**BEWARE** Do not book with this company. We used the site to book a recent trip for 2 adults & 1 child. When we booked, we "booked" actual assigned seats. Unable to print boarding passes prior to arrival to the airport. Called the booking company, barely could understand due to the poor English of customer service! Finally understood enough that we had to wait until we arrived at the airport to get boarding passes. Once we arrived at the airport and checked in, all of our seats were all over the aircraft. Mind you, we have one child. When we told the young lady we had booked, "X Y & Z" seats. We were told we initially had those seats but the booking agency had "cancelled" those particular seats for us. Also, we paid $1200 for 3 airline tickets. But once at the airport, found out our tickets only cost $748. I guess the $350 difference was this website's commission. I called back to the booking company to ask about the price discrepancy. They were extremely rude. Only explanation "Mike" would give, was "We buy in bulk". When I explained that didn't make sense. That if they buy in bulk, then the cost of the tickets ahould have been cheaper than what the airline was offering. Not more! The next statement was "You don't understand how we do business". Yes, I do... it's BAD business! We will NEVER use this site again!

STAY AWAY

I have never experienced such horrific customer service as CheapBestFares.com. I booked my flight through this company, and received a call that night that I needed to call them to confirm information before my flight could be booked. I called the next morning and they told me that their system was down and would not work for the next 1-2 hours. They asked that I call them back then. I explained that I would be at work and would not have access to my phone for the next 8 hours, but that I could call that evening or tomorrow morning. While I was at work, I received an email that my flight had been cancelled. When I called 10 minutes later to work out the issue, they claimed that they had no proof that I had called them that morning and called me a liar. They said that it is my fault that I did not return their call (even though I did) and that there is no note in their system that I called. Of course there was no note in their system, as they claimed that their system was down that morning. Needless to say, I would never trust this company with booking my flights. I think I dodged a bullet that my flight got cancelled before I showed up at the airport for my flight and would most likely face errors at that point. If you want reliable service, do not book with cheapbestfares.com.

Booked tickets... got call to provide them with email copy of credit card and ID to verify purchase... refused and had flight cancelled. Called our credit card company to verify that cancellation and the agent laughed... no one should provide that info AND might even be illegal to ask for it... went direct to airline site. Booked same flights and cost was $100 more ( for 4 tix)

When checking in for my flight the itinerary and cost was provided by the airline for my review. I then realized I had paid Cheapbestfares 150% of the airline cost. Cheapbestfares' customer support (which is a misnomer) only talked over me instead of trying to explain what I was seeing. The 'manager', who I am sure was just the guy sharing the cubicle of the first agent I spoke to, did the exact same thing and recited the exact speech, as if reading a canned response. There was no one else who could speak to me and no address given to send a written complaint, The manager gave his name as Tristan O'Brien, which was comical since he was obviously from India. The airline-provided fare total was a fare I had hoped to buy from the airline originally but it had disappeared before I could purchase it. It appears cheapbestfares buys clumps of these cheap fares, thus filling the airline quota of seats at that fare, marks them up substantially and laughs all the way to the bank. The agents are rude an unprofessional and the organization is a rip-off. Avoid, avoid, avoid...

After getting the reservation notice they started approching me with urgent callback requests asking for fotocopies of passport and credit card. First they were claiming details are not visible, which is a straight lie. Later on they argued my documents are invalid, which is again a straight lie, and canceled my reservation. Just handed the case over to a lawyer. Its so anoying. Stay away!

Cancelled our reservation without even notifying us! I have never in my life experienced anything like this in my travels. We noticed that there was a refund for our transaction a couple days after our booking. When I called to find out wtf happened, I was told that it's their policy to make contact with the travelers in order to verify the booking (there was ZERO mention of this validation step in the entire booking process or the confirmation email we received, also I have never heard of such a policy in my life). They said they attempted to call both phone #s, left voicemails, and sent emails attempting to reach us. This is 100% false - neither of us had ANY calls in our logs, voicemails, or emails from them (after the initial email we got from the booking). They offered to rebook over the phone, but for significantly higher price, and said there were only 3 seats left. I was able to book directly through the actual airlines, for much better price, and could see there was plenty of seats on the flights. I can come to no other conclusion that this agency is downright fraudulent (incompetence doesn't explain it). I recommend that no one use this agency, use another agency or else book directly through the airlines. An unbelievably terrible customer experience. I hope this company either gets totally overhauled or else goes out of business, so that others don't get screwed over.

Site's Terms and Conditions are not very transparent.

I have to rate them at least 1 star coz ZERO star won't work.

Have been waiting over 3 months for a refund. I am put on hold for over 10 minutes at a time, call center refuses to help. I am told conflicting information. Was told in april that the check was in the mail and would arrive in 10-15 business days, yet 22 days later when I call to follow up, they say it has not yet been processed and they are waiting on payment from the airline. However, I have records from the airline that the amount was refunded to them on their credit card in February. They are scammers, better to deal with an airline or a reputable travel agency directly.

On April 14,2017 I bought a ticket from New York to Europe from cheapbestfare.com. The ticket arrived with two segments missing. It meant Id be stuck at the Milan airport with no way of continuing my trip. I called them as soon as I found out. They said theyd correct the problem, they need a couple of hours. Two days later, since they did not call, I called again. They were apologetic and said again that theyd correct the problem. This time they claimed theyd need 24-48 hours. I believed them and decided to wait again. Two days later I called again. They were very nice and begged for some more time. Four days later I called them again. Now they said they would need 5 to 7 business days to issue the missing portion of the flight. I pressed them and threatened that Id report them and sue them. They issued a ticket for the missing segment within an hour. Unfortunately, the ticket was useless, since the connection was between two airlines that do not work together and do not recognize each others tickets. In addition, there was absolutely no time to make the connection 1 hr 15 mins to get off the plane, go through passport control and through customs, go out, collect all my luggage at baggage claim, then check in and return through security, customs and passport control at a big airport (Milan). I ended up calling them close to 20 times. They were either apologetic, claiming they needed more time or theyd insist I need to call to Sandy (Sandip?) instead. He, in turn, would say that needs some more time. Exactly a month after they issued the original unusable ticket, cheapbestfare.com have not corrected their error which would have me stranded in an unknown foreign city. They keep lying and ignoring the problem. Their sales practices are borderline fraudulent. In the meantime, I discovered that Better Business Bureau gave cheapbestfare.com an F, based on their atrocious practices and customers complaints. Stay away from cheapbestfare.com if you dont want to be stuck at a foreign airport with no ticket to continue the trip.
