good! Great experience shopping with Cycle Gear.
I don't have much experience ordering from cycle gear but the tools I ordered came in a timely fashion and seem to be better quality than I expected for the price. I intent to use cycle gear for equipment and accessories as needed.
I was buying my first helmet and went into the Thornton CO store to try some on and figure out my size. I just so happened to get help from a manager (a manager who was actually out on the floor and helping customers which was nice to see). He was a tremendous help narrowing down my search, educating me, and we figured out that I'm a small in Sedici but an XS in Shoei. I went online to see if I could find something on sale and I stumbled upon the discontinued Shoei Neotec 2 helmet with an open-box discount (48%) that happened to be in my size. It has a few cosmetic scratches that were disclosed by Cycle Gear with pictures (thank you), but it fits and it's functionally perfect. Check out was smooth and it arrived within the week. Inside the store and online has been a great experience. A week later, I brought my bf who has never been in a Cycle Gear store to shop and he also had a positive experience. The manager recognized me from previous shopping and said hello :)
I ordered a sena bluetooth device, I picked it from the store and they offered me to install it, it was fast very clean instalation and the person that performed the instalation was very professional and knowledgeable.
I thought i bought the monoke adapter plate for the box to sit on the bike. I actually bought the mounting kit for the monoke plate for the box. There is one small "please note" at the bottom of the page saying I also need to order the monoke plate. The adapter kit shows mostly the monoke adapter plate and 1 little sliver of the mounting kit under it. First time purchasing a givi top box, so it was shocking to order what i thought was the monoke plate and received the mounting kit. Then had to pony up more money for the monoke plate. Oh well. It all worked out gradually. Maybe a picture of the actual adapter kit instead of just the plate for idiots like me.
Well I ordered 3 items from 3 different online stores, cycle gear was great kept me in the loop with emails and with shipping. One online store only sent me part of my order and has not responded to any of my emails which I sent 3 to them to get the rest of my order. I will not shop at this other company.
All said and done shop at CYCLE GEAR good prices at least you're informed of your parts along the way.
Tim helped me find just what I was looking for in a helmet and riding jeans. Tim helped to order from Cycle Gear online and my items arrived at the store in a matter of days. Staff took care of moving my Cardo from the old helmet to the new and I was good to go!
The item I wanted wasn't in stock so I was offered the opportunity to order it and have it delivered to my home or the store. I chose the store and the order was completed quickly and efficiently. The sales person asked if there was anything else I needed or wanted but didn't push me to purchase anything else which I appreciated a lot!
I'll be back for another purchase I'm sure!
Everyone at Cycle gear in Raleigh are always helpful and knowledgeable of all the products that they carry. It is a pleasure going into the store and leaving knowing that you have been taken care of! Thanks to Tyler and Hunter!

Visited local CG to buy riding jacket. They almost have too many to choose from. Staff was helpful, but for the most part I feel like picking out a jacket is a personal project that takes time. After finding the jacket I wanted, I couldn't find it in XL. Employee helped look and then looked into computer system to confirm it wasn't in store. I bought it in store and it was shipped to me I believe 5 days later. Shipping was free and I believe it would've arrived sooner if it hadn't been for weekend. Sizes seem accurate.
I was taking my last class of rider coach school and I needed some new boots. I went to the Greensboro location on a Monday and received phenomenal customer service. I paid for the boots to be 2 day shipping, arriving Thursday or Friday, well before my weekend class. The shipping company tracking said a Monday delivery. I emailed customer service and within 24 hours an apology and refund for the shipping was given. I was very satisfied with the response, but the star review is because of the delay.
Ordered pants, and had a good experience at Cycle Gear per usual. The pants don't fit the way I was hoping, so I'm going to return them. I have a Cycle Gear store near me, which makes returns very convenient.
I chose a Street & Steel mission moto riding flannel shirt. I tried on merchandise in store, actually found my size!
I ended up ordering online, with hopes of more color options. Will definitely be going back into store.
Time to replace my old modular helmet and found the Sedici Sistema 3 on the Cycle Gear website. Good write up and looked like a quality hemet so I ordered one. Price was good and delivery was fast. The Sistema 3 is clearly a high quality helmet. It's listed as an intermediate oval fit, which is typical for most helmets, but I require a fit that is closer to a full oval. This helmet fits better than most helmets I've owned so I believe that it leans towards a full oval, which is better for people like me...a nice surprise.
The cyclegear at redwood city confirmed that they do tire install before ordering. I take a day off and drive there to get tire installed and they say that their machines are not compatible with my motorcycle tires. I have done the install at the same location last time I had to do the tire change. I understand that they don't want to perform tire installs and they can make better profits by selling products. They seriously lacked professionalism and treated me bad by throwing technical jargons like "Wheel does not clamp properly". You did the tire change last time and technical person who did the tire change was super nice. If this feedback reaches management it would be great if you can evaluate if the machine is indeed not compatible with my motorcycle wheel size and take appropriate action. Don't treat customers like trash in the store.
We were greeted when we walked in. My boyfriend knew his away around what we were looking for, but the employees made sure we got what we were looking for (BC it was not in store). Even gave us a demo from their personal helmet.
I purchased two of these tires. The first one I put on is so far out of round I can't even believe it. It takes so much time and effort to do the change these tires. Basically, I think these are not top quality tires! I would not order again!
The guys a Cycle Gear were great! Just wished that they had the helmet in stock to try on. I am really not a fan of buying something you can't try on. I did try a different Shoei and they said it would fit the same and it did. Love the new J Cruise! Thank you Allentown Cycle Gear!
Everything was fantastic in the store. I ordered a helmet and it was supposed to be delivered to my home, but there was a mistake made and the helmet was delivered to the store which is not close to my home.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
