I signed up for.
Crafty about a year ago and then a friend of mine warned me.So I went and looked at their terrible reviews regarding repeatedly taking money out after the subscription was canceled. So I called them the same day and canceled the subscription and never, ever used it.They did not refund my initial payment. But it wasn't very much money. So I didn't really follow through on it. Since I pay them with paypal I went to paypal and remove them from my paypal auto pay and have confirmation email from PayPal they were removed. Well, it seems they saved my payment.Information and submitted a charge for a hundred and twenty three dolla couple of days ago and i'm having a really hard time getting it resolved for some reason. Even though I have proved that they were removed, they were able to charge me as if they were on autopay so it's listed as an approved payment. I have an open case right now. I think there should be legal repercussions for unauthorized transactions like this for companies who do it repeatedly. In addition, crafty has been sending me lots of emails offering 98 to 99% off of a subscription. No mention of them taking money out of my account without my knowledge.
In 2023, my wife got the $1.99 trial She NEVER got a renewal notice. We got charged $179. We called and cancelled.
And now? We just got hit with $227 from Craftsy. THERE WAS NO RENEWAL EMAIL AGAIN, THEY ARE LYING
We had to cancel her debit card. AVOID this filth company at all costs
I signed up for a great price and cancelled the membership so I wouldn't be charged again. A year later they decided that wasn't okay. They reactivated my membership and charged me $130 with no warning and no authorization. They don't respond if you email or fill out the contact us form and they're never available for chat or a phone call during their stated business hours.
In addition to that, their videos are pretty mediocre and most of them you have to pay extra for anyway!
I signed up for a $10 class which was useless and had no value. 2 weeks before the 12 months was over Craftsy auto renewed me to a PREMIUM membership without my permission and charged $123 USD to my credit card came which was $181.39 AUD + an international transaction fee of $6.23 AUD a total of $187.62 AUD. When I complained they offered to lower the yearly membership to $39.99. I said no. They refunded the $123 USD = $180.56 AUD to my credit card. I am now out of pocket for $7.06 AUD for something I did not authorise or want.
I did the Black Friday deal because there were some courses I wanted to take. It said you get 8 free. Well the 8 free are very limited. The courses I wanted are still paid. There was no indication of this at sign up. Luckily I only spent $11.50 ($2.50 first then $9 to upgrade to gold) because if I paid the actual annual price I would be LIVID. Going to turn off that auto renew right now...
I joined this website for a trial costing $2 or so. After seeing how little content there was and the poor quality of content, I decided to cancel my membership. Today I see in my bank statement I have been charged $138 by Craftsy. I called customer service and they refuse to refund me and insist I never cancelled. I went to the website and was baffled when it showed me as having a premium account when I remember 100% cancelling. Now when I call customer service I get a different company and when I try to cancel my membership again it says error. I am contesting the charge with my bank and urge everyone to avoid this company.
I signed up for that cute little $1.05 trial about a year ago. I went on the website to check out what I just bought and it was WORTHLESS. Like nothing useful to me and nothing helpful at all. So I went on the website and cancelled my membership. Well all of the sudden today I got charge $107. I called to get a refund and cancel AGAIN and they said there's no record of my canceling and they have a no refund policy. It's an absolute scam because I KNOW I cancelled. They informed me that they sent a reminder email 2 months ago. After searching my email and trash folder they never sent an email. It's how they run this scam. I am now on hold with PayPal trying to dispute this.
I sent this today. I have tried to call but your voice mail states your hours and you are not answering during your open hours. Your voice mail ends with a message to call you back during open hours. Your chat function says you are closed. Have you gone out of business?
I have read the reviews on line and you get one star for customer service. I need help! I paid for lifetime access during your original opening as Craftsy and I can not access my content on my phone or tablet. It says I am not a current member. Please fix this.
I was charged over $100 for a membership I never signed up for. I charged with a trip who just kept regurgitating the same thing. I requested my concern be escalated and the "manager" with whom I chatted was rude and unhelpful.
I was told they would put a $100 digital credit on my account, which is virtually worthless since I've never used the service.
After taking up their offer of 75 cents I find out that the courses are around 200 euros each, I have repeatedly asked to cancel and was shocked to find that the auto renewal was set for daily! BEWARE!
Craftsy did an unauthorized charge on my bank account a day ago. I contacted them to get it corrected and refunded and they refused. I did not purchase anything and it is clearly unauthorized. I have disputed the charge with my bank and canceled my account with Craftsy. They nothing but a shady and crooked company. Steer clear of them!
I see all these reviews saying the same thing. They took our $ and won't return tho we're sure we cancelled.
Update: PayPal cancelled the payment since it was still pending! Phew!
Still going to fight them for future victims
Craftsy is way over priced at $90, absolutely not worth it for me. I was not impressed by there dated content. Your membership doesn't even cover everything they offer. There are additional fees!Awful customer service as well your satisfaction is not guaranteed. Don't waste your money.
Like all the customers below, they charged me $100 for the annual membership which I did not sign up. No matter what I said, they refuse to issue refund but to grant me a credit of $100 to purchase their stuff which is totally ridiculous. DO NOT SIGN UP for anything or you will regret that you did.
Men are clearly overlooked at Craftsy. It assumes all followers are female (clearly most are) and the class descriptions do not detail if the class videos delineate to cover the anatomy differences of men's bodies (Hint: Most do not) when planning and sewing a garment. I know what I am talking about as I have probably purchased over 30 different classes. I have also written Craftsy several times about the frustrations. They always respond promptly, but never make any real change to make the site more male-friendly and inclusive. If you are interested in women's clothing, then great... It's wonderful for that, but I am not interested in making women's clothing, and so find myself in a very unrepresented market. If you are like me, my advice is stay away and watch YouTube videos instead.
I love the Craftsy site! I have started taking drawing and painting lessons to improve my own skills and experience. The instructors are all knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their lessons. Other students offer guidance and encouragement while you are doing your projects!
You choose the time and can review the lesson plans anytime or place. Its easy to find new projects and products on the website. They also offer discounted session and suggestions for your next project. Not only great for the beginner but an experienced artist too! :)
Was just charged over $100 for a premium membership which I had no recollection of signing up for. Immediately reached out to Craftsy to request a refund, within the same day of the charge, in fact it is still sitting in "activity today" on my checking account. Was told that their policy is for no refunds. I think that is terrible customer service. I could understand if a month or even a week went by, but this is same day. Ridiculous!
I started with classes on Craftsy when they first got started. Back then the quality of the classes were outstanding. Since they have grown at an alarming rate the quality of classes has diminished. It appears anyone can become a Craftsy instructor. Many of the newer instructors do not get back with questions, sometimes for days or even weeks. If your not satisfied with a class they will switch you to another however, the choices are limited and if you can't find a class you enjoy your out of luck. I have a few classes I'v kept from a couple years ago. If your into quilting you will find many classes on the same topics just different instructors. Craftsy, in my opinion has grown too big too fast and are becoming a run of the mill company. Nothing special about Craftsy anymore.
I purchased over fifty Craftsy classes using my Kindle Fire. Craftsy made a change to cater their videos to the Ipad user so my classes no longer play videos on my Kindle Fire. After two months of frustration with tech support, Kindle and Craftsy have both left me hanging. Unless I buy an Ipad, I'm pretty much out of luck. My Kindle plays You Tube and Facebook family videos. It's only the Craftsy website that is no longer user friendly to my specific needs. Craftsy assured me they would address the problem but have stopped communicating with me.
I paid less then 3 dollars. Obviously it requires auto renewal for a year. Had to cancel my paypal autorenewal. This site grabs few dollars from as much people as they can but there is "zero" service even for the few dollars. Dont waste your time here.
Answer: I doubt that, but any time you're not happy, Craftsy offer free US returns.
Answer: In my experience they dispatch the goods by the day after I've ordered them. However, now that they are using DHL it takes longer to receive them, especially since DHL turn the goods over to USPS. I follow tracking whenever there is a tracking number, and it wasn't actually DHL's fault, the goods got to DHL's destination quickly, the slowness was that of USPS taking the order from DHL and delivering it. It takes approximately a week now to cross the country. I suppose it's human nature, especially nowadays, to want everything right now and perhaps sometimes there is a valid urgent need, but I don't think that waiting a week or so should be enough to stop you ordering from a company.
Answer: See if you can instal the ocean browser app. That used to work for me.
Answer: Try installing the ocean browser app. That used to work for me.
Answer: I can't play them on my kindle fire either. I used to be able to by using the ocean browser app but something changed and it wouldn't work any more. In fact, I can't even get any appd to instal any more, and amazon's support have been useless. You could try installing the ocean browser. I would never get another kindle fire or any other amazon product. I use my laptop hooked up to the tv.
