Currys are the single worst company I have ever dealt with for customer service, I have an £860 voucher to purchase 2 Apple Watches, I ordered them to the Blackburn store to collect on Monday, I waited for my collection email but never got it, after 4 days I checked my curry's account to be told the items had been cancelled due to no stock, no refund to my gift voucher, the items are still available online so clearly they are letting people order items they don't have every single day, I have since contacted the customer service team as if, to be promised a refund urgently, no one has ever come back to me, I then made an official complaint on Friday and was again promised a message back but yet again no contact and no refund. This has now been going on for three weeks and absolutely none of this is my fault, I will never ever be buying anything from them ever again and they still owe me a refund of £858, they are a joke and I would advise people not to trust a word they say, I have now been promised by 10 separate curry's staff that they would fix this problem and I still in exactly the same position as I was a month ago
Currys can start with their customers services. Phoned in to see where my parcel is and got told the laptop I order doesn't get made anymore after a week. Phoned again to change my order and got told my order got cancelled even tho I didn't ask to cancel it. After few days phoned back to see why I didn't receive any emails or texts that my order got cancelled and got told that my order was never cancelled absolutely horrible experience I had with currys. After all that I got told I need to wait until they open an investigation. So basically it's been 3 weeks, no refunds or calls or anything from them. What a joke this company is. Don't buy anything from them you are better off using Argos. Amazon or any other shop. Nothing is worse then their customer service. They are lying, breaching GDPR by giving you personal numbers. Manager never call you back. They cancel your order without permission and don't give you money back. Also after sharing my story with my friends, I have found out that they had a similar experience in the past. One of them where waiting 2months for a replacement of a brand new fridge that was faulty when delivered.
I wish I could give Currys a lower rating than one star because they've truly earned it. My recent encounter with this company has been nothing short of a customer service horror story. If you're looking for a company that values your time, respects your requests, and employs qualified professionals, look elsewhere – because you won't find it here.
First of all, we had informed the store multiple times that we needed a qualified electrician to install an integral washing machine. Despite our efforts to make this clear, the individual they sent on the initial delivery date (16/10/2023) was far from qualified to handle the job. He had no idea what he was doing and made promises he couldn't keep.
He told us that we would have the installation completed by the next day, but that turned out to be a lie. Instead, we received a text later in the evening saying that the delivery was rescheduled for Wednesday between 08:00 and 14:00. We adjusted our plans, rearranged our schedules, and waited patiently, only to be met with empty promises yet again.
Wednesday came and went, and there was no sign of Currys or their elusive "qualified professionals." Fed up, I decided to call customer service, hoping for some clarity and resolution. To my dismay, I was met with unhelpful, robotic responses from representatives who seemed more interested in reading from their scripts than genuinely assisting a customer in need. To add insult to injury, they informed me that there was no one available to perform the installation and, you guessed it, rescheduled it again.
The final straw was the text message that arrived in the evening, proclaiming, "Great news! Your delivery will be with you on the 27th." I had already informed them of our unavailability during certain dates, but they clearly couldn't care less about their customers' needs.
In conclusion, if you want to save yourself from unnecessary stress, frustration, and wasted time, I strongly recommend avoiding Currys at all costs. Their incompetence, poor communication, and disregard for their customers' schedules are astounding. My experience with them has been an absolute nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Shop elsewhere and spare yourself this ordeal.
NEVER buy in store as once you open the box unless there is a fault they will not refund if not suitable or mis sold If you get it delivered you have 30 days to return it for what ever reason,Have a look in store then order as a delivery
Cancelled our replacement washing machine - after two failed deliveries and repeated promises. AVOID.
Recently took out a new phone contract (samsung s23 ultra) with the new deal on the website the phone was meant to come with a free gift of galaxy earbuds. The phone arrived when expected but the package was missing the earbuds, I called in relation to this and a very appologetic advisor said she can see they were meant to be added and will arrange for someone to call to arrange delivery of them.
A week passes and I hear nothing so call again, this time a male advisor says the same thing and appologised again.
Another week passes and i hear nothing so call again, this time to also complain that noone has bothered to call me, I then get told actually head office have looked into it and even though 2 previous advisors said they could see they were with my order and i should have been sent them and were in my basket when i paid, that in fact I'm not entitled to them and they wont be being sent.
I asked to speak to a manager, none where available so he said that he would get a manager to call me.
Low and behold another week passes and nothing, but which time im outside of the cooling off period for the phone and contract and down on earbuds (£219) so i call again, only to be told no manager available again but get to speak to a supervisor, who was appologetic (rightly) and offered the first month of the contract refunded (£43) not quite the earbuds I was entitled to, and now locked in a contract because they dont get back to customers or fullfil their deals.Absolute con

Asked for a new Kindle,was advised and sold a fire HD8 which bis an ipad with a Kindle app. We did not know any better at the time,so on holiday on kindle cannot read the screen in sunlight. On returning it when back and within the 30 days,was told as it had been opened there was nothing they could do.We are currently in the market for white goods, a vacumn, and tele but will shop elsewhere, wished i had read reviews first.T.J.STEADMAN

Hi we attended curry's in Shrewsbury uk and ordered a new fridge due to the holiday home fridge breaking down, paid in full and arranged with curry's for a delivery date and collect the old one (paid again), once curry's told us what date the delivery would be we awaited the delivery time which arrived later by email, all good whilst taking well over £400 from us, we arranged to be at the holiday for the week with the delivery being on 5th September 2023 their date and told us between 09:15 and 13:15 hrs again curry's choice, did they turn up NO! Did they contact us prior to say they wouldn't turn up NO! After waiting all day a rude driver contacted us and said won't be coming! When questioned he stated he was just the delivery driver, my reply was you're not really a delivery driver if you don't deliver to which he hung up! Curry's in their wisdom rescheduled for the following week when nobody would be there great!, the only contact you can get is a call centre in South Africa who can't help or won't and advised us to return to Shrewsbury store (64 mile round trip) after several calls to South Africa and realising you can't contact the store we drove the distance only to be told sorry it not curry's fault it's the delivery people and the driver Robert, refused to help! Again and refused to contact the delivery depot, curry's and delivery depot totally to blame and blamed each other but still no help to us, totally unacceptable, there is no direct contact numbers and nobody to complain to, as much as we have tried nobody as contacted us, I will never use curry's again and I will do my best to warn people that curry's are a disgrace and will happily take your money but treat you like a number with no say, ps I have never complained about anything in my life until now, curry's customer you have been warned!
We bought Haier Washing machine with extended care for extra Four years. It suddenly stop not working so on Sunday (6th August 2023) I called curry's care plan "KNOWHOW" on *******234 it took 49 minutes to answer the call. I talked to Uhar and he promised me someone will come on 10th of August 2023. I explained to him I will Not take work on that day so please assure someone is coming. As I am a locum I will loose over £150 for that day. He said yes someone will be there. I also got a SMS message on my mobile with booking reference. On Tuesday I got SMS on my mobile saying it was cancelled and booked for Friday the 11th 2023.
I tried to called above number at 14.28 and waited for 70 minutes and no one answer the phone so I cancelled the call. I tried again at 17.59 and someone answer the call after 50 minutes but without saying a word cut me off. Did NOT talk to me. At 18.50 I called again and someone answer the call after 42 minutes. Customer service staff called Syle or Fyle, she didn't clearly say her name properly. I explained to her by cancelling the engineer I lost over £150 and taking Friday off I will loose another £150. I asked her if engineer will definitely come, she said not 100 percent. So taking that day off and if the Engineer doesn't come I would loose another £150. She told me its not their problem and there is no compensation for that. She said waiting time on the phone is NOT guarantee, it can be anything from 45 minutes to over 120 minutes.
I am very very disappointed with the service. Letusknow email address is NO longer in use and customer service email address is NOT active anymore. Therefore we can't contact currys customer complaint department. I will NEVER recommended currys for anything
I have been loyal for 15+years but trying to get my Beville Barista Max Coffee Machine replaced under a Care Plan Policy was 100% hell.
They were getting the better of me over three weeks I phoned [*******000] over and over and went into my local store 5 times trying to get a replacement voucher with my current 3year Care Plan.
Umpteen calls and becoming more and more desperate I had no other option than to consider issuing legal proceeding against Currys. I spoke with numerous managers at Chippenham Branch but nobody could sort and resolve. The Care Plan team promised on three occasions to sort it and assured it would be sorted within 72hours, this went on and on, no call back nothing and I was being sent round in hopeless circles re-explaining myself to everyone.
I spoke to a manger at Chippenham, I explained the issue again and he just raised his shoulders and said 'if you are going legal with this then you gotta do what you gotta do'. So thanks pal, finally I spoke with the Store Manager, I was [and still am deeply upset] but he swapped the machine that afternoon so this was finally resolved thanks to him but it was a frustrated exchange.
But I am left asking why did it ever have to come to this? Why are Currys systems so broken and why do then treat us so badly? I just don't understand! It's like a black cloud over your head dealing with them and I just cant ever go through this again so bye-bye Curries for evermore. Shameful and I hate you for treating me so badly and making me upset to this level.
Libby sorted out a query we had because we had to return a desk top we had bought 2 days earlier as we have ONLY windows 7 on our old computer & desk top would not work with our old computer --but we do haVE SMART PHONE WHICH WE BOUGHT AT CURRYS ALSO A TABLET ALL BOUGHT AT THIS STORE so please do not write us off yet --- Libby was beyond helpful to my husband so we went back to see desk tops in white & this is where we found Lucas who offered to explain more about the desk top we needed --he gave me a quick lesson so as to understand what we really needed as ALL this mod tec stuff leaves me more confused than I already am (hope who reads this is smiling) --he was a STAR because I understood everything he told me (now that was truly a miracle amazing --as I am not the biggest fan of today s,world & all this mod tec stuff)--Kieron did all the paper work --he too was SO kind & cheerful so bless the 3 of them THEY are KEEPERS for this store as we left the store smiling
I've place 3 items on order, no one answers the phone, theres no email address to complain someone needs to seriously shake this company up. OVER one month for an oven - No phone update, No emails NOTHING!
I ordered an item via company voucher scheme, but had to cancel it, which was granted.
They send me a voucher back and when I tried to reimburse this via my company voucher scheme, they REFUSED this.
The information from my employer was that it is completely up to them to decide how they will issue a refund.
I do not ship with curries at all, which means I lose more than £400 in this. They said, *if you wish you can give it to a family member or a friend"!
So I LOST money to the company that is unwilling to provide the refund, as they had been already paid a full amount!
Wow! Where do I start, never in my life would I think I'd be this person to make a review like this, however not only did I call customer service the day before just to see when my delivery was due and have a women with an attitude problem like a moody teenager but I also received my item looking like this. It had obviously been dropped during delivery and I wasn't in at the time and a family member was otherwise the drivers wouldn't of left without taking it back, anyway called customer service and had the same women with the attitude again she ended up diverting the call without even saying she was going to to another member who again asked me security question and when explaining the issue still no customer service skills in place just a screen reading with no results, terrible customer service and honestly just didn't care on your situation. So now without a fridge/freezer until I order another one else where! Good one curry's!
Nothing but problems with Currys, the customer service was shocking. I bought a an XBox series X for my son for his birthday and when I went to set this up it was faulty and would not switch on. Spoke to customer services and asked if i could go into a store and get a replacement given that it was my sons birthday the next day and was advised that this was not possible due to it being an online purchase. I agreed to have replacement which I was told would be 3-5 days. After day 4 and having heard nothing from them I called and was advised the item was not in stock and they were waiting for a delivery which would be another 3-5 days! At this point having gone passed my sons birthday not being advised of the delay and having a very disappointed young boy, I asked for a refund so I could go to another store and purchase one.( at this point i had asked to speak to a manager to which i was advised they needed to book a call in) and then the lady proceeded to hang up on me! I then nearly 7 days later had a dpd messaging advising that I was receiving a replacement which then was attempted to be delivered while i was at work and taken to a pick up point. I had not asked for this as i had asked for a refund. I called customer services again,the lady put e on hold when I asked to speak to a manger again was left for 25 minutes to then find out id just been passed to another operative. After 1hr 20 minutes I finally spoke to a manger who then advised the only way I can go about getting a refund was to go and collect the item and then arrange another collection from dpd to take it back to currys, collection was booked and now dpd didnt turn up for the collection! I am now stuck in this ridiculous loop with Currys. 3 emails later with no responses! 2 requests for a managers call booked with no call backs at 6 calls customer services and an elevated call to head office with advise that id get a call within 24hr which I did not receive £500 out of pocked and I am at my absolute wits end! Never ever buying from currys again what an absolute sham of a company!
I truly wish that I could give zero stars after a n absolutely terrible experience with Curry's. I took my elderly parents to purchase a washing machine and we paid for it's installation. A leak was discovered a few months later - it had not been fitted correctly, and the machine had been emptying its water under their floorboards. Following multiple communications, Curry's arranged for it to be fixed, but requested that we pay approx. £700 including a contribution towards replacement lino that had been ruined. It took numerous more telephone calls and emails before this cost was eventually reduced to approx. £200. Thanks for the privilege of charging my elderly parents for weeks and weeks of distress that you caused. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL SERVICE I am sharing our story with everyone that I know, and intend to share this on every review site that I can find, so that others do not have to suffer the same experience. I will never set foot in one of their stores again.

Answer: They have an automatic sorting process in place that takes several minutes to get through, you then get put on hold. Sometimes kicking you out before call is answered and you have to go through selection again. No direct numbers advertised to get you straight to right department, but they do exist. Ask for them once through to an adviser. It will save you lots of time when you need to chase them again. Music on 'hold' is distorted to annoy and frustrate you - close to mental torture! Advisors are following 'scripts' and are not 'able'/allowed to think for themselves. Be prepared to be put on hold and then kicked off the line. They told me they would order a replacement item 3x it never came. So were blatantly lying to me/stalling meanwhile processing refund. Once refunded they are 'unable' to help you with anything. Or is it unwilling? The whole process seems to be set up to deter you from continuing with your complaint. An issue that should have taken max 10 minutes to sort took 5-6hrs and it was sorted to their satisfaction not mine.
