BEWARE! I purchased a gown for my son's wedding. Beautiful gown, but not for me, but when I went to return I was extremely upset and feel completely deceived. They don't pay for return shipping, you have to pay, which I could deal with, but…they don't allow USPS returns, only UPS or FEDEX, (more expensive - it was $84 to return a $480 dress!) They require a RMS number be issued, they require the dress be received back to them in 5 days of issuance of the RMS or your return isn't honored. You need to take and attach "clear" photos, front and back of the dress, as well as a photo of your labeled box you are sending back. If you used any coupon code to make your purchase, they charge a 20% restocking fee, AND…. NO REFUND! From a $480 dress (+the $84 on top of that for return shipping, a total investment of $564!) they are offering me a $384 STORE CREDIT! I don't live anywhere near a Couture Candy store (is there even one?) so I would, of course need to shop online, which unfortunately is way too risky. I am afraid if I tried another dress, I would ultimately end up throwing my entire over $564 away with additional possible return shipping and/or other unfair fees and have no dress at all! PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! If you're ok with this preposterous return policy, then go for it, but I, for one, feel completely duped and unsatisfied.

My experience is so similar to the other complaints that it must be this company's M. O. My fiancé bought me a dress I didn't like and after returning it, a 20% restocking fee was deducted, leaving me an 80% store credit, which I used to buy another dress for my wedding reception. I emailed the company before purchasing the dress to tell them when I needed the dress and why and was assured it would be sent the following day and I'd receive it within 3 days. It never arrived and I received no communication from the company until I called them yesterday ( a week after it was to have arrived) and was told the dress had a stain and hadn't been sent. I requested a refund and was told it would be a store credit only and they would be deducting a 20% restocking fee on a dress they never sent! Needless to say, the discussion escalated and devolved- the upshot being that they barred my access to their site and I disputed the charge on my credit card, filed a complaint with the BBB and reported them as frauds with the California District Attorney's office of Consumer Affairs. I will also, after I return from my honeymoon, file a suit against them in Maryland Small Claims Court for the amount they've effectively stolen from me with interest and court costs requested. I would encourage all of you with similar bad experiences to also file complaints with the Atty General. They do take civil and criminal action against companies who routinely defraud customers.

The photos on the website are VERY misleading. I returned a dress due to the colour being vastly different and being poor quality - don't by anything that describes a dress as sparkly or shimmering - it is only poorly glued glitter which falls off EVERYWHERE along with any beading. I returned the dress at my expense and was given a credit - this is NOT a refund. Don't be mistaken - you cannot use the "credit" to buy any discounted dresses, you cannot use it to buy a dress of equal value as what you paid originally has been reduced to cover a range of their returns fees. You will need to pay for postage to return your dress and postage again if you buy another one using your "credit". I have been so disappointed in the whole way this company treats customers that I chose to let my $500 "credit" expire as it would have cost me another $300 to buy another dress because of the way their system works AND still not be confident I will like that dress either due to the quality issues. Absolute rip offs. Don't buy a dress thinking you have the safety of a returns policy. You will DEFINITELY end up out of pocket. Their credit IS NOT EQUAL TO THE PURCHASE PRICE. You will lose your money, stay away.
