Crackle

Crackle sucks so bad it defies belief.
Endless and frequent commercial breaks make it impossible to watch anything.
I was watching a 3 Stooges short and every 3 or 4 minutes it was interrupted by a commercial, the last one lasting several minutes.
At least I think it was the last one because I gave up in disgust and uninstalled this crappy app.
I would be willing to put up with a commercial or two at the beginning or end but the only purpose of this app is seemingly to show commercials ad nauseum.
There are much better apps to see your favorite shows and movies, so don't waste your time with this piece of crap.

Hope you like the same three commercials a thousand times and don't even think about fast forwarding or you'll get caught in a commercial loop that literally does not end without exiting the program or turning the PS3 off. Watch list freezes the program also. Oh and a million other reasons not to use this. Really sucks that it's the only way to watch Powers. That show is screwed unless they get a different contract with another service provider.

UPDATE 4. 26. 16: They fixed the Watchlist so that it doesn't freeze up, but good luck adding. You have to go to their website to 'Activate' your account and yeah well... mine never activated. Bahahahah

The same commercials repeat every 10 minutes. No variety just the same 5 commercials. And if you put it on pause, it goes backwards and instantly barrages you with commercials again. The same ones over and over. Oregon Water, stupid commercials with Shaquille Oneill plugging the General Insurance, Water Pic, Chicken soup for the soul, and more often than not, the same commercial will played back to back... twice in a row. Really bad. And it's too bad because they have some classic TV shows. But it's hard to watch this way, and irritating.

Tuned into Crackle as it was a free channel on my Roku. Suffered thru watching one movie on it. Movie would've been ok, but was interrupted (it seemed like every 5 minutes, but it was probably more like 10) constantly by the SAME stupid video game commercial OVER & OVER & OVER. Will never watch again and now I hate video games too! Worse than watching commercial TV - at least you get a Geico or talking baby commercial once in awhile! I'll stick with my Netflix streaming

Crackle was wotking OK for for many months.

But lately, viewing problems have increased for me.
To have video play, I have to go through an uncertain protocol:... login, play video from queue ( copy URL), log-out... (Paste URL)try again to play video... repeat...

Note: to those annoyed by too many ads, read up on HOSTS file. (ahh SNAP!)

Recenlty though... the crackle control-bar won't auto-hide (annoying)
After the 'break for the AD' (blocked).
( fix: move mouse/cursor ON/OFF screen)

I really thought crackle will be the best free program but it's not. It has a great good deal of options for you to watch, unfortunately I can't even watch a entire full movie. This is the third movie I have tried to watch and it has literally cut off half of the movie in the whole screen just turns black and I cannot resume to watch the rest of the movie. It is very frustrating and is no point of even watching a movie if I can't never see the ending. To make matters worse I feel like the commercials are way more longer than they should be and I see more commercials than I see of the movie and that is ridiculous. I have settled with Tubi!

CRACKLE APP CONTINUES TO FREEZE THROUGHOUT MOVIE. MY OTHER STREAMING CHANNELS WORK WITHOUT ERROR. BUT IT IS A DISAPPOINTMENT TO WANT TO WATCH A GREAT MOVIE FROM THE PAST AND HAVE THE MOVIE FREEZE. I RESTART AND WITHIN A FEW MINUTES IT FREEZES AGAIN. THIS HAPPENS WITH ANY MOVIE WHEN STREAMING FROM CRAKLE. I GUESS I WILL DELETE THIS APP BECAUSE IT IS WORTHLESS. I HAVE A STRONG INTERNET CONNECTION AND I DID RESTART MY TV TO SEE IF IT WAS MY CONNECTION. BUT SADLY IT IS THE APP. BYE CRACKLE!

I came across Crackle from my daughter who stated that Seinfeld had a show called Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. I started watching and I can t get enough of it, Its the greatest idea ever, I laugh every night and his quest are awesome. Thank you Crackle for having this show on.

I am using my android phone now to make this comment because Every time I try to watch a movie using my tablet cackle freezes and I have to power down to stop it, and 4 hours ago my tablet just lost power at a 96% charge when I clicked play on a movie on cackle and now my tablet doesn't even power on. So I took it to a friend who works as a pc repair man and he said my tablet is dead, well I just bought it yesterday, so I will contacting cackle for a lawsuit if it doesn't start working tomorrow! Btw cackle is the worst site I ever used!

Found this channel on Roku when I decided to do away with Netflix due to Netflix blocking VPN's and proxy's. The shows on Crackle are older but it's SOMETHING to watch and have as background noise.
I have YET been able to watch anything to the end. Every time a break comes up... I don't get a commercials I just get "breaks" to show or movies starts at the very beginning again.

I got rid of the this channel... even at being FREE it's not worth it.
It's actually false advertising because you don't GET to watch "free movies and TV" because you can never see a show until the very end!

Too many of the same commercials and too many commercials. They don't update the playlist often enough, too many (crappy) foreign films either poorly dubbed and or no sub-titling. This is speaking from the Crackle Xbox experience. Today they started showing a beer commercial. Beer commercials being aired on the Xbox 360 where the majority of users are under the age of 18. Crackle is simply around to collect the advertising revenue. They do very little to accommodate the end user. They should have called it Crapple.

I've not had the negative experience that others have had on crackle. Yes, there are advertisements, but it doesn't bother me by virtue of the fact that I'm not paying a dime.

There is a good variety of content (a lot of which I cannot get on Netflix) and a very intuitive and appealing interface. By signing up for an account you can rate what you watch and also view rated R material.

If it were not for the advertisements I could confidently give this site about 4.5 stars. The content is great, but could always be expanded.
