Very disappointed and would advise to stay away from this site. We booked a R/T ticket and thought okay as advised on site that we could cancel at no charge within 24 hours. What was not clear, is they will still charge you their service fee of $50 per ticket. We canceled within 30 minutes, but they still get $100 for doing basically nothing at all. Had to wait on hold for 30 minutes, they cancelled within 5 mins. What a rip off!
I used this company to attempt to book a domestic airline flight. My ticket was still "pending" after 24 hours. Then the company called me and asked me to send them a photo of the front of my credit card (which I did not.) They then sent an email saying my credit card was from a foreign account (it is not) and told me I would need to send a birth certificate and ID. I did neither of those things, and instead called the company and told them to cancel the flight I had not even received a confirmation for yet. They still charged me a $50 cancellation for a service they never actually provided (I never received confirmation of any flight.) Furthermore, this company was very obviously trying to scam me into giving them personal information which could be used fraudulently.
This is a scam group please don't use it. They will book a flight for you once you get to your destinations, they will cancel the flight. Sydney will charge you an additional fare to get home. This whole organization is a scam don't use it unless you wanna pay $3000 like I did white should be $1500.
I purchased tickets for a trip to Seattle a couple months in advance. Then the **airline** changed the flight number, and I was charged a $25 change fee. I called the travel agency, but was told, "nope, doesn't matter who makes the change." Just wow! I will never book another flight through these guys. :(

They have non existent customer service. Tried reaching them about an issue and could not reach anyone after 5 tries and holding ridiculously long lengths of time. Totally unacceptable. Found out my ticket does not allow me to pick seats. Very disappointed and do not recommend using them. Customer Service should be a top priority as well as customer satisfaction but not with them.
If you want to lose your patience, health and money please do business with this company. If you like yourself just a little bit, look elsewhere. If it looks too good to be true is because is not good.
After I book my fight ticket on Sunday at 11:28AM they cancel the tickets because they couldn't get hold of me. My shift at work stared on Monday at 6:15AM and ended at 5:45PM during my work I do not have access to my cell phone nor email. This company did not have the decency to wait for me to be available to confirm the details and just cancel my entire trip. Is this right? What kind of society are we building?

Paid extra for the premium travel assist. Been on hold for over an hour despite claims that you get to skip the wait with this add on purchase. The seat the sold me on a United flight shocking can't have an infant lapseat added onto it. It's considered changing the reservation which is a $160 dollar fee. Stay away.
I was seeking an Economy Flight through Spirit Airlines, which I've been using for the past year. In fact I used Spirit last week. I made a reservation at 8:55 this morning, then learned that my departure location had to be changed due to a scheduling matter for an event I am to attend. The reservation was for June 2nd. My round trip was to be arriving and departing from LAX. Changes in scheduling required me to arrive in Burbank.
I attempted to change the arrival three hours after the reservation was made. I was on hold for nearly AN HOUR. When the agent came on, he was using far too many words to address my issue, and I lost patience. Since I wasn't satisfied, I asked for a Supervisor and was put on hold. I called again, this same agent answered immediately and said no Supervisors were available. Do they have any? Then I got an Email acknowledging the cancellation of the Reservation, but there was an "Agent's " fee of $50.00 charged for a cancellation made in less than 24 hours.
All I wanted to do was change the arrival airport. I even asked about making a new reservation to accommodate these changes. The agent seemed unable to do this, or unwilling and would not listen to my inquiry and wanted to control the dialogue. I later realized that this outfit operates out of India.
Once upon a time, airlines had Customer Service people who could handle simple matters such as this. But I keep forgetting that this was in the last century and we are in the 21st where the attitude is take people's money without regard to the customer. These are among the reasons why air travel is such a chore. As for Star Ratings they don't deserve one.
I book flight with insurance and platinum service for $5171$ for three people. I have to go home for memorial. After confirming flight and price they charged me extra $270. I was waiting for over hour for service so I can cancel. Of course they say we will but I was firm to get email with the refunding amount. Please don't use this company. Poor customer service from agents providing false information just to complete a sale. I was advised my itinerary included 1st checked bag free for round trip but when got my ticket, I discovered it was not the case. When I tried to call back, I was put on hold for almost an hour however when calling for a new booking the response is within less than a minute. Once I was able to speak to someone I was advised that it was a website glitch. If I did not take to make a decision. If I did not take the time to review tickets details It would have been worse for me. Information should be available upfront for clients to make a sound decision.
Airline changed their schedule. These crooks charged me $100 to reissue a ticket I had no control over. I did not request the change. Impossible to contact their customer service. I was on hold over an hour and then the call was disconnected.

Don't trust their website because the information you see on it is not correct at all! I bought round trips tickets to Paris from LAX and have double checked several times on its website that the checked bag for both trips are free meaning it was included in the amount I have paid. However, when I was checking in at the airport in Paris, I was told that my checked bags are not included and I had to pay additional $200.00 for 2 bags for 2 people. This is ridiculous because I have taken a screenshot of the information stating on their website that it's FREE and showed them as proof in the email complaining to get my money back but they completely refused to understand and refused to take responsibility. Their customer service is super horrible they didn't even try to help the customers at all. So I lost $200.00 because I believed in what I have seen on their website saying the checked luggages are free and it's not. Please don't trust anything they claim on their website and don't buy any tickets from them because it can cause you to lose money like I did. Cheapfareguru is a liar! Please go buy tickets somewhere else!

Jetblue cancelled the first leg of our trip...CheapFareGuru then gave us an option that would have made us miss our connecting flight - by HOURS!
So when I told them that would not work, they sent me another option...not a good one, but what choice did I have when the airline cancelled the original flight I had booked?
Then come the ridiculous charges for "Ticket re-issue" - $150 ($75/per person) + the $46 booking fee that I already paid the first time!
Rip off artists! There is no reason to charge people when their flights get cancelled - the airlines don't charge them, but they charge a hefty fee!
Don't be lured in by their low price deals like I was, it's not worth it and you will probably pay a lot more in the end - like we did!
Oh, and if you DO have to try to get ahold of them - good luck! I was on hold for an hour waiting to speak to someone. And all they said was, it's our policy.

Cheap Fare Guru has to be the worst air ticker issuing company I have encountered. The minute they were informed about a credit due I was put on hold for 45+ minutes. A new ticket was not given because "the time has expired to issue a new ticket." However, I was told that I could ask America Airlines for the credit.
If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. They deserve -1 star. Take my advice do NOT deal with

Please guys if you do not to be scam in an ugly way do not book never ever with them. They are no professional and they lie you about the tickets calling you later and telling you that the airline company canceled your flight and you need to pay again the fee.

We purchased a ticket with insurance and this company sent us several updates with changes in our tickets; when we called requesting to let us change the dates, the representative told us that they were unable to make changes. This is a lie, they made already several changes and they could not help us when we needed? I have tried to contact them several times before writing this review!
How or where do I report this company for scamming people of their money. Had to cancel due tickets due to a family emergency, tried calling multiple times to get the flight rebooked, just kept telling that either seats are not available or asking exonerable price. Poor customer service. Hold for several hours. Can US Govt ban this company so innocent customers are not affected.
