I'm almost ALWAYS Tapped OUT!
December 19, 2022

I began participating on the Crowdtap platform at the end of November, 2022. I am a weary veteran of a LOT of survey sites with the 'war stories' as well as the war wounds from my many hours of peering onto my phone, waiting for the surveys to be released. I remember how powerless I felt when, after I had described my 'ideal vacation' at the beginning of a new survey. I can see the words "in as much detail as you can" that came from the hidden 'Surveyor' who ruled with an iron scepter and could slice through egos, ridicule wisdom and cause the intellect of a Rhodes scholar to cloud with self doubt. I smiled broadly as I described the absolutely perfect 'Golf Holiday' where my daughter and son would accompany me to three shrines if golf in America. This was a fantastic fantasy that I had created especially for and because of the callous way they Surveyor panelists so quickly disqualify both new and experienced surveyors. Whe I related how my kids and I would fly out to the Monterrey Peninsula and drive up the grand entrance to Pebble Beach, then on to Atlanta for a 7:45am tee time at the one and only East Lake Country Club Golf Course. No, I did not I mention anyones score and I ended my story with my fictitious stroll across the 'Amen Corner' at Augusta National Golf Club. Not only did I know all of the destinations in which these courses are located and not just because I had been a golfer for almost thirty years, but I also was a successful, retired hospitality sakes professional with over twenty million dollars in travel/,tourism sales, but I KNEW the details of each city that we would visit. I recited the fantasy as if I were reading the recent travel magazine. I finished with several minutes to spare. I finish typing, raise my eyes to the top of the screen where I'm about to see those 500 points that areSURELY about to be mine. Then I see my window blink and tge the scoreboard appears. The camera pans to my name and the numbers 69 float up to the ceiling while my stomach slides down into my lap. Once again I feel the nervousness and hopelessness. The impotence that taking surveys for rewards gives one. Yes, I DO have PTSD…. Perplexed Terminated Survey Dollars…
One survey…Done One Dollar One Denied.,

It's fun, but it hurts sometimes

Tip for consumers:

I think the site gives a shopper more than enough information and product examples to make informed purchases.

Products used:

I used everything and I started my order for next month

Horrible Customer Service, Horrible Draconic Monitoring, Bans Loyal Users for Very Little Reason
April 3, 2021

When I first got verified and started using Crowdtap I was delighted! The app and interface were easy to use and the surveys were straightforward for the most part. I liked their gift card redemption system although it does take a while for rewards to process.

However, my account has been disabled twice, second time still not reinstated.

The first time, there was no reason given, but I had accumulated 40k points because I spent so much time on Crowdtap. I was super upset because my time felt unappreciated and wasted. They eventually reinstated my account the first time with no clear reason as to why I was disabled in the first place other than the vague response that I was somehow "inattentive?"

The second time, they decided to disable my account permanently when I still had 30k+ points.

This company's activity monitoring is almost draconic in nature, and they disable accounts left and right with no reasonable explanation. Their vague reasoning to me was "inattentiveness and dishonesty" for some Home Furnishing survey. It's like they want to sabotage their loyal users and actively find reasons to disable your account so they don't have to fulfill your redemption rewards.

I have to note that I take all my surveys seriously and answer them honestly. Yet they can somehow arbitrarily judge your survey answers to be "dishonest and inattentive" in their convoluted method. All 30,000+ points I have accumulated, all that time I loyally used their app, all down the drain with zero empathy from them. It has become such a stressful, traumatic, and horrible experience when I'm dealing with their customer service. Asking for their customer service on both Facebook and via email has become such a dread. I just want my time and my account back.

Like all the negative reviews on the Sitejabber site, I feel my account was unfairly disabled as well. Further requests to Customer Service went unanswered after their extremely rude initial response. I have seen more than one user complaining about someone named Harley Monroe. This person should really not be in Customer Service, period. People who have worked hard to do surveys and answered honestly all somehow have their account disabled when they accumulate points to be able to redeem rewards for their time! Yet they don't appreciate your time or effort and merely give you this disingenuous response:

"We have reviewed your account and are obligated to inform you that your account has been banned.
In order for Crowdtap to remain capable of rewarding members for their honest engagement, we monitor behavior on our platform and enforce flagging and banning of accounts when necessary. Your account will remain banned because two or more responses you gave when you participated in "Home Furnishing" are indicative of dishonesty or inattentiveness."

What a way to pretty much give the user a middle finger and slam the door on your face too. I am still extremely upset. Two years of Crowdtap and all you get is grief and stress. What a shame.

Ownership changed to scamming $#*!s
March 26, 2019

I was banned like many other people I see complain about on facebook and instagram. My account got deacitvated when I was about to cashout $5. I answered everything honestly and take time to do all the work as ALWAYS. I don't live out of country either. All a sudden I couldn't log on anymore. They removed my account outta nowhere. They won't reply to more than 10 emails I sent. And they still send me emails like I'm a part of the site STILL.

I decided to make a new account since they got rid of mine for no reason. They won't approve accounts until you do all the work like I did again. Not to my shock after I rack up pts again for $5 they don't approve my account. The old site with the other owners approved your account before you put any work in. I did $10 worth of work just to get stiffed my payment and get ignored 1000 times. But from what I hear it's just robot copy past messages anyways. The site doesn't have costumer support anymore and they are scamming plenty out of money. They really don't care at all.

Never have experienced this from any similar site. They take the cake with the most unprofessional scamming ones. Anyone else that comments good things just have yet to run into these issues. They most likely will down the line. I used to get so much free awesome things with cool companies with the old crowdtap. Then I got nothing to review once the site changed and now not even getting paid. Good riddance. I will stick with actual companies that aren't scammers and PAY me as well as EVERYONE else working for them not just some. Till they decide to throw you away too. Nobody is better then anyone else on here... it's just a matter of time when they decide to toss you out too and not pay you most likely for no reason at all but to not pay you. They pretty much say this in their FAQS too... that they can do that whenever they want. Even if you follow the "rules''.

I like sharing my opinions on products, websites, and...
May 11, 2011

I like sharing my opinions on products, websites, and services. I read about Crowd Tap online. They ask your opinion on products or services and occasionally have you try products in the form of a sample share or hosted party. They also are heavily involved in charity so I figured I'd give it try.

First when you sign up you get a $1 in your account. You also get points. Points are not the same as the money in your account. The more points you get the higher level you are. Once you get in a high level you eligible for the sample shares and hosted parties, which are pretty cool.

You need at least $10 to cash out. You don't get actual money, but Amazon gift certificates. They have you choose a charity from their list when you sign up. I chose Autism Speaks, since my nephew is Autistic and I work with special needs children I love this charity.

When you cash out they automatically give 5% of your earnings to your charity. Crowd Tap then matches the amount. I love this idea. You also get money occasionally for answering polls. It may only be a dollar here and there. They then make the same amount donation to your charity.

You have activities to complete. All that is answering a question on a forum about a product or your view on an idea. You get points for that.

After receiving so many points you get to a higher level. I joined about 6 months ago and am now on level 7. Level 4 and up are eligible for sample share and parties. My first one was for Old Navy. I received a coupon in the mail for a free pair of jean capris. I also got 3 free coupon for capris to hand out to my friends. We didnt' pay a dime. The people at the store was amazed we had the coupon. I then filled out a report that took about a minute about the capris and received $5 in my account and points. My next sample share was Old Navy again this time I got 1 free dress and 3 coupons for free dresses. Again I received $5 in my account. I then had a Playtex Sport Body Wipe Share. This time they sent me about 10 samples of the product. For some reason I only got $2 in account this time because they said my report was not good enough. I needed to go into my detail. My current sample share I got a box filled with Old Navy Accessories. I got in the mail a free purse, sunglasses, 2 pretty scarves, 5 free canvas reusable bags. I didn't fill out report yet. I'm suppose to have a party and give out gifts and keep one for myself. I am doing this next week.

My one friend got a sample share for free Hawaiin Tropic Suntan lotion and moisterizer. I know they had a diesel, msn and pepperidge farm shares to that I didn't qualify for.

The site is great, but still in Beta mode. So there are some kinks. For example you are suppose to get points for answering on the forums. I don't for my one sample share, I told them this and they said I do get it even though I do not. They do answer emails right away, but are not that helpful in the situation about my points. This only happen once though. They also give you 400 pts for answering thoughtfully. I take time to answer in detail, but don't always get points.

I did cash out for $107 in Amazon gcs. It took about 6 months.

All in all this is a cool site and when they get out of Beta mode I hope it's cooler. It defintely worth checking out.

Currently you can only join through invites so check it out below.
