Awful Product

The Air Cooler Fan didn't work but still had to pay for shipping it back to them which cost 1/3 of the price of the unit... don't buy from them!

The site says they will send an immediate email with this information... yet they do not... who does that? Why? At least send an email indicating the order number and inform that the tracking number will be provided at a later date... then I call... just to be informed they have up to 48 hours just to send this information... its been 46 hours and still no email... really? The product said it would arrive by x date which is why I even ordered from the company in the first place... then after I place the order, they say "congratulations! This may take 3-5 Business days to arrive" which is not what it said when I ordered... horrible.

I was surprised to find bar stools that fit perfectly with my kitchen island. They are comfortable and unobtrusive but elegant in their design. The most important and unexpected thing for me however is the customer service I received. Having successfully assembled three of the stools, I ran into a problem with the fourth requiring some help to resolve. I requested a part which I thought would solve was the problem. My mistake was thinking I could fix it myself without help. I received the part without any issues. After experiencing more problems, they are sending me a new stool at no expense to me. I appreciate their generous offer and it's refreshing to know that customer service was beyond my expectations and shows that they take customer surface seriously.

Buyer Beware
July 30, 2022

I was given a treadmill that was part of a pallet of Costway products new. The treadmill has a hydraulic rod that lifts the belt bed up to save space. The problem is that the rod would not allow the belt to lower into a usable position. After multiple interactions with costway customer service they finally let me know that the hydraulic rod was defective. Because the treadmill was purchased off a pallet there was no shipping label or order number for the treadmill itself so they would not help at all! They refused to help in any way with their defective product. They do not sell the hydraulic rod and there was no way to source one therefore I have a useless product from a useless company!

3-piece table and chairs bistro set
July 28, 2022

Scratches and scuffs everywhere. Purchased it the first time through BBB, then purchased it a second time through Amazon. BOTH were damaged and looked used, and BOTH arrived a week late. They wanted me to return it, but I said I'm not wasting my time. Threw it all in the dumpster and demanded my $109 back.

Using their outdoor furniture in an airconditioned home / after 3 years all the plastic caning is crumbling making it dangerous to sit on / the company could care less / they told us too bad / had to report them to the CPSC (consumer product safety commision) Also if you leave them a bad review on their site, they remove it THATS HOW THEY HAVE ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS - FRAUD!

Costway car refrigerator

This is the Costaway AX*******US model car refrigerator. This thing is absolutely amazing. It works on either a 12 to 24 V system or 120 to 220 V AC. When on 12 or 24 V it has multiple power protection cut offs. These help protect your vehicle battery from overdischarge. It advertises as cooling down from 77 to negative 4 in only 30 minutes. Which I would say is right dead on I usually run it on my vehicle 12 V battery as well as a solar panel to help keep the battery topped off as I don't have a true deep cycle battery installed in the Jeep's yet. It also does come with a partition that separates the left hand side from the right hand side and allows you to run it as a new message received It also does come with a partition that separates the left hand side from the right hand side and allows you to run it as a Dual zone setup. I can include the partition in the video this time because I chose just using it for the 4th of July and fitting some of those larger bottles in there I didn't need having dual zones just having the 11 zone of cold I had to think I had to sit down to like 38゚ was plenty cold enough to maintain the temperature I was looking for.

Would not recommend
June 30, 2022

I got a "new member discount" when I signed up and ordered two pieces of furniture. I have waited over 2 weeks and have not received my second item. I had to wait 5 business days for the company to complete an investigation.
I have now been informed that I will have to wait an additional 10-15 business days to get my missing item. So I'm looking at well over 4 weeks for an item I have already pause for. Compensation-$8 because I got a new customer discount. This is legit laughable. Amazon would never inconvenience their customers while they investigate. They also would expedite the package. Save your time and hard earned money, shop local or on Amazon.

Bought a 2 person patio porch swing. After 1 year the canopy rotted out. Contacted Costway to buy a replacement canopy but was told they didn't sell parts. After a week of back and forth they agreed to send me a new canopy but it would take 3 months. After 3 months I was notified it was in and paid the $20 through Paypal but never recieved it. Contacted Costway and was told they didn't know it was paid for and now is no longer available.

I found a portable Costway AC unit on Amazon. Shipping was $30 flat. No other choice. So, I went to the Costway home page, signed up as a new member ($30 coupon for doing so) and bought the exact same AC unit. You would think it would be cheaper, right? Because of the coupon AND Free shipping. Oh, but Costway has a way of putting it's finger on the scale when you step on. I saved a whopping $10. I absolutely hate companies that give you the TOTAL price at checkout, then I receive an email receipt with a totally different total (tax added). How bout show me the actual total price BEFORE I check out? Finally, for days the delivery date on my acct said June 18. When nothing arrived on that day I checked my acct and it now said delivery date June 22. I specifically ordered it in time to arrive before I left town for a week. Now it will arrive and be sitting outside (likely to be stolen). I've cancelled the order via email and Costway can deal with getting their item back. Just poor performance all the way around. Will never order from them again.

Canopy

We recently purchased a canopy from Costway. Long story short. It didn't last a week. The company was very good about giving us a refund. It may be good if you live in a place where there is absolutely no wind or rain. It's really not made with very strong material. To bad because it fits perfectly on our deck. The reason for a 3 star was because the company responded well but the product was very poor quality even though "Inspired by VALUE QUALITY That Lasts" is written on the box. Good to see a company stand behind the customer! For sure I'd buy from Costway again just not this item!

Poor poor poor across the board, Stay Away!

Really should have paid more attention to the reviews everywhere but really on this site. We found a set on costway that we really liked and decided to purchase it (despite the mix - bad reviews we saw; wanted to give them a chance)
1- they say on their website that Orders will arrive in 5 to 10 business days (incorrect in our case)
2- we ordered a set costing hundreds of dollars and they only proposed 10$ for refund in order to say sorry (now increased to 30$ after 1 month of back and forth via email)
3- part of the set could not even be assembled. We took the time to take pictures to show them the defective parts. Etc... 1 month later no progress has been made, every reply they give is like they are treating us like children who are brainless an can't think.
4 - Unable to reach anyone by phone, it always take more than 24 hours to receive a reply (via email only) if you receive any and what's more, out of a 4 pieces that composes the set, they only want to acknowledge that 1 piece is defective when their are actually 2.
I've really had it with that company and like someone else's review i saw out there, it is the first time that I leave such a review for a company.

I think it is important to recognize good Customer service but if it is bad, people should also be made aware

They compare themselves to Amazon but they are light years away from them.

I just wish my review with the many others on this site will help people stay away from a company like Costway that does not seem to honor basic customer service satisfaction rules;

And working partially in that field... I just can attest they are bad. And frankly if i could put 0 start, i would do it

Poor Quality

Bought an air blower. Thought I had gotten a good deal but after I received it, it wasn't. When I tried to return it the cost was half of the total price and they wanted to charge me for the return label and the shipping. Pls read the reviews before purchasing anything from this company. Total rip off!

Worst company I've ever had the displeasure to associate with. Made my life nothing but a headache over a stupid 150 dollar umbrella. Felt like there were only toddlers working there incapable of critical thinking and problem solving. Something that should have taken one hour to resolve, lead to two phone calls to overstock.com (also a terrible experience), two phone calls to costway (each of which I was on hold for an hour or more), and two emails. Each interaction gave me different direction and a 2-3 day time line. All because they were incompetent and sent me the wrong parts. Went on Amazon bought a universal base, was here in one day, no problems. I will be leaving bad reviews anywhere the name costway is written or typed. They wanna string me along and waste my time, well now they have all my time and attention. They only got one star because it requires it.

Horrible Company

We received a patio set as a wedding gift through Costway. The patio set was in horrible condition—wood cracked, table legs were chipped, pre drilled holes did not match up. The overall quality of the set was very cheap—which feels like a scam since the set was nearly $2000. 00. We tried reaching out to the company but no replies. DO NOT BUY FROM COSTWAY!

Worst co. Pany ever they ripped me off for 500 dollars there product came broke they did not care and did nothing about it so I was out 509 dollars and that is alot of money that I had to save up to buy a special present for my son and he could not even play with it and did not even get a refund or a new product
