Do not ever stay at a Choice Hotel! We reserved rooms in SC for a race. We went to hotel before race and were told rooms were not ready. Went back to check in after the race and we were told rooms were no longer available. To top it off I was charoged for room that was given to someone else. I have been fighting with them since Sept 2019 for reimbursement of room. They keep telling me that check is in mail. "Bull!". It is now December 2019 and still no reimbursement! I will never stay in Choice Hotel ever again, even if my life depends on it!
The easiest points system to get a free night in a hotel. The motels are generally clean and well maintained. I would avoid the bottom tier such as Rodeway and Econolodge. Sleep Inn and Comfort motels I have found to be a good value.
Breakfast is generally cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit and sometimes eggs. A good value
As soon as I entered my email and info to book a stay, I began receiving over 70+ spam emails and calls a day. I immediately canceled my reservation after looking at terrible reviews. I will be keeping a close eye on my debit card...
Jesus the reviews are ridiculous!
The hotel condition is not bad it's just that firstly, people have to be living on first floor here. We arrived nobody there but we're given a second floor room. No elevator. Processed smell throughout hotel. About 3:00am were awoken by truck with loud exhaust. Guy was in truck for 30 minutes then left but returned around 4am. Someone living there making a drug run? Remember this is rock hill.
Breakfast was all processed food. Waffle machine CLOGGED but front desk fixed and waffle was gross tasting. Took a prepackaged breakfast sandwich that was expired 2014. See photo. It smelled and tasted like body odor. Beds and rooms not bad but I would never stay here again
I have stayed in many motels in rapid city. Rodeway inn is byfar the nicest stay I have had. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. Scott and Christina are so nice and easy going. The manager Chuck makes sure to always do what he can to make sure the guests have a great stay. The motel is clean and quiet. All around this is my first choice anytime I need a motel.
Acct. ******* Comfort Inn (VT023) on 8/19/17 to 8/20/17
Bathroom sink not cleaned, toilet seat and bowel not cleaned 8/20/17. Very cold in room. Could not get any heat. Handy cap bath tub is terrible! Tub so high impossible to get in and take a shower! Accident waiting to happen. Will not stay here again.
Comfort inn on Federal in Denver Co. 11-20 2022. First the price went up over 100$ because bronco raidergame, the jacquizzi didn't work, there was black hairs in tub and shower, curtains not hung, sticky red stuff in shower, toilet paper holder broke, sink stopper broke, fixtures on sink and tub loose, window rotting, and it smelled horrible. At 9 pm could get no help. It sucked and was horrible. Will never stay there again!
You put dates in and submit to conformation and all the sudden your dates change to the day you're on. If not paying attention you end up paying for a room that no one used and are forced to pay a second time as you're 100's of miles from home. The hotel says contact them, they say contact the hotel. Meanwhile you are rerouted from person to person who are friendly but steadfast in either "its not my department" or " Call the owner of the hotel". You type in corporate contact info and low and behold Choice is listed. I will eat the money I am out but I will be a monkey's uncle if they think I am paying a second time. Thanks Choice and quality Inn in Pensacola for a lesson earned.
I stayed in Choice Hotels the multiple times the past two summers to get their rewards. Both summers I did not get my rewards. I called Choice hotels several times and each time had to walk through my stays during the promotional period and each time I was assured that I would get my rewards but they never came. I will never stay in a Choice Hotel again and If anyone asks I will give them the worst review possible.
Comfort Inn in Great Falls, Montana. This room was lacking in comfort: the bathroom was unfinished lacking an air vent, towel bar and tissue dispenser. The coffee pot was dirty, Eeewww! Way too much $$$ for a room under construction. Was not told the room was incomplete.
Choice privileges is horrible. They give you the run around and don't solve any of your issues. They never have a supervisor available and the representatives never solve your issues. This is a horrible company. I'll never spend another dime here and you shouldn't either. The headache isn't worth it. Overpriced for the service they provide!
I did a reservation thru the app. Middle of my reservation they asked me to verify my email and then took me back to finish my reservation. I should of double checked my dates but I didn't after verifying my email and noticed after my confirmation the dates were wrong. I was in the phone for two hours with three different numbers to fix my reservation instead they took my money and the points I was using and said it expired and couldn't cancel. I was in the phone for two hours directly after I noticed my confirmation was wrong asked for a manager and they put me in hold and never came back on the line. I tried for two hours now I lost my reservation my money and my points and they didn't help me told me there was nothing they could do. So wrong I called 2 minutes after my reservation was wrong. The worst customer service I have ever experienced they just laughed. How can they get away with this.
Terrible! So bad I wouldn't use! Customer service lies to people. Was told I was getting enough points to use for 1 night stay due to an issue with the app that caused be to be charged, however that was a lie. When I called I kept getting the run around. Still trying to get it resolved and still getting the run around.
Choice hotels needs to up their vetting game when it comes to the hotels they allow in their family. Just stayed at Quality Inn in St Ignace, MI the one on 561 boulevard st to be exact. What a $#*! hole. Mold on the walls, bathroom fan busted, moldy old AC unit, hair in the sheets, rooms and hallways never vacuumed. I mean does the staff even know how to operate a vacuum?
Choice Hotels needs to STEP UP THEIR GAME. Best Choice Hotels could do was give us points. Yeah great I'll be sure to use those points to buy a $#*!ing vacuum when I get to the hotel.
You need to be aware about a scam going around. I have booked two different reservations recently, at two different Choice locations. Each time I have received a call stating there was a problem with my credit card and they needed to verify the card number with me. They had a copy of my reservation with the last four numbers of my credit card and needed me to give them the full number to reinput or I would loose my reservation. I refused and called Choice direct and was told there was no problem with my reservation. If you receive such a call do not give out your card number. They have somehow hacked Choice's server. They even sent me a copy of the confirmation with my address and choice acct number on it. Be aware and be suspicious of these types of calls! I have since cancelled both reservations and will stay at a Hilton.
My spouse and I stayed 2 nights in January at the Choice Hotel at 7007 Grover in Omaha, NE.
We were beginning a group bus tour the first night. Front doors were not available. Had to enter from the back parking lot. No cable tv working in the entire hotel.
When we got ready to leave we requested a reservation for one night when we returned from the bus tour.
We returned and at the desk the clerk told us we had no reservation and the price of the room would be $20 more because the hotel was under new management. We decided to stay. The bathroom near the front desk had two issues, a broken sink and no running water. I went up to our room and there was a loud buzzing noice. I went back downstairs and 2 clerks went back up to this room and told me it was the main generator. They took me to another room and the buzzing sound was also annoying. Finally, they found a room that was noice free. The next morning we packed up and left. In the hallway as we were leaving our room were 2 policemen. When we returned home I realized my spouse had left his prescription glasses in the room. I called and the clerk said they were at the front desk. After a few phone calls a member of the staff said she would mail them to me and I told her I would reimburse her. No glasses. I have called Choice Hotels corporate office several times. They have told me the manager is always gone or unavailable. This manager, Deepak Thomas, does not seem to care about his customers.
I am a diamond member, besides not being recognized as a diamond member I continuously have to verify that points are properly accredited to my account. I have complained and I have never received a call or E Mail to rectify this situation, I have stayed over 400 times in the past 10 years and I come to the conclusion that choice doesn't value their members no matter what level they have attained.
If by chance your headed to Florida for bike week in Leesburg Florida, do yourself a favor and stay away from the Sleep Inn at Leesburg. Bed buggs and roaches the first night we got there. Along with fleas and many more problems. Again brothers and sisters do yourself a favor and stay away. You might want to also stay away from the comfort Inn down the road same employees
I made the terrible choice to stay at this hotel one night simply because of its proximity to where I needed to be. Not only did the hotel pretty much suck (dark, old, uninviting), I somehow how got subscribed to their whatever-it-is program AND THEY WILL NOT LET ME UNSUBSCRIBE! Calling their number doesn't work, and when I try to unsubscribe it either doesn't work (as I am still getting emails TWO YEARS LATER) or I get a "The email privacy preferences could not be updated at this time" message. (I include a screenshot. I did delete my email from the form as I don't feel comfortable posting it here!)
CHOICE HOTELS! If you see this, I beg you, LET ME UNSUBSCRIBE!
Their hotel through Fort Laurderdale FL wasn't the best but the company promised a refund due to how low the hotel was. The refund never came. We stayed back in February, it is not almost September. They keep blaming it on the Covid. I message them at least twice a month wanting my refund and it isn't even my full refund it is only partial. I will never book through Choice and I have informed everyone I know who travels to not book through them also. Horrible Company.
Answer: What hotel did you stay at? We just had the same thing happen to us at the Quality Inn in Gainsville, Texas.
