Tried to review a medicine under Medicare part d. The Filipino lady was hard to understand. After stressing the life out of myself i got a verification number for my renewal. But the lady kept speaking unintelligibly. I was severely stressed out and just set the phone down. I have no idea why she kept talking but did not know what to about it. I never thought this could happen but she cancelled my refill. I absolutely could not refill it. And was left to twist in the wind. I want to leave this horrible company. Not sure how
It's all been said before, their systems are so complex and difficult to use, I would never recommend CVS...what a waste, because, no doubt, there are good people employed here and they want to to a good job. Also, CVS can't deliver real value to shareholders, look at the 5 yr stock price and news...and legal wranglings...what a mess. Managed health care, said no one ever,
If I could give them a negative review I would. Without fail each time a prescription was sent in they required additional information from my physician. Which delayed my prescription. Their customer service to deal with these issues is non-existent. These issues never got resolved. I switched to Amazon online pharmacy delivery. It has been a hassle free experience.
Let say I've been dealing with this prescription denial crap for several years to the point that I now feel it's personal. My life depends on having the proper inhaler, I've been hospitalized 2 times and I want a Lawyer. No company has that to take away meds
I have to use their mail order for my supplemental insurance plan or wouldn't be using them at all! Their reps quoted me one price on a brand name med I need for a 90 day supply then billed my credit card for 90 dollars more for a one month supply. When management confronted said "no the rep told you the price was a guess as to what it would be, but that was not she told me over the phone. I'm an RN have been working with insurance companies and prescriptions for yrs…their customer service people need a review course on what they're telling their customers who are folks on a fixed budget, no guesses on what it will be!
The phone number asked you to speak your needs. It didn't acknowledge what I said. Once I finally got ahold of a person, I was transferred 4 different times to "someone that can help." One of these transfers took me to someone that was nearly impossible to understand due to the poor phone connection. Each transfer involved a 2-3 minute wait time. The question I had, was "Has my medication been shipped." After more than 27 minutes, I still did not have an answer. Ultimately, I was transferred back to the beginning, where they had started all of the transfers. Nobody could answer the question, nor did they try... it was just a game of "pass the buck." Eventually, I hung up without an answer.
Please read my entire review I'm all about the fact's.
Henkel US, or Aetna Insurance decided to switch my prescription coverage to Caremark. I have the usual problems (screwed up prescriptions, auto text messages saying I'm covered/not covered on the same day, filled prescriptions/not filled when I pick them up, etc) with my prescriptions that everyone has until last week. I'm 58 years old have auto immune disease, osteoarthritis, now degenerative disk disease that over the past few years has caused me to be on more medications 9 to be exact. I'm now able to control my pain and function as a normal person. I put weight on the most in my lifetime. I stopped drinking, I walk 3-4 times a week, I changed my diet, I lost 12 of the 70 lbs put on. My Doctor decided after a year of me working on myself to help because I'm now borderline diabetic and my cholesterol is getting to the point of medication, More Prescriptions. She prescribed weight loss medication. Denied. I was told to have my doctor file an urgent appeal so it would go through. Denied. I was told to call Henkel US Benefits Customer Service. The Benefits service representative transferred me back to Caremark. Another Caremark representative stated ALL weight loss medication is NOT COVERED. Final answer Caremark does Not Cover Any Weight Loss Medication, Zero.
I asked the representative why I had to take Numerous Medications to not have a stroke or heart attack or become a diabetic when ONE Weight loss medication could prevent it and possibly stop my blood pressure and some pain medication. I informed him that all the Weight Loss medicine is temporary (some are 3 months, some 6 months) that the medications available state it helps with your blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, pain, etc your overall health, along with the possibility to stop taking certain medications altogether. Isn't that what Henkel US would prefer!?! He said he didn't know why, I made sense to him what my concern was then stated it was Henkel US who decides my prescription coverage. So who decides Henkel US? Aetna? Caremark? I know it's all about money money to who exactly I don't know.
Who sits in the board room and decides what is really important for the employees, employees spouses, their kids to take preventative measures. To not continue paying the companies share of money.
I would think Henkel US would want this or maybe they don't.
Zero Weight loss medication coverage. Caremark's mission statement: To improve the lives of those we serve by making innovative and high-quality health and pharmacy services safe, affordable and EASY TO ACCESS.
Lie - Only if you are covered, after you go through pre approval which takes 72 hrs if marked urgent, 30 days otherwise. It Is Not Easy.

Darius from CVS Caremark saved me from going to the hospital by helping me find an approved inhaler after my insurance wouldn't refill it after a year of use without a pre-authorization. It took all week talking to doctors as I got more short of breath. Right before I had to call an ambulance, my husband called CVS Caremark and Darius was so helpful. Instead of a $436 inhaler requiring a lot of paperwork he found Wixela which was covered and only $7. God bless Darius! Please promote him!
CVS Caremark is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with! Local CVS pharmacies cannot cross-talk with the mail order drug company. Insurance premiums through them are excessive. Service is poor.
Wait times to talk to an agent are excessive. Moreover, you're apt to get transferred between their various divisions none of which are interconnected. Whatever you do - stay away from this company!
My 88 year old mother is likely to die while waiting on this company to fill her medications! I suggest every dissatisfied individual call or write all of the Corporate Executives and Board of Directors before someone loses a loved one due to their negligence! Below are links for their corporate executives. The second link will provide the Board of Directors. https://www.cvshealth.com/about/leadership.html

Every time I call I end up with someone with a heavy accent that you can barely understand! They give you the run around over and over, I think they are hoping you will hang up. On the phone over an hour and they still wont do what I ask. They keep saying something else! So fed up with this company! Unfortunate that Medicare thinks this company is good for our seniors!
I thought it would be easy, switching from one pharmacy to another. It has been a nightmare! The people can not help you, they always put you on with your plan. However, that is incorrect. I found only a supervisor has any clue what they were doing... at lest that is what i thought, until they did something so wrong it cost me money. Every supervisor I spoke to, said it was just a matter of time, it will work out. No, it got worst. Whatever is wrong with your pharmacy, and you are thinking of switching. Don't.
Tried to get last two refills on my rx and they wanted a letter from my doctor. Why would I get a letter when she wrote the rx. My dr is no longer with the practice and moved into an other area of medicine. They will only cover 90 day and say my medicine is a specialty medicine. I've been on the same medication for over 20 years and it's generic. I called my HR and will be sending an email tomorrow.
If will pay through good rx. Who are they to second guess doctor's with what they prescribe. Read all reviews. They are horrible. They want to kill you to same themselves money
Will not allow a lot of the prescriptions that your doctor prescribes. They fight tooth and nail so they do not have to fill the prescription. Very helpful at telling you oh well. Not their problem. If you are looking at this company. Look elsewhere. Save the head ache. They suck.
Forced by my company's health insurance to switch from express script. CVS is the worst. Never on time and if they can't get hold of Dr to renew Rx they just drop it. Haven't taken some medication in weeks due to this issue and trying to switch back to brick and mortar is impossible.
My husband is other mail order plan. They are refusing to send him his BP medicine, so now I'm having to share mine with him. The customer service is a joke. They don't have a clue. The most incompetent plan. I can't imagine the sickness and deaths They are responsible for due to their incompetence. I have filed a complaint with Medicare against them, but I have doubts that they will take care of it. They have no business offering this sorry, disgusting plan to Seniors and should be held accountable. I hate this plan. In my book, they are incompetent murderers and should be out of business yesterday
They never do refills on time when I call they never can find my account then they are confused because I have a primary insurance and Medicare is my secondary. They say it's my fault that I have issues because I have two insurances and I have two accounts with them. It's been going on for over 4 years and still can never get it fixed. The account I see online is not the one they see. I'm out of meds at the 90 day supply and they say it can't be refilled for another 18 days but that means I will have no meds for weeks and even when they do start the refill it will take another 3 to 5 business days to ship.
They've sent half my prescription to the wrong address and called me a liar and charged me for it. They didn't send my updated medication when the doctor upped my script. I'd rather pay out of pocket than be forced to use them.
This company cares nothing about the patient's quality of life. My doctor and I have been trying to get prior authorization for my medication since early January. We have complied with their every request (mostly trying cheaper medications) and have been denied four times. I have been having to pay $1,342 (thank God for Good RX!) per month for my medically necessary medication. I used Express Scripts previously and had no problem with getting my prior authorization approved. I have been using this med since 2006.
If I could give less than one star I would. So bad that they prompt me to write about it. Always an issue. These people must just want you to die because they fight like hell NOT to give you your meds...
Answer: Unfortunately, my health insurance provider switched from Express Scripts to CVS Caremark. This would not be my choice!
Answer: I could reach customer service however they do not provide assistance. Unless you request a senior member it's a waist of time.
