DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They have scammed me for 4 weeks of insurance. I tried to amend the dates of my travel well in advance of my trip(3 days) however the website sent the error message 'there are no cars available for the time period you have entered'. This, regardless of the fact I was amending my booking within the period already booked. I tried even a single day and nothing was available. When I telephoned their office to inform them that the website was broken, they told me to contact their partner and amend the car booking directly with them. This I did by phone. It was then I was informed that the deposit I had paid to flexicar was in fact the insurance amount and that the car rental company had received nothing. I spoke to carflexi's Adelaide office and advised them of my updated car booking and asked them to amend the insurance period to bring it in line with the new car rental period. They told me that they would need to see the confirmation which I immediately sent by email. To my horror, I received an email 3 days later, informing me that as I had not updated my booking on their website, it was now too late for the insurance to be moved. That is when I contacted the Australian Financial Services Complaints only to learn they had been de-registered in 2018. This explains why none of the correspondence provided an ABN! An honest company would have had no problem accommodating my request. The broken website is the scam. BEWARE!

CarFlexi is a absolute joke, booked a car with them to find out on the day of picking the car up that i had to pay a $2000 bond for insurance even tho I had already had car insurance. I was than told i would be out of pocket $80 for cancellation fee. I would recommend going with any other car company but them.
Whilst it was my fault for not taking out a daily rate to reduce the excess we unfortunately had damage to our hire car by person unknown in our accommodation in Hobart, Australia. As we had insurance with CarFlexi, which we have now been paid out, they were a pleasure to deal with. It has been a lesson learnt that in future I will always take out the daily rate to reduce the excess to Nil.
People don't use Carflexi to rent Car.
They cheating on hidden Fee and you Must pay Double Price if you Book Car in Carflexi.

I rented a car with a franchise. Unfortunately the rental company (SIXT) challenged me about some scratches probably caused by a sidewalk. I had to pay SIXT (EUR 419,71) and then claim reimbursement from CARFLEXI.The procedure took about three months, however in the end I was refunded 334.75 Euro. My opinion is overall positive especially for the courtesy and kindness shown in solving the problem (A special thanks to Mrs Lena M).
They deliberately hide their $2000 bond in the T &cs and your actual hire provider will provide a way better insurance rate for far less. I asked for a refund after having paid insurance twice due to their misleading ad and being floored by having to pay $2000 bond when I went to pick up my car, Do not use this company, they refused my request to refund insurance and in my opinion are a scam.

Regarding this case, we would like to inform you that the total price quoted online was NZD 93,39 including the value of Theft Damage Excess Protection.
In order to place the order, a part of the price is being charged online, in this case, it was NZD 52,75 and by confirmation of the order, the balance amount is written on the voucher, which remains and will be paid at the rental desk. The balance was NZD 40,64.
In case our customer wishes to do a change to his/her reservation, then he/she is able to do so online via "My Booking" zone or by contacting us. Our call center operates 24/7 for your convenience.
So online you may remove the protection of the excess in case you wish to be liable for the excess and must be arranged prior to the collection.

This site is a complete rip off, they quote for the car and then add on their "service" which is almost as much as the car hire! I cannot understand how they are allowed to get away with such a scam.

Regarding your case, we would like to inform you that Theft & Damage Excess Protection service is an optional refundable service that we offer online for our customers in order to protect the Excess for a very low rate. It is highly recommended to have this included in your reservation.
If the customer decides that he does not want to have it included in the order and accepts to be liable for the excess amount, he/she can always remove it before placing the order at any step of the booking process or via “My Booking” facility by clicking on the box "Theft & Damage Excess Protection" if the booking is created. By this we would have updated the voucher and refund you the fee for the service.

Trying to cancel my reservation due to travel ban, and can not get anyone on phone, wait on phone for 15 minutes, and then they hang up. This is a bad costumer service. Spending all morning trying to get through. Nerved will I use this web site again. Their should be a way to cancel on line, and one other thing, never received a an email confirming which they so call said they sent to me.

Excellent customer service.
They're reachable on phone and patiently explain to my understanding.
I am very pleased with the cooperation with the rental company using this service. Quickly, in a businesslike way, without any questions. Recommend. Used several times at different times and in different countries of Europe and Asia.
I would definitely recommend car flexi, was very easy to find vehicles, terms and conditions etc. But definitely wouldn't recommend Alamo the service is shocking..
We had a nightmare situation with us renting a car, pre-paying for it and then not being able to pick up the car. Apparently the cancellation policy did not apply. BE warned against this company!

I booked an SUV like RAV4 in Riyadh and they gave me a Kia ceranto. Saying that they don't have a rav4! It caused a big tension with my husband. So for me it was a first and a last time!
