This review is pretty much like most of the others on here, but I'm annoyed enough to leave it anyway. I just got banned for absolutely no reason with no explanation. It appears to me that they want users who are too slow to actually accrue points and get rewards. I'm a fast reader but my responses were 100% honest.
I have been contributing to Crowdtap for many years! Now they deactivate my account with over 30,000 points. Telling me the following: In order for Crowdtap to remain capable of rewarding members for their honest engagement, we will always vigilantly monitor behavior on our platform. Based on the above, your account cannot be reactivated. I've reached out to support again without any response. Contributors beware and cash out before they screw you too.
Crowdtap is all the sudden not working for myself and many others, with no explanation why. I have emailed support and messaged multiple times on facebook with no response. They are closing the accounts of high earners without allowing us to cash out any money we have built up.
I used to like crowdtap for sharing my opinion and earning some bucks in return, but since they upgraded to the new website there have been many issues namely:
- so many bugs in surveys, they tell you to choose multiple options but you can only choose one, or the surveys dont proceed as some message keeps coming, too many bugs to be fixed with the IT department.
- the language and grammar has become worse than before, its so obvious! All the spelling mistakes. Phew!
- you keep answering all these open ended discussions but never get rewarded for them, it just hangs there.
- another thing i miss is seeing the total percentage of people choosing an option.
The pros are:
You can still make points and get rewarded
- the point for each question have been upgraded to 3 from 2.
There are lot of other surveys and discussions with huge number of points available.
Hope they fix the above issues faster to give a better experience to tappers.
Thanks for your feedback, Deana. We are continuing to improve the site and fix issues with surveys, grammar, and response time. Focus Group points do not get awarded to your account right away - only when the discussion closes. Our Support team (support@crowdtap.com) would be happy to confirm if you were awarded any points, and soon you'll be able to check yourself with a Point History!
Don't hesitate to email us or reach out on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram so we can help with any problems. More changes and features are coming to Crowdtap, and we'll be sure to keep you updated along the way!
I've bee n this site for over 5 years now and I don't understand why all of a sudden my account keeps getting disabled. I know sometimes my answers are short but if they a perfectly honest they would know that you can't make a answer long all the te because the questions require a yes or no answer. Plus sometimes people just can't think of anything more then that. If they really truly want honest answers then they shouldn't penalized you when you can't come up with something without either babbling or just straight out lying. I'm great at babbling but I just can lie on questions it's goes against every I stand for and what I raised my kids with. So please explain to me why all of a sudden in the last few months my account keeps getting disable.
Hi Virginia, We'd like to look into why your account was disabled and provide you with more information. Please send us a direct message via Sitejabber with your Support Request # so we can help you further. Site is good if you want to make a quick buck for doing short surveys and sampling but that is pretty much it. I see from other reviewers that Crowdtap has changed hands not sure if it is true but have noticed when I had a question and got a ticket for it my question went unanswered or ignored. I have posted question or there of on FB and they were deleted not from me. Even went as far to ask a question per FB but threw their message system but was ignored yet again. All in all if a quick buck is what you need is one thing but be prepared to be ignored, account deleted, and questions either removed from FB, or ignored altogether. I added a picture of the pop-up I kept getting before, during and after a did a survey. They could have at least sent an email saying just let it ride out and it will go away on it's own instead of ignoring my emails.
Answering every question for 11 weeks gave me a $5 gift card. About as slow as PaidViewpoint.
The surveys connect to the same routers as other survey sites: try one, get routed to five other companies, and you might finish one, hit a dead end or get a page error.
Hi Rochelle, Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry your experience with us has not been fun and gratifying, and will happily work to resolve your issue.

I would say I enjoy the app and I like how honestly it feels like your playing a game and you need to clear the board to win. Easy to earn gift cards, but they say it takes 1 or 2 days to receive gift cards, but mine takes about 3 to 4 days to get the gift cards.
Crowdtap is a platform that connects brands with consumers to gather insights and promote products through sampling and reviews. Here's a review based on common user experiences:
Pros:
1. **Engagement Opportunities**: Users can participate in various activities such as surveys, polls, and product sampling, which can be enjoyable and rewarding.
2. **Earn Rewards**: Participants can earn points or rewards for their contributions, which can be redeemed for gift cards or products, providing tangible benefits for their time.
3. **Product Testing**: Members often get the chance to try new products before they hit the market, allowing for early feedback and an exclusive look at upcoming items.
Cons:
1. **Reward Redemption Delays**: Some users report delays in receiving rewards or difficulties in redeeming points, which can be frustrating.
2. **Limited Availability**: Opportunities can be limited based on demographics or location, meaning not all users may qualify for every campaign or activity.
3. **Technical Issues**: Occasional technical glitches with the platform may affect user experience, such as survey loading issues or login problems.
Overall, Crowdtap offers an engaging way for consumers to interact with brands and earn rewards through various activities. However, like any platform, user experience may vary based on individual participation and technical factors.
We're happy to give this another try so we've reinstated your account. Please consider this a friendly reminder to be attentive while participating in Crowdtap surveys since we won't be able to reinstate your account a second time, WELL IM STILL WAITING BECAUSE IT HAS NOT BEEN REINSTATED
I've been using Crowdtap for several years now. I fill out surveys and they send me gift cards; my favorites are Uber and Burger King, but they offer lots more. I've never had any problem with them. You won't get rich but it's really nice to earn $5 or $10 here and there for surveys that are easy to fill out (and sometimes kind of interesting). If a friend asked me to recommend survey sites, Crowdtap would be in the top 3.
I have no idea why people are bashing crowdtap, I've used it for several years. Gotten almost$500 in Amazon gift cards, currently have another $40 to redeem now (Cant decide between Target, Amazon and Walmart!). Also several free items from shampoo, body wash, ketchup, cleaners, makeup from Marc Jacobs, sun screen... I will never stop!
Thanks, Emilie! We appreciate your contributions to our community :)
Crowdtap is a simple and fun way to share my opinions and reviews while earning rewards. Testing products has been rewarding in really seeing the new products coming out. I have learned more about brand names and services that have made making decisions much easier.
Thank you, Toni.
I initially found Crowdtap when searching for product sampling/testing. I tried so many new things that I still use today. I've noticed they don't have or don't offer me samplings lately. But it's okay I'm up to $50 in amazon cards for just taking surveys. I had a recent issue I wanted to change my email. It got done in less than 24 hours, great communication.
I signed up for Crowdtap last night and answered surveys for a good while before going to sleep, then woke up to find my account was disabled and no one can give me a reason why. What a waste of time! I've read that this happens a lot with this site, so I'll be sticking with Branded Surveys and YouGov from now on. I've never had a problem with those sites.
Crowdtap is an awesome way to regularly earn gift cards and product testing. The products are pretty cool also. The survey style Crowdtap uses is my favorite. It doesn't get boring and it not overwhelming or long. The perfect amount of questions! I have never had any issues with anything. Quick payouts too!
I've been doing crowdtap for a few months now and am getting almost weekly rewards of $10-$20 in gift cards. The surveys are quick & I do them when I have a spare minute, standing in line at the grocery etc. easy to use!
Thank you, Abbie!
This issue was resolved this morning, so I updated my review to reflect update. I don't want to delete it altogether, as this may happen again in the future and people should be aware of that as it was very time/ effort consuming. So, I have calculated an average for my rating. A month ago I would've given this site 5 stars since I had been a very satisfied member for a year. Unfortunately, I believe there was some kind of error that blocked my account. I have tried to reach out to customer service 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and nothing. And as I am reviewing all recent reviews, it seems that this is becoming a widespread issue. If you're thinking of signing up. BEWARE!
Hi Alisha, We apologize for your frustration and are happy to investigate this further and attempt to resolve it. Please provide us with the Support Request #s from when you reached out to our team so we can escalate the issue and have someone follow up as soon as possible.
Crowdtap has been a great source to earn Amazon gift cards. However, there are just too many issues with the newer version. First of all, beware that it will ask you to validate your account before you can redeem your points. For some reason, my account cannot be verified no matter how many times I try. I have contacted their customer support, and all they said was "my information did not match their public record." I am really confused since I only used my facebook account to sign up, and have never entered my address at all. Now, I cannot redeem my points for a $15 gift card.
Hi Gordon, If your information did not match public records, we do allow you to go back and revise it if there has been an error for some reason, and we can manually review your verification request. If you send us a private message with your email we can look into exactly what information didn't match public records and provide you with a path to resolve this.
Crowdtap use to be a great site where you could answer questions honestly and earn gift cards for your work. Their new security systems are constantly deleting peoples accounts when you log in from a different location other than your home. There are ten people in my office that had crowdtap accounts but crowdtap has shut us down due to our server location (shows Massachusetts but we are located in Indiana). Needless to say, don't bother doing crowdtap at work or you will lose your points and your account. Good luck getting in touch with them after this happens.
Answer: You are not compensated for anything. You earn points. The points get you entries in contests. You could win just like you COULD win the lottery. You do not earn points that you can cash into gifts card or money. Remember this. Many times people who work for the company will do reviews on sites like this to make the company look good.
Answer: If you don't answer questions their way you're getting kicked off with no explanation or a response. And they will keep whatever points you have earned. They purposely ignore your emails. Sinister.
Crowdtap has a rating of 2.4 stars from 348 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Crowdtap most frequently mention gift card, customer service and enough points. Crowdtap ranks 10th among Survey sites.
Hi Cathy, We looked into your account to understand why you were disabled. It appears as though you were disabled due to our security system, and your account cannot be reactivated.
