This is my second purchase from Currys in 2 years and my second experience of a breakdown and the worst customer service. They just don't care!
Both products were still in warranty.
Please I urge you don't support a company who doesn't care about its consumers. Go to you independent local business who put you first.
They are untrained and unprofessional you need to trained them before stand on counter. When i came on to pickup my sim they attended very unprofessional way i showed them my pickup email (27/05/23)then they said they mistakenly send to you if we have we will call you but i can`t receive any call from them then i went to store on Tuesday and i asked for my sim then i met with another guy then he said your sim was in store on 27/05/23.i didn`t say any thing i went home i put the sim in and it was not working i came back next day and asked from another guy who was on desk he said oh its not activated then he said when you pickup no body activated this sim for you i said they just gave me a sim. At that point i was very upset and disappointed so i changed my mind to cancel my contract. I realised i stuck in unprofessional people. Even on that time he should generate my puk code before cancel my contract he but don`t care and cancel and when i asked for my puk code he said come tomorrow (Saturday) my boss will be sort out for you so when i came on next day he gave me a very simple reply we can`t do noting you can go to voda phone shop.so straightaway i went to voda phone shop and speak to them then he said to me your contract issue from currys so you can speak to them and how they cancel your contract with out puk code.so i came back and told them the voda phone message but they don`t regret they said you should know about this so we can`t do noting. Just because of your untrained non professional people i lost my number. Before this happened again with some 1 please improve your service. I send my query to customer service as well but unfortunately its a part of same company as well so they don`t care about there customers. Even they don`t send any email for apologise.( Currys Unit D2, Silverlink Retail Park, Coast Rd, Wallsend NE28 9ND)
Absolutely disgusting treatment, bought an oven which we said needed to be able to convert to lpg,the man in Currys said the oven we wanted came with the conversion kit, when it arrived there was no kit,so went to the shop, they said it doesn't come with kit and told us to go to b&q to get one, went to b&q they said they have never sold conversion kit as they are different for different ovens, Currys lied to get a safe,
Horrendous experience - delivery times incorrect on website, misadvised TWICE by customer service, on the third time the person told me my parcel would never have arrived in that timescale, thereby confirming that EVERYTHING I'd been told up to that point was incorrect. I've informed them several times that I won't be able to receive the parcel but they REFUSED to cancel the order and redirect the parcel back to themselves, which is something they can do as other companies have done this for me before. The parcel has now been left on the door step - and it's an item worth £750. There is no one to take the item in so it's likely to get stolen, even though I've informed Currys SEVERAL times that no one can receive the parcel. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I was promised a manager call back and never received one. NO ONE wants to help you, misinformation and lies. PLEASE DON'T ORDER FROM CURRYS. This is my first time using them and I won't ever be coming back
I ordered a small fridge and a chest freezer from Currys. The delivery team was great. Unfortunately, the chest freezer was faulty. The display temperature didn't adjust the temperature. I submitted an exchange form online. I never heard back. A week later, I submitted another one. I received a generic email saying they needed more info. I called the curry's team, but I was transfered to the Montpellier team. I asked them to help and they said I need to talk to Currys. Yesterday, I online chated twice with Currys and both times, the team didn't help. They said I need approval from Montpellier to do an exchange first. So I called Montpellier again and they told me again, they don't give uplift codes to approve an exchange. Again they directed me to Currys. I chatted online again and asked to speak to a supervisor. He also didn't help. 10 days in and several attempts to simply exchange a faulty product and Currys failed to help. I will never buy from them again. I have a broken thermostat and they failed to acknowledge any problems.
Wish me luck. I am going to return my 55'' Hisense TV today and ask for a full refund. I've had it one day. Illl let you all know later how I went on. It's just not working properly. My husband usually tunes our Tvs in and he did all this but the TV was faulty. One day, hopefully going in store to return it and ask for a full refund, no offers of repair or replacement, My rights to have a full refund... Now then When will the refund come back in my bank account? We shall see. I will never shop there again as they let me down before whilst waiting for 7 weeks for a refund.
Buyer beware:
Never, never buy anything from Currys in store unless you are sure it is perfect for your needs.
I bought a television this morning and unpacked it, fixed the feet on it and because the feet are towards the outside of the screen it won't stand on my television cabinet.
I called Currys to ask if I could exchange it for one with a centre stand.
They said NO!
It's your problem.
But they would be happy to sell me an alternative if that would be helpful.
Despite being a long time customer, I will never buy from Currys again.
This is the worse shop to buy at, and the customer service is the worse that I have ever encountered, if you shop at currys, you wolill be getting ripped off, the appliances are so dangerous, I was taking a cold water container out if a fridge, when it cam out so fast it nearly took my eye out.
Seriously dangerous, and customer services are useless, they really are, do yourself all a favour please shop elsewhere
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE THIEVES!
JUST TRIED TO BUY A MACBOOK AS GOING AWAY FRIDAY AM, AND NEED TO WORK WHISLT I AM AWAY. COMPLETED CHECKOUT, PAID (THEY HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY £2755!) THEY GET A MESSAGE SAYING ITS OUT OF STOCK BUT THEY HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY AND NOW EMPTIED MY ACCOUNT SO i CANNOT BUY FROM ELSEWHERE! BUNCH OF THIEVES! SAYING I WILL NOT GET MY MONEY BACK FOR 48 HOURS TOO LATE A GET FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE!
The worst customer service I've ever experienced, they cancelled my delivery on the morning it was due but never sent me a email or txt, when I called customer service the could not give me an answer and told me to go back to the store, At the store the manager was rude and told me he couldn't help and to call customer service, After three hours of frustration I finally got a answer to why and when my delivery was cancelled, All the staff in the Tottenham Court Road store were being sarcastic and not willing to help.Never going to order anything fro. Currys again.
Finally got my refund for an item that wasnt even delivered to me, have waited 9 weeks for this refund and currys have been no help at all, cant reply to emails, non existing address for head office. Will never shop there again, quick enough to take your money but cant admit to mistakes or say sorry
Ordered fridge/freezer for delivery, installation and recycle. Ordering process was easy and was due to be installed yesterday 26/3, online tracker showed being installed between 3 and 9pm. At 4pm said it was the 9 of 9 installation and in progress, at 5pm it came up as due for delivery 7/4. No email or calls to explain, had to call customer service and after being on hold for ages was told they didnt know why or what is happening and was told to call back at 7pm. I said I wanted them to call me, they said they would "try". I also asked to speak to a manager, I was told they would call me the next day between 9 and midday. 7 pm yesterday came and went with no call. This morning has come and gone with no call from the manager either. Still none-the-wiser. Cancelling orders as this is a diabolical service.
Trying to cancel online, I spent ages filling in a form, despite selecting "didn't receive" it forced me to select how I will return. So had to give up and call them again! Grrr
Order number CUR *******508
I've spent five hours this morning trying to return another piece of JVC rubbish to Curry's and guess what no one wants it.
Doesn't really surprise me though, they don't want the crap either.
Tech and contacts social centres are useless and unwilling to help anyone.
This review concerns my experience of using Currys "LIVE SHOP"... a process that almost makes one lose the will to live!
I decided to buy an expensive new laptop and having decided upon the precise make and model found that only Currys had current stock.
So I went onto their website to try and find the telephone number of my local branch to ring with queries before ordering. The website only gives you a national telesales number.
I rang said national telesales number...only to be met with an auto announcement that you cannot buy any products on the telesales number.
All auto options on the national telesales number just send you round the houses and direct you to their website as clearly the people at Currys don't like talking to their customers.
This is then followed by an assumed breach of data rights in using your telephone number to text you some link to "Live Shop" without doing a mandatory check on whether the customer is agreeable to their data being used in this manner.
So I typed the link address sent by text into my laptop, only to have a pop up box stating "this is unavailable"! How ridiculous!
Unable to access via laptop I clicked the link via my mobile phone and got through to a male based somewhere near Essex - he was quite helpful and knowledgeable and I placed an order.
You are then sent an e mail link to pay. I duly used the link to enter my card details and like all good card providers they send a code to your phone to confirm and verify the payment.
My phone duly pinged and as per normal on mobile phones I minimised the 'Live Shop' screen to access text messages and view the code as is normal when using mobile phone apps...minimising the Live Shop screen immediately cut me off.
The same thing happened SIX more times, until one of their operatives spent significant time getting me to try numerous different routes to access 'Live Shop' on my laptop. Eventually it gave access.
So that operative processed my order for the SEVENTH time and we get all the way to entering the payment verification code...at which a pop up appeared with the words "Ooops something went wrong".
Seriously Currys - your system is beyond imbecilic and you need to sort it out into a workable system, preferable before my prediction of "Currys - coming to a bankruptcy court near you soon" becomes reality!
I feel sorry for the staff of Currys who have to work with a system that is clearly not fit for purpose and has been designed and operated by imbeciles
FRAUDERS
I ordered goods online for the amount of 450 pounds
They took money from me online for the order
I don't have an order number or a product I can't get
I can prove that they took money from me for the purchase and did not provide the goods
I contacted the support chat - it didn't lead to anything, they can't do anything, they give only another phone number and close the chat!
I'll have to go to the police
Non existent customer service. Faulty cooker delivered and due to some very tight time constraints, (long story)I went and brought a replacement so that my electrician could wire it in and get us going straight away. I thought, no problem I'll sort the return & refund tomorrow. Several places on their website & their T&C's said I could return to a store. As I had literally nowhere to store this item while awaiting a lengthy collection process, I put in in the car and took it to my local store. The manager was really unhelpful said I couldn't return to store. So I left it with them anyway as I couldn't take it back. Then the lengthy saga of trying to contact customer service to explain where it was and for it to be uplifted. Their email address is no longer in service. The phone service after a lengthy wait said they couldn't help, neither could the online chat service. No one there will give you an email address to put your complaint in writing. They were happy to take my money and all is probably OK if you don't run into any problems.
So the faulty cooker is now in your Stratford upon Avon store awaiting Currys to process my refund, which I've been told I won't get. So all I have left is a letter before action followed by a Small Claims through the court system. I have used Currys many, many times before and never have has such poor service.
Technicians do not turn up or call, helpline lies and local store in Pontypridd where I spent thousands on a large TV and Soundbar do not care. They take your money and waste your time. Useless. Never again
I purchased an Xbox and an additional controller on Currys website on Black Friday, happy that I could get a good deal. It was supposed to be my son's Christmas present. I received confirmation of the order and an order number. A few days later, when I didn't receive any information regarding delivery time, etc. I contacted them. The guy on the online chat said that the order had been cancelled for some unknown reason, possibly having no stock available. I visited their branch in York; the customer service lady could not find my order on the system. She rang their central customer service office, and after a while, she accepted their solution of a refund, without even checking with me! I didn't want a refund, I wanted my item. She said there was no other alternative and that the refund will be processed in 3-5 business days, indicating that it will most probably take more than 5 business days. She also said that I could complain to their customer service, but she was certain I would get nowhere with my complaint.
A refund means that I will have to pay £80 extra to buy the same items elsewhere. This is not the end of the story; nearly a month has passed and I have not even received my refund! This ruined our son's Christmas and made me so furious and upset. Currys is a horrible company. I'm addressing Currys: If you don't have stock, why do you take people's money and hold onto it? Is this anything other than charlatanry and fraud? Do you think it's fair to suck up people's little money in the current economic climate with these horrible methods?
PLEASE AVOID CURRYS! Even if you see a good deal, don't trust them and be deceived. I haven't got my money back yet and they don't give a damn about it.
So poor. Ordered 2 items, only 1 arrived. Customer service was not very helpful. Had a number of "webchats" which did not resolve anything. One "webchat", the agent just ended it without allowing me to respond. Hand on heart, will not be a returning customer again. Very disappointing.
Answer: They are thieves and take your money and time. Vampires
Answer: They have an automatic sorting process in place that takes several minutes to get through, you then get put on hold. Sometimes kicking you out before call is answered and you have to go through selection again. No direct numbers advertised to get you straight to right department, but they do exist. Ask for them once through to an adviser. It will save you lots of time when you need to chase them again. Music on 'hold' is distorted to annoy and frustrate you - close to mental torture! Advisors are following 'scripts' and are not 'able'/allowed to think for themselves. Be prepared to be put on hold and then kicked off the line. They told me they would order a replacement item 3x it never came. So were blatantly lying to me/stalling meanwhile processing refund. Once refunded they are 'unable' to help you with anything. Or is it unwilling? The whole process seems to be set up to deter you from continuing with your complaint. An issue that should have taken max 10 minutes to sort took 5-6hrs and it was sorted to their satisfaction not mine.
