THE WORST
October 21, 2019

This search engine is the $#*!ing worst! First off, Cheap Fare Guru's 24/7 customer service phone # does not even work! So you do some digging and actually find a phone # that does. With this # you are placed on hold for HOURS only for someone to answer the phone, ask how they may help you, and instantaneously place you BACK on hold for HOURS! The BBB needs to shut this very shady business down! IMMEDIATELY! The $#*!ing worst!

PLEASE NEVER use CheapFairGuru. I booked, paid for, and had a confirmation for an international round trip ticket. I found out while checking in that they had cancelled my booking because THEY HAD FALSELY advertised the cost and chose on their own to not honor it. When I called to discuss the problem I was treated rudely by an agent who yelled at me. They had sent 1 email notifying me of their decision days after their confirmation -while I was traveling and away from any email contact. They claim this was my fault. BEWARE!

Paid extra for cancellation/changes and they told me that I could not change. Upon calling they told me that I only had 24 hrs. When I asked why I paid extra for cancellation they kept telling me only 24 hrs. I told them there was a 24 hr cancellation before the extra fee they just kept just saying 24 hrs. I wished I had looked at the reviews prior. NEVER AGAIN!

Don't go with website

This is very horrible. Long long long waiting time if you want to talk about the existing booking. Agents are so rude and no care or respect on customers. Hours and hours waiting time and if connected after that, then also with out any notice they will keep us again waiting queue. Then again we have to wait for hours and hours.

Please dont go with this.

They sold me tickets for international flights with itinerary clearly indicating my baggage was included in the tickets price. Carrier told me I have to pay for baggage. As result of our conversation I had to pay for my bags plus I was late for my flight and had to buy my new ticket twice more expensive.
At the end everything was my fault according to this company representatives.
I would not recommend anybody booking tickets with those people

I purchased tickets through cheapfareguru on August 1st. I have been trying to chat with them and call them for DAYS! I was never given an option to select my seat. I am leaving Monday. Anyway, I called today and someone actually answered the phone. It was a guy who barely spoke english, and the english he spoke was incomprehensible. When I asked him twice to repeat what he was saying, HE HUNG UP ON ME! So I called again and got another guy who, once again, barely spoke any english and what he did speak was indecipherable. Finally after about 3 minutes, I surmized he was telling me I needed to select my seats on the cheapfareguru website. WRONG! There is nowhere that even suggests that I can do this. And their website doesn't have a search so I can't search for an answer. So I called back. I have been on hold for more than 40 minutes. No one is answering. So while on hold I tried their chat 3 seperate times. And guess what. NO ONE IS RESPONDING TO ME! I regret going through this agency. I should have used travelocity which is who I normally use. My flight leaves in two days, and I have not been given the opportunity to select my seat. After this trip I will NEVER use this company ever again. I wish I would have read the reviews first because apparently many others are having the same or similar issues.

I'm paying to fly two other people round trip, date doesn't matter at all. There was a phone number on the website to call for help in booking so I just now called it. Some guy sounding like he just got off the boat from India answered the phone. I asked him for help finding two round trip tickets and named the two cities. I had to tell him twice before he got the cities right. Then he asked what date of travel. I replied the specific date doesn't matter to me, I want the cheapest tickets and his response was to hang up on me. I will never ever use this service again. I hope he got paid commission on sales.

Worst money stealers

This company is such a scam. They charged $150 as refund processing fee in addition to the $300 airline fee. But on call they mentioned that $450 was total airline charges but nothing that they charge. They are very rude on call and show attitude for stealing others money. For any inquiry, the minimum wait time is 30min my busier than airline customer call centers itself. Given an option, I would give an absolute negative rating for this company.

See Above. Would never try to book with them again. Eventually had to go directly to the
Airline I was flying with, the SAME DAY AS THE FLIGHT. Never was able to discuss the
Issue with CheapFare directly. The reason they have cheap fares is that they don't have
Any employees to pay for customer service, or for any other service at their company.

In Jan 2019, I book a flight through this worst website. While booking it was showing the Singapore Airlines. When I actually went to Airport, it was through Scoot Tiger Air. I never had issues with flight booking. This was my first nightmare. When I was about to check in my bag. I was told they only allow by Kgs. I mention to them that Singapore Airlines does allow to suit cases around 50 Pd per suitcase. However, this was not the Singapore Airlines, this was Scoot. I already had an injury on my foot, I was an active duty service member and after doing tons of paperwork. I finally had this leave approved. However, thanks to this company starting of my vacation was horrible and the charges that Scoot was asking me to pay for another Suitcase was SuperCrazy.

I can say I travel a lot and for the first time I booked my vacation with this horrible company. At first it looked like a great deal until we found out that bags were not included onde they placed us on a special ticket used for Europeans only, NO LUGgAGe, now thing about traveling 2 weeks in Europe with 2 kids and the wife, and having to pay $120 euros per bag per leg, that goes $1000 euros, not to mention the customer service which was horrible and unprofessional! I hope authorities are on top of it, these are bad people doing bad business in the US...

Second time using CFG. Prices were lower than competitors' (several didn't even have the flight listed) and much better than the airline. Process online is a bit cumbersome but navigable. Customer service chat line is excellent. Overall a very positive experience once again.

I purchased tickets for $940,00, the price was $300.00 less than everyone else. About 10 minutes after purchasing the tickets I get a phone call from them saying to change my flight because there is not enough time to get to your second flight, they wanted $75,00, when I told them I was ok with the flight I purchased, they continued to try and sell me another flight, I had to hang up on them. Then I checked their reviews and all their reviews are bad. I had to purchase the travel assist from them for $12.95 to get my money back. They have people in California calling, to make it look like they are from the USA. You can check it and see they are from India.

Poor customer service

I book a ticket with these guys on 4/26. On 4/29 I looked at the e-ticket confirmation and noticed the arrival and departure times were backwards from what I thought that I hade purchased. They said my tickets was non cancelable and non refundable. After spending over an hour on hold, the said they would make the changes but it would cost $128.00 on top of the $177.61 already spent. I reluctantly accepted the offer. I expected a charge of $128 on my credit card. Checking my credit card account todday I was billed $305.61. I called again today, was on hold for more than an hour. They said it was the airlines who placed the pending hold charge, which is an outright lie. I wanted them to fix the issue and was told that it will fix itself within 4 - 6 business days. I had asked the agent on the 29th to process the new charge while I was on line and was told that he couldn't it, it would be done later in the day. Finally got to speak to a supervisor, who told me he would let me cancel the ticket and get a refund of all but $50. I told him I was not going to do that. To add insult to injury, I called the airline and I could buy this same ticket for $222. So I have learned my lesson. Don't go through the sites like cheapfareguru. Go to the airlines first. I am a 100% disabled vet and this air fare is to get me to the VFW National Convention. I will have a very large audience, probably 20,000 people. But that's not the end, you don't get to speak with someone in the USA. Spend a lot of time asking the agent to repeat what he said.

It is fraudulent, I was booking ticket, as payment processed, pop up came, hiding booking details and force me to review first without knowing anything about their service.
As payment processed, received email where they demanded to send credit card copies of BOTH SIDES, plus copy of passport, which is not acceptable.
Payment had transferred but never got booking reference. We were waiting for them to wake up so that we can call & talk to find out the solution, but then never took the call, ring and hold for hours.
I did not get the booking details, I contacted to Air Canada and they provided me booking reference, but later next day, Cheapfareguru.com canceled our flight because I did not provide them both sides of credit card copies, which I never provide to anyone.
Asking for credit card copies of Both side is clearly fraud and illegal, I was stopped by my bank and Air Canada which proved as well that never provide copies to anyone as I can lose all my money.

Within 24 hours, they canceled my booking (which is free by airline) because I did not provide them both sides of credit card copies and deducted $50 service free. Cheap method of earning $50.
So what they do, they usually cancel the booking within 24hours and charge $50 if they do not get both sides of credit card copies, if you will provide them card copies, they will have Full credit card details which can be sell much more than $50. Please be careful.
Seems like they are collected credit card copies and misusing or selling in Dark Web.
I have raised the dispute with my bank/visa not for $50 but such unethical practice/black mailing, they are fraud and they should be banned/fined.

I called it to ask 6 digit confirmation number to book an infant ticket they kept on neglecting from 5 days finally they call me and say it's around 700$ to add infant to the ticket as there are no seats left in flight it's a fraud website

This people are faking the advertisement, since one month showing last 7 ticket are remaining, that is completely fraud, Airline shows 100 tickets are available, Secondly when you start booking with them they will take your credit card information and will ask you hold please then suddenly they will tell you price change and charge you more if you like to change or cancel they will charge huge cancellation fee. They advertise $19.99 only for change, cancellation within 24 hours that is also fraud, they charge $ 100. We called several time to change still they cancel the ticket and charged us $ 100. They have fake other website called "Last minute deals"same cheat and fraud Indian group. They do not care if you complaint because they are not a registered agency or company, they are the cheating group charging money in the name of EROS TOURS AND TRAVEL "
Never ever will buy from them. Better to buy ticket directly from Airline office.

Reasons not to buy from here: 1) customer service is crap - Service reps are impossible to understand due to accent. When I politely said "pardon me" he would reply in a very frustrated tone. 2) long wait to finally complete transaction - It took at least 45 minutes for a customer service response on the computer only for them to say we'll call, then wait another 30 minutes. They call and then say they want to do a 3 way call to verify your credit card number. While on the phone with the credit card company they loose the connection. We had to start again! 3) pressured to sign an agreement they email while on 3 way call so no time to read - I come to find out that if I at any time have a dispute I agreed to waive my right to a challenge through the credit card company. 4) they add on a $19 BS fee - So I actually saw the same flight for $19 less on Kayak and they don't pull all the crap that this company does.Go elsewhere since there are so many other sites. I will never book from here again!

Booked a flight, the confirmation received is a different flight to the one I booked. The customer service reps wanted another $6k to change back to the original flight booked. Still on hold 34 mins later - do NOT use this site
