The AIRLINE cancelled my daughter return flight, I filed for a refund, then I went to check on it and it says that I'm not eligible. Of course, the airline states they are refunding Cheapo Air for the flight, so looks like they are simply pocketing MY cash. I am not the only one either, check out their Facebook comments, the CEO should be in jail for theft. I initially attempted to change my flight instead of a refund, but of course they have no customer service reps to do it, because this company does not have ANY customer service reps during the COVID-19 issue at all. No one is home. The chat is merely ridiculous bots. What the hell did this company do with the 50 million it made, that they can't afford to hire work at home reps? I will be reporting this company to the States Attorney, then they can pay me and their lawyers when I sue them in small claims court.
This terrible company is using COVID-19 epidemic like an excuse to steal money from customer. I will never book anything through this site again. I called many times but nobody is answering the phones. I bought an insurance to change the tickets but still I had to pay $70 just to cancel the tickets. I did not cancel the tickets the tickets where cancelled by the airline. Cheapoair is taking advantage of people like me. They already charged me $30 for the service +$40 for the insurance +$70 for the cancellation. No customer service, no explanations. They never responded to phone, chat or email to assist me.
TERRIBLE CUSTOM SERVICE. This company has shut down their call centers altogether, the only way to contact anyone is via chat which takes hours and hours before reaching anyone. Cheapoair is capitalizing on this covid-19 epidemic. For anyone who values their time and money... do not book any travel with CheapOair! During this crazy time with COVID-19, this site is charging a $70 fee to cancel a flight and only issuing future credits, no refunds. Buyer beware. I will never book anything with this site again
During the pandemic, I booked with Cheapoair, and I have booked with them before and all went well except this time. They advised me a change to my travel itinerary was coming, but I was to drive 9 hours to Bangkok and catch my ANA flight. On my own I found out the flight was cancelled by ANA. I tried a hundred times to phone, email, Sears my flight and could get nowhere. Worse even though they advise of a up coming change my search could not locate my booking. To this day I have never been advise as to the cancelled flight. Air Canada rebooked me, applying the previous fare to the new one. Book with the Air Lines directly is my advice.
Called customer service and was put on hold for over an hour only to have them hang up on me. I then tried the online chat and waited for over two hours for them to say they are not processing cancellations even though the flight has changed multiple times. Cheapoair will still charge me a service fee even though I now have to contact each airline to cancel each leg of my trip. Ridiculous.
Very unprofessional. Two weeks ago I sent them an inquiry requesting for advice on my reservation. Then after 8 days, I received an email telling me that they have canceled my booking though I never requested nor mentioned any cancellation. Later I had to pay around $900 as a fee of rebooking though the airline company was offering that change free of charge. In order to reach their agents, you need to wait on the chat queue for hours. Worse, Today when my turn came for the agent "Whitney" I only received the automated welcome message and the agent disconnected on me so I had to wait another round on the chat queue.
My flight was canceled. No email, no text, nothing. I tried to call, they only serving customer whos flight within 24 hrs.
Good thing that I had enough money to buy a ticket back home with another company. I understand that it's a hard time for everybody, but they have enough resources to send emails with advertisements every hour. Will never use their service again.
After waiting over 5 hours to chat with someone on the chat, the rep 'stalled' the conversation out and quit responding to my questions. I paid for travel protection and the rep said I needed to talk to insurance company. I asked for a supervisor and the chat stopped.
"Marty" was the rep and stopped being helpful when I asked for the full refund. Don't waste your time or money with this company!
I have been trying to contact them for the last 3 weeks. After hours of trying I managed to get them to ask for my hotel to be cancelled. This was 2 weeks BEFORE my trip. They said they couldn't cancel it without contacting their 3rd Party, but assured me that they would cancel it. Called them twice, same type of reply. 4 days before the trip, they all went offline. I called Crown Plaza NYC and was told that they have not received the cancellation and couldn't cancel it without hearing from cheapo. I cannot contact anyone there. This is fraud. I managed to cancel the flights on my own by calling the airlines. No help at all from cheapo. Please DO NOT BUY FROM THEM EVER!
Ok, got a call back from Gowin of Cheapoair last week, apologizing and telling me that he would resolve the issue for me within 7 days. He did in fact call me back 7 days later and confirmed that I would get my refund back for the Hotel and would have credit with them for the flights cancelled. He was very helpful. Definitely someone who was able to make decisions. Kudos to Gowin. Thank you very much for getting back to me and resolving the issue. I will however, probably never attempt to go through another 3rd Party again. Lesson learned.

I purchased a ticket through them from Edinburgh to London a few weeks ago. The flight got cancelled and I wasn't even warned (unrelated to corona). They didn't even BOTHER TO send an email to notify me of the cancellation, nor did they provide a subsitute ticket! Instead I got a " We hope you are excited for your trip to London!" email.
I got to the airport as planned, and when I learned the flight cancellation news on the spot, I was forced to purchase a last minute ticket to London as I had an international connecting flight I couldn't miss. After this incident, I wrote to cheapoOair MULTIPLE TIMES to ask for refunds. No one answered me. I called, sent reminders-NOTHING! This is unacceptable-don't ever make the same mistake I did! This agency refuses to take responsiblity for its actions

I can't beleve in the middle of a pandemic they will not refund airfares. The government says not to travel but I can only get a voucher for future travel and was charged 25 bucks a ticket to do this. Had 3 people booked to go to Hawaii. Hawaii does not want visitors and are making people flying in to go into 14 day lockdown., but apparently cheopoair thinks we should still go. I will never pour haste from them again.

CheapOair has non-existent customer service. Considering that after being on hold for over an hour multiple times, you would believe that eventually you will be able to speak to a live person. However, that is not the case. After being on hold over an hour, they disconnect the call. I am beyond frustrated with this company and just want a full refund due to the COVID-19 situation. The destination flight is canceled due to the airport being closed to passenger flights due to COVID-19, but my connecting flight is still active. I do not want to be screwed over by not getting a full refund. I did not anticipate any of these travel restrictions bring put into place when I booked the ticket. I will never use CheapOair again in the future. They have lost me as a costumer after using them for many years to book tickets. I have also filed a complaint with BBB. Please just give me a full refund!
This has been the worst experience I have ever had. Cant get ahold of anyone, then they lied to me. Straight up lied. I would recommend you DO NOT BOOK through Cheapoair! Dont bother to request a call back. They never call, i requested a call back 3 or 4 times on a time sensitive matter but bc they never got back with me now I am screwed for what I wanted.

Booking my flight experience was awesome, because company is charging money for that, but once it comes to refunds (due to Covid-19), I have been put on hold for several hours, I can not do refunds via emails. Just calling is an option. Agents are available if you want to make a new booking but in case of refund or rescheduling, no one picks up the call. I even called them by choosing the option that I want to make a new booking, agents picked up my call but as I told them my issue, they transferred my call to an unknown department and then I kept on waiting... waiting. Waiting. And after 1 hour 6 minutes phone automatically got disconnected stating that number you have dialed does not exist. How is this even possible as I already waited for more than an hour. I need a solution not sympathy. I will again write a review related to what steps you took after my concern. I have attached the photos of different numbers called by me without any answer

I'm writing this review during this whole corona virus outbreak in which they have shut down almost all businesses, shut down flights abroad, and soon will probably shut down everything else. Well we were planning on going to Florida but the concert got canceled, beaches are closed, restaurants & bars are closed, etc. I decided to call the airlines to get a refund on tickets We Have "Insurance" on. Well they said they do not wish to give us a refund even though we had insurance and gave them multiple valid reasons we no longer can go. Waited on a chat for over 12 HOURS (I'm not joking) and the guy told me to call a number (that was disconnected) or to text "whatsapp" (lol which is unprofessional) and speak to someone on there? Well when all of this is over and we start traveling again I will know to NEVER book through this website or spirit again. I will continue to share my experience as well. Shows how much they care about their customers
We booked a ticket to go from Wellington-Sydney-Xiamen China on 15/3/2020 but then of course it was cancelled due to Coronavirus outbreak. We were promised to get a full refund of the original purchase price (about $802 AUD). When no money was received after a reasonable time, we followed up and then in early March about $22.76 NZD was received finally. We rang their USA number and were passed around 3 or departments and waited all together for over an hour so we had to hang up in the end. We did online chat with them today and were given a different US number to ring. When we rang, as soon as our booking number was keyed in, the line was cut off! We tried the other US numbers we can find online, after the first ring, we were cut off straightaway! So we tried their Australian number, we were not cut off but waited for more than 30 minutes and the message kept saying someone will answer shortly but it still wasn't answered after 30 minutes - we got no choice but hang up.
VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED with their service! I am convinced now CHEAPOAIR cannot be trusted with your booking or money!
Needed to name changes to an existing reservation. Tried to call and got busy signals or blank tone. Sent email and 4 days later have not received a response. Have tried 'chat" online and have been holding 5 hours and not one yet. Not worth the few dollars in savings to have terrible customer service. With the Coronavirus it is unusual circumstance3s and I presume they are swamped but to be ignored for days is not acceptable. I will never book with them again. Wasn't even asking for a refund just a voucher to rebook next year. No replies! *******, *******
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
