I ordered an in stock item. A few days later I was told the item was out of stock and back ordered.
I sent a complaint because although other sites had the product when I placed my order they were now either out of store or had a significant price increase.
They responded they were canceling my back order. I did not request this and sent them another complaint. Their response, you must place a new order. (Wow, and pay more!)
Dont trust this site. Yes, I am a Christian and think this vendor is masquerading under the title of Christian.
I have no idea if their products are good or bad. I tried 3x to establish a tax exemption for the church organization I was ordering for. I submitted the church's state issued tax exempt certificate which they denied twice. I then filled out a one-time tax exempt form which they again denied because I only listed their business name on the form and failed to list their business address. I placed my order with a different company and had no problem getting a tax exempt status with what I had originally submitted to this company.
It's been 20 days since I placed my order, and still have yet to receive. The Bible I ordered is the only thing my son asked for, for Christmas. It's been shipped, however shipping continues to get delayed. It's December 23rd, and I may not have it in time for Christmas. This is not ok.
I bought a few items two-in-a-half weeks prior to Christmas day. I received most of the items in a medium size box, but noticed two items were missing. On my receipt it said the items were no longer available. There was no notice what-so-ever saying that my items weren't shipped. I speak to a very rude Customer Service Rep. Saying first saying my items would not be shipped. I ask her, "Then why am I being charged the full amount if my items aren't being sent out to me?" She then backtracks and says that they will be sent at a later time. I only received 1 and that was a bible cover. Again, these small items could've easily fit inside the box. I do think that this website has great stuff, but their Customer Service is below par. Not sure I want to order from them again.

I order some multiple items and paid for the expedite delivery. I was supposed to get the items deliver on 6/15 and when I call the company they decided to jump my order and told me that I will get my order 4 days later than expected. I told the lady that I paid expedite and she said that they couldn't do nothing that if I want I can decline the delivery or she can send me a shipping label.
At that moment I understood that I made the worst decision of ordering with this company. If I can recommend you. Do not purchase from this company. Your business is not important to them and their management don't care about you business. I even sent them an email to contact me to my personal email and I am still waiting for a respond. That tells you how important is for them.
I bought 3 Make A Plate kits for my grandchildren for Christmas. I was willing to pay $21.95 per plate, though advertised for less elsewhere, to avoid future charges for my children. To send 3 Make A Plate kits, when tax, shipping and handling were included, was $81.47. Yes, $81.47 for 3 plastic plates. But wait, we're not done yet! NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES WERE MENTIONED, but when my daughter went to send in the completed sheet for the product, she was told that 3 of the 6 offered options were not available, including a water bottle her 6 year old was very excited about. She was also told that EACH OF THE 3 PLATES would cost her $11.90 in shipping. So now we're up to $117.17 for 3 plastic plates. I spoke to Amy S. At Customer Service who said she was unaware of any prior issues with this product, in spite of the fact there are numerous customer reviews of this product with issues similar to mine. Incidentally, I also sent two of these kits to another daughter, who looked at the cost of shipping the drawings back and decided to throw the packets away rather than spend an additonal $11.90 per plate to return them. This was in addition to the $54.32 I had spent for the 2 plate kits. This process by Christianbooks.com is patently dishonest and borders on extortion.They may not be the makers of the product, but they promote it in all it's dishonesty, and deny any knowledge of issues with it inspite of numerous reviews detailing them.
I am sorry y'all have had a bad experience. I order from CB every couple of weeks and have for at least the last year or more, and while its true that a couple of times it has taken longer than expected to receive my items, I have always received everything ordered. Once or twice an item I have ordered has been back ordered and all I had to do was to log in to my account and cancel that particular item and I was refunded in a fairly expeditious manor.
The prices are actually the lowest that I have found thus far and I really appreciate their selection of marriage certificates (I am a wedding officiant and my couples love the many choices they have because of CB wonderful selection, TY CB!), among other things.

We bought the Barron's regents review books and paid 8 dollars extra for the books to be delivered in one week but the books were never delivered and on the 8th day we looked ad our order and it said that it was out of stock and that we had to backorder it. I was very dissatisfied with their service because I was really looking forward to getting the books early to study for my tests.
They stuffed $210 worth of merchandise in 1 Box & a single item ($30) was shipped separately. There was air filled bags on top & underneath, in the big package, but none on the sides & were therefore, sliding back n forth & all around being banged ALL Up!
The paperback school work's edges were even torn & ripping back. However, I'm most upset about the way the Hardback BIBLE was treated with NO Care or concern! It is dented HORRIBLY!
I should not have had to pay SO much for Brand New merchandise only to receive items that look Worn Out & Used, & that are Torn in places...
Get it together, PLEASE CARE!

Chistianbook.com will sell your product that they don't have! Then, while you are waiting for your product, they will send you a notice if they don't have it and tell you a future date when your product can be in and then update it again to a further future. After a year of waiting, I canceled my order. Extremely disappointing.
THIS WAS NOT A ONE TIME OCCURRENCE! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!
After my bank declined the transaction, the company continued to charge my card until it was processed. The book was then sent to the wrong address ( my billing address) when I called to get assistance, the CSR " Julian" explained that it was my fault and I should double check next time.
I used to order from here and never had an issue. I don't know if they've changed management/ownership/etc, but my last order was ridiculous. I ordered 11/30/18 and everything was available. (Which was good because some items were Christmas presents). I received one partial box and then that's when things magically became back ordered. It was one item here, one there that came. Many of my "presents" after Christmas. Had I been told before, I wouldn't have continued the order. You're probably wondering why I'm writing this review so late. One of my items is STILL ON BACKORDER! NINE MONTHS ON BACKORDER! I finally just emailed and said forget it. Got the usual canned response from customer service. Doesn't make me want to order again. I MIGHT give them a second chance because I do like their products but anyone ordering keep that in the back of your mind that you might never get your item or get it on time. The only good was I wasn't charged.
Christian Books.com has completely unethical customer service. People who pick up the phone have no respect for customers and are extremely rude. I placed 50 copies of training materials on early Monday and paid extra for two days' shipment. After the order was set, I called to confirm everything was correct, and the guaranteed shipment after two days would be Wednesday. After two days, I received an email stating that 30 copies of my order had partially shipped and the rest 20 copies will be deliver on July 4 (i. E., after three weeks.). I called and spoke to a person named Chris, a person of extreme disregard for customer service. Chris declined to return the extra payment I have made for the expedited shipment. He said the two-day expedite shipment starts when the order has shipped, NOT the date the order has been placed. I had never heard of such expedited delivery before. My order was for Sunday School teachers' training over the weekend. Chris said you could cancel the order and go elsewhere if you want. I had never had such disrespectful customer service, which was very disappointing.
I placed an order which was in stock (resurrection eggs) for Easter. FIVE DAYS LATER and too late to order something else for the kids to arrive in time for Easter, I received an email that the item was no longer in stock and unavailable... I would advise people to stay away from this site and order elsewhere. Can I post 0 stars?
Service was speedy and efficient. Books were in fabulous condition and will certainly be something I treasure.
I purchased The Amplified Version ( of The BIBLE) but, when I received THE "WORD", while checking ( my new? BOOK), I was surprised that the first pages(s) were a little torn! So, I submitted that problem to The Company & I received my quick response & my Blest report: Another BIBLE will be given 2 me, free of cost but! No need of returning The other BIBLE ( slightly distorted) to The Company... yeah! &! I received my new BIBLE on my BirthDay! (05.24.1951)... Praise! THE " LORD"!
Currently I'm getting spam emails from Christianbook.com every day. I did not sign up with them for emails. May I say, this is not a Christian way to treat people.
I ordered a single bible last AUGUST and its past 2 months now and STILL NO ORDER ARRIVED! They didn't provided a tracking number for my order. How can that be possible?! I even emailed the customer service and they told me to wait 7weeks for the replacement are you f#<%ing kidding me?! All they want to do is lure the customers into big discounts and after you swipe your credit then bye bye!
