I bought a new phone from their website, but didn't work out, and returned the device right away, within the 7-day period (AFTER I received the phone). I called Cricket Warranty dept., and was provided with the RA# They received the returned phone within the 7-day window (on December 5,2018, good thing I kept a few screenshots and photos of the tracking) and so I was eligible for the refund. The refund was supposed to be back to my credit card within 7 - 10 business days. Guess what? As of today (January 7,2019), after 20 business days (excluding Christmas Day and New Year), I have not received the refund as promised. I have called the Cricket Warranty multiple times and had spent many hours on the phone with them. They came up with multiple excuses and promises to no avail. I just wanted to receive my refund since I did everything as instructed and is eligible for a refund.
I have never written a negative review in my entire life, so this is the first one. However, I think it is important to warn ALL potential new customers out there NOT to buy your phone from Cricket Website. There are too much risks involved if the phone is not working as expected since their claimed "the phone can be returned within 7 days of receiving the shipment" is a SCAM.
The insurance that cricket uses is the worst and I would only think cricket knows this. My daughter was lied to about the cost of a replacement phone and was not informed that the replacement phone would be an outdated one. Cricket is telling me this is an insurance issue. The cricket poor business practice and being lied to is not an insurance issue. Stay away from this company and the insurance company they use.
Reluctantly purchased $500 S9 because my S7 won't work with Cricket hotspot. A month later, after repeated attempts, Cricket CANNOT ACTIVATE the phone and will not release the network unlock code until the phone has been ACTIVE 6 months... They refuse to refund my money... Total jerks
--BUYER BEWARE: The 7 day return period on a Cricket phone doesn't begin after the phone gets activated / becomes useful, it begins the second you receive it.
Bought a phone from one of the retailers they didn't even know about their phones but they were selling and sold me a horrible phone that doesn't get service half the time then when I try to take it back to the store the manager put me off to the assistant manager who put me off to the manager and by then it was in the 8th day and they said I had to return it to the headquarters and get the same phone but only refurbish this time would never do business with them have for 12 years and I'm going to switch carriers
Please please don't do service with CRICKET" for the most part customer services sucks those $#*! holes in all of the Gainesville stores are Morans. Really doesn't no how to treat the customers. Service is extremely outrageous to expensive. They are a rip off! 0 rate!
I have stayed with Cricket for 10 years because I have seen my daughter and husband struggle with the other carriers whenever they want to change anything about their plan, their phone, anything. It is always a complicated, time-consuming deal.
I just went into my Cricket account, changed my plan and removed a feature I no longer needed. It was clear and simple and fast. That's the best thing about Cricket.
Their low rates are a perfect match for the low quality of their store people and their customer service staff. Depends on how much time you have to deal with nitwits. I guess I am slow to learn that you almost always get what you pay for.
They changed their international plan to exclude the country I call. No refunds allowed. I paid my bill and immediately called to chat about this and said I needed to cancel because I require international. Told NO refunds for prepaid services, EVER for the month i literally JUST paid moments ago. Will dispute with my bank and go to Republic or ANYONE else. Had service for 2+ years and while it was 'ok' they have been out-priced by lots of other places the last year. This was the straw. No loyalty to customers and no 'get what you pay for'.
I was locked out of my account for forgetting my password. I called over cricket WiFi calling twice. They couldn't hear me adequately and told me there was something wrong with my WIFI. They said to reset my security question on a chat. I went to the chat, which directed me to sign in online. I can't sign in. I pushed chat with a live agent and was taken to a page directing me to call cricket. They can't hear me. There is nothing wrong with my WIFI. There is something wrong with cricket.
I signed up with them after I lost my phone and was in a hurry to just get service with someone.
The service was phone service was terrible. The in store customer service was terrible.
If you want worse service at a higher fee then go with Cricket.
Terrible terrible company I wish I never switched. They don't care about any needs or concerns. The phones that they offer are junk! Don't ever try nd call customer service bc they without a doubt are evil people this company is hands down the worst I've ever dealt with
I have had a Cricket phone for two years and planned to give the phone to a person in need so that they could use it for work. The phone has been used on wifi as I have only needed the phone for one month. I called customer service for assistance as I was directed to do so by the website. Customer service had me on the line over 45 minutes and still did not help me. I need a Network Unlock Code to give the phone to another person BUT because I did not have my phone on Network for a minimum of 6 months customer service would not fulfill my request for the unlock code. So, even though I purchased this phone at full price, I am unable to use my phone with any other network other than Cricket or gift it to someone in need. I do not actually have control over my own phone. Cricket customer service states that this rule is on the website and that I agreed to the terms. The only location for this rule is on a page when you request to transfer the phone and the manager was unable to find any proof that I signed my approval of this ridiculous rule. Be warned, now you know that there is a rule for this, do not purchase from Cricket!
Cricket sucks you can be with them for years and have financial issues reach out to them for a one time curiosity bill pay they tell you oh I can submit a request but come back with we can only offer you to lower your plan and set you up for bridge pay that dont help you if your reaching out to them any other company would give you a one time curiosity as long as you havent had one in 30 days this company is a hit and miss company thats no good because when it storms you be out of service for days but other companies still be working

Well I've been with cricket for years. It's always a hit or miss with them. I'm looking to change services in the close future. 1st, the 611 phone number is the Corp office and they're so uneducated. I always get 10 different answers and no one knows what the hell they're talking about. 2nd, this is a big thing for me, they offer no good deals for phone who have been a long time customer. After having my phone for over a year I broke it but the woman told me all about their upgrades... They're only like 50 dollars cheaper than the full retail price of the phone. Like don't try to fool me. They'll comment back on Facebook to look like the good guys but they aren't. They manipulate things.
I just switched to cricket from metro and the very first day I got my phone telemarketers been calling me all day and night. I contacted cricket numerous times and they keep saying theres nothing they can do and keep referring me to the FCCs do not call registry. Cricket is a scam because there is something they can do, first off they disabled the customer choices and controls on their website so that we cant opt out of all this advertising, and second, theyre sharing and selling our information to third parties. I found this list on crickets website, (attached) that lists hundreds of companies that cricket is sharing our information with. It also says to opt out from advertisers who collect information on behalf of cricket wireless check on the box and apply. As you can see on my photo, there is no box to check to opt out, I guess they disabled this feature too. Cricket is basically invading our privacy, making money off our information, and have disabled us from having a choice to opt out of all this. There is something cricket can do, which is enable the customer choices and controls, and allow us to opt out of these hundreds of companies theyre selling our information to, simple. Also what company doesnt have a corporate number? Metro has a corporate number we can call, why doesnt cricket. The call center reps are $#*!ed and need to be retrained and the phone I bought is wack, it doesnt even have video calls but on their website in the description it says it did have video calls. Switching to cricket was a big mistake and I will be going back to metro, Ill never do business with a company that doesnt allow me to control my privacy, and I will be suing cricket for the money they have made off my information. Thats the kind of things this stupid company should be thinking about, I guess they wont learn until they go down like mark zuckerberg, then theyre gonna act like they care to let us control our privacy.
The service itself is good, I haven't had a single issue with outages or signal/service. I can't give it 5 stars because of lack of Customer Service. It's way more reliable than Tmobile in my state of MN.
These people are some serious window lickers. So I bought a phone online, immediately wasn't satisfied with the windows operating system. So I called to setup a return for the device. The girl on the phone was so stupid, it literally took her 45 minutes to setup a simple return. I knew from the total lack of confidence in her voice that she had no idea what she was doing. I tracked my return and it showed as received by cricket on Monday the 2nd. Yet when I called on the 10th to find out wth is up with my refund, they told me they didn't receive the phone until the 6th and tried to pass the buck to the 4th of July holiday. Even though I was told the refund would take 7-10 business days from the time they received the phone, when I called to find out wth was taking so long, they rudely told me they have up to 10 days to process a refund. No sorry about the delay, nothing. "Is there anything else I can help you with today?" Nope! Thanks for nothing cricket! Losers!
Dishonest company with hidden fees and the worst terrible service in the history of the wireless business. False advertising in their small print and fees, fees, fees. Don't even bother.
This company doesn't know what they're doing or how they are (aren't) doing it. My mother had a stroke earlier this year and needed easy cell service. (Things went south with her other provider. A different story for a different day.) She asked me to register her phone and get it up and running. I had the SIM card number. I had the device number. I had a $25 refill card for funding. Their web site drove me bat-[bleep] crazy. I tried entering those first two numbers and the site insisted I buy a monthly plan. Why would I want a plan when Mother gave me a $25 refill card to get her started? Then the site froze. Then both customer service people (via online chat) said they couldn't help me if I was unable to give them an order number. (I doubt they'd have been able to help me anyway. They were completely clueless.) It was pure [bleep] to go through, and I've never experienced such ineptitude with a phone service. No, no, no.
Answer: That's what they do best. Lie. When I first joined I was trying to get the New Customer deal. But they did not Honor it.
Answer: The bbb is definitely no help. Lawyers are out for themselves. Post the truth on every review platform you can. They work. Im a professional reviewer for a major home improvement warehouse and they do get results. Cricket is the worst company i have ever dealt with. Expose them
