I ordered some pet supplies from Chewy for the first time and I am extremely impressed with them. The shipment came in only 3 days and when I had to cancel one of my orders not only did they do it without any issue, but they emailed me personally making sure everything was all set. I highly recommend this pet company.
I used to love Chewy but since Petsmart I am hesitant. Some of the selection from smaller less known food companies was eliminated or they chose not to work with Chewy.
Dr. Tim's grain free dog food's price was significantly increased. After research with Dr. Tim directly, who seemed surprised about the huge price increase on the largest bag, he later told me that since Chewy/Petsmart has no competition for the product, they will keep the price high. So much for being the same old company Chewy used to be...
If they are going to charge tax, maybe getting the food from another online supplier might be the next option.
Wow chewy has really gone downhill. Going to have to do my shopping elsewhere. They never contacted my vet like they claimed, they just pulled her prescription food from the order instead. They emailed me after I originally ordered to tell me instead of 2 days it would take 7-10 days. I've been on hold for over an hour trying to get this situation rectified but I'm done, this is ridiculous.
Recently, my orders to Charities have been requiring telephone verification. Chewy screwed up, then when I phoned, their employee Aishia, I think, talked over me, then hung up on me. MOST JUVENILE BEHAVIOR EVER. The next employee said she fixed the billing problem but didn't. I Cancelled my account and will use Amazon or Walmart.
Can't say enough good things about Chewy. Their product selection and customer service are fantastic and it's where I can consistently find products that I like for my dog that may be out of stock in other places. In the past, when I had a problem with an order delivery (not their fault), they were quick to replace it at no cost to me. I'm a Chewy customer for life!
Though their customer service is friendly and prompt, dealing with Chewy whenever there is a stocking issue, payment change, etc is an enormous, unnecessary headache. There's no excuse to tie up additional charges, however temporary, on a customer's account when exchanges (or simply the exact purchase, applied at a later date) or store credit could be used as an alternative option in the way that many retailers offer; particularly when it is a result of inconveniences that, though understandable, are in no way the fault of the customer. It's happened twice to me under similar circumstances where Chewy insisted on cancelling orders and issuing refunds, despite seeming as though they were giving me the option, instead of just holding the order until the item is in stock, exchanging it, etc. It's a really a poor way of passing the buck and I'm over it.
I've been using Chewy for the last couple years which started when I first got my dog. I had a couple questions regarding dog food and customer service was so quick to reply. Not only did they answer my question but they asked me all about my new puppy.
On another occasion I needed to switch another pets food after just ordering a bag. No worries though, chewy just had me donate the unopened bag instead of returning it and sent me a refund.
I'm also that person who doesn't realize I'm out of food until the day before. But that's OK bc I place an order at 3 pm and the food is here the next day.
There is not enough good words for Chewy!
Chewy used to be a good place to order pet food and supplies from. However, within the past year or so, it has gone downhill drastically! Items are always out of stock, they send expired and spoiled food, the coupons advertised never work, false claims, etc. Plus shipping takes a week now and no longer the 2-3 days as they say. Be advised to stay away from this company!
I scoured the internet for 4 hours researching what type of food to get for my fur babies. I finally found a brand I liked, Merrick, for our new pup and 3 cats. Ordering from Chewy was super easy and they have great auto ship customization feature.
I'm not the kind of person that likes to write reviews but this company deserve that. The customer service and the products are outstanding. I've been using "Chewy" around one year ago and I just had good experience. O highly recomend it!
Came home to these lovely flowers ~ I have no words, they are from Chewy.com.
I contacted them after Sain's passing as we had auto ship and I had just purchased medication. They refunded the medications they could (can't refund prescriptions), plus told me to keep it.
I don't know if you've had good, bad or any experiences with Chewy, but to say mine have been nothing but positive!
Chewy to me have the great customer service: their employees are kind and understanding. They deliver quite fast too. I ordered a parcels like four days ago and it's already delivered and my next order is being processed as we speak. Thanks chewy for being the best.
They have more of the basic items for dogs than ever before and speedy delivery. Can cat food that usually is price gouged on Amazon or not available. Fancy feast fish and shrimp flaked is now available at chewy and reasonably priced
I love this place. Fast, free shipping and always had my brands in stock. The auto reorder & delivery was so handy, I didn't have to think about it. And no carrying those heavy bags!
But most telling, my beautiful dog died right after I received an $80 order. I went online to cancel the auto order/delivery, and they expressed grief, and refunded my entire bill! Told me to donate the food to local animal rescue.
God bless this business!
My 14-year-old dachshund, Louie, passed away due to diabetes and finally with blindness. Just prior to his death, I ordered a large supply of diabetic canned and dry dog food. When I asked the vet if the humane society would take the supplies, they told me to call Chewy for a refund which they promptly deposited into my bank account. Three days later a florist delivered a vase of fresh-cut flowers and a sympathy card. Customer service and empathy over and above-------Thank you Chewy

If I could give no stars I would! This company has the worst customer service! I needed to get my dogs heart medicine and after the RX being mailed and faxed twice they still never got it! Spoke with 6 representatives all gave me wrong information. If your animal needs medication to live DO NOT trust this company!
I love online shopping, but I never thought a large bag of dog food would be on my list. But the price is the same as if I were to drive to petco or petsmart and pick it up myself. Shipping is free at Chewy and they have an auto ship schedule that you can adjust and don't have to worry about anything. It's great.
I've been purchasing various products from Chewy for well over 2 years now. The prices are terrific, shipping is fast, and the customer service is nothing short of exceptional. I've made changes to orders, returned items, and their customer service always exceeds my expectations. I've even received a personal, handwritten Holiday card for the past two years. Give this wonderful company a try. You will not be disappointed.

I live off grid and decided to try and order all my feed and livestock products online saving a 60 mile trip as s fedex and ups delivers daily. Ordered $100 worth of feed. $75 in products to see how long it took to ship and arrive. Now just one week later everything has increased 30%. I did not use any coupons. Bought strictly from the prices shown. Well for 30% I will not save anything on a $250 per month feed order. Even gas@ $3.69/gal. I will just make that a trip and buy 5 months of feed and pay what I was paying which is more than they prices it but will save in the long run. Also one of my feeds have still not shipped 5 days later which isn't going to work. Chewy just lost another customer. Support your local farm stores even if it cost more cause they normally won't just stick it too you kn 5 days. You will get a warning on price increases!
First off they have great prices and super fast shipping! The reason I am so impressed by chewy.com though is... I ordered the wrong item and when I contacted them to make an exchange they issued a refund immediately and then instead of making me ship it back (which I was willing to pay for since it was my mistake) they asked me to simply donate it to a local animal shelter or rescue! How awesome is that? A shining example of good customer service in a world where it seems many places seem to have forgotten what that means.
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.
Answer: Because they make it a point to lie and deceive their customers... I will NEVER use them again!
Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
Answer: Because they have free shipping over $49. It is FREE OVER $49.
