Credit scores are not accurate. It seems they don't pull all information and the scores appear higher than they are. Disappointing when You actually try to get a loan and realize your score is much different. Don't recommend relying on Credit Karma.
I love credit karma. I’ve upped my credit score over 100 points by combining it with advice I found around the internet. But they recently removed part of their credit simulator tool, which really sucked, because I used it all the time.
Supposedly Credit Karma says it will file your tax returns for free however they come up with some kind of error so you have to pay to file. I pay every year to file my taxes however, I like free so decided to try it. Do not fall for it this bogus "free tax return". They have teamed up with TurboTax which also states they will do a free refund. This also is a bunch of BS. I just want honest companies. I guess that's too much to ask for in this day and age.
I went to close my account with credit karma due to some issues with not being able to withdrawal my own money.(they locked my card) Now, since trying to pull my 1072. 00 off my card, they just closed all my accounts with them 5 days ago and still don't have my money back, and to the point where I don't think I ever will. I am having to call a lawyer at this point. Ridiculous! The only email they have sent me is that my case is closed and to do a survey to let them know how they are doing. Really? If you like your money DO NOT USE CREDIT KARMA! For your own sake. I hope this helps someone. MQ
BEWARE!. Regardless of the situation, The sad truth is that many organizations purporting to be able to get your bitcoin money back once you have been ripped off are the biggest scammers out there. You can always recover everything you have lost via New Horizons 001 at AOL dot com. Just google them. I was a victim of the Bitcoin Scam back in 2022. Luckily I was able to recover my crypto money.
I log in regularly to follow my scores, stay on top of inquiries and work toward my financial goals. I have never paid them a dime. My free account has given me a sense of security and control over my credit. I am thankful to have access to the information without gimmicks or games. I haven't had any salescalls, unwanted junk mails or suspicious ads on site.
Using the information provided has helped me successfully make better decisions where credit usage was a factor. Today I got a really neat email from them, and thus, landed here on sitejabber to share my experience with creditkarma
Was promised 100 dollars to deposit my tax return and later they said I don't qualify even though the app said I qualified and had me accept the offer. Opened a case with credit karma and basically they told to me too bad. Terrible ethics, and dishonest offers. Never again.
Credit Karma promise $50 gift card I had outstanding odds to receive a Citibank credit card that turned on for the card. I waited 90 days and never got the 50.00 gift card I contacted Credit Karma several times and no 50.00 card. Please be where they don't keep their promises at least not yet
Their scores they give you are way off. I had been rebuilding my credit for about 8 months. They showed my scores asset or below 580 when in fact I was over 620. Had I not checked with a loan officer I would not be getting ready to close on my home. Don't trust the scores they report to you.
They say the check daily but my accounts balances fluctuate like everyone else. They will trash your score, then pop it up like you took their advice, offer credit cards they make money off of. I make over $100k, use only 2% utilization, have no mortgage but if I spend $1000 on a credit card they trash me 25 points. Credit scammers.
I love being able to know my credit in seconds. On top of that, I love the fact that if my credit goes up or down it will tell me right away. I also find it nice that if a new account goes up, they let me know - it helps me keep track of all my credit cards and stuff. I definitely recommend using this site. My fiance even was fascinated by how fast I got my results and all the options the site has, it made him want to sign up and check his!
Credit karma wrongly reports the wrong score on purpose. How does mint and credit karma use transunion but have different scores. The one on mint can't be screen shot but it's 725... at least 10 point difference and their both wrong.
I was a user of Credit Karma till I had a problem that I could not look at my report anymore. I have repeatedly tried to get hold of anyone but no reply back at all. Not even a buzz off. So I figure a bad review might catch their attention but I'm not counting on it.
Credit Karma's tax filing unit was sold to Cash App. Cash App is a waste of time. I tried to download it by requesting a code and no code was ever sent. So, I'll be looking elsewhere for a site in which to do my taxes.
Filed my taxes with them. They said the IRS accepted my claim. Two days later during the TX Snowstorm then send another email saying it was rejected. My internet was down during the storm. Checked today and sure enough, the IRS had rejected my return due to one digit being wrong on one of the lines. I wish they had sent out another email reminding me. Grr. So, two weeks wasted. Sigh.
As others on here have noted, they do inflate your credit score, or so it seems to me based on other credit reports.
They are ( Just ok) because half the time my actual score is lower or a bit higher than they report however they are on top of it when I do a hard pull with a credit application. I will not be doing my taxes with them ever I have a tax professional already keep note folks about the credit notifications they are spot on hard credit pulls.
Credit Karma suggested credit card by Mission Bank, by which they said I had excellent chance to be approved for or Credit Karma would send me $50. Instead they ran hard inquiry, did not approve the card and my credit score dropped 32 points. I so debated not to apply, but instead I did. When Credit Karma guarantees you $50, figure you have a good chance to gain. Advice: Don't take their chance!
While credit karma does show you useful information like what credit factors are effecting your credit report it does not use an accuratesystem to calculate your score. When my score was below 600 it told me it was 660. When I worked all year at building my credit by paying off student loans and using a credit card wisely it showed that my credit score had gone down when in actuality it had increase by over 40 points. It's great to know what old loans and credit checks are still being reported to transunion and equifax but you should not by any means trust the score that they estimate for you. Go to your bank and get a real score. Not to mention they do not have a real customer service department. Only computerized responses via email. When I tried to contact them they sent the same exact reply to every one of my messages 6 times. I feel bad for anyone who actually tried to use them to file their taxes.
Credit Karma is ok but never listen to them when they say you've been pre approved or any chance of getting a card. There's underlying rules for every lender and theylle ruin your credit by getting you to apply for cards not meant for you.
A Few months ago, our hedge funds lost about $300,000 to a Binary option scam. We contacted "JimfundsrecoverY at ConsultanT dot CoM" In no time, they did an amazing job recouping almost 90% of our funds. We appreciate working with your team. Thanks!
I have disputed cases and some was resolved but I keep getting these notifications that my score changed. Logged in and again false accounts I am be penalized with that I have no knowledge of. Every time I get my score up there seems to be some bs account that pops up from nowhere and lowers it again. Accounts that are not mine. Now I have to dispute and maybe get a answer and just be denied of what I'm doing or trying to do because score keeps dropping
