Horrible Experience
June 24, 2019

When I purchased my hearing aids my card had a hold due to the balance, a balance far below my max balance. I had to go to a website to verify myself by taking a 5 second video of myself and a photo of the front and back of my driver license. Then call them back with a code. After a two hour ordeal trying to check out, my card was taken off hold. The real kicker came when I returned my hearing aids and tried the card for the full credit. I had to go through the entire verification again and spend another two hours before the card worked.
Now when I check my balance it is not reflecting the credit. The service rep said it will take two weeks. WTF?
I'm calling my states Attorney General to rid these jokers from my state.
A scam with a capital S.

Ripoff. 26% is outrageous for anyone. How can you ever pay this off? Is this even legal? It should not be. I've made payments every month on time.

This company is nothing but a scam. This is no way should have care or credit in the name of there card. They denied me with wrong info. Not my credit info and refused to investigate why they are using wrong info. My credit score is 100 points higher and my credit card is up to date. They say it's not and that I don't even own a credit card. I think I know what credit cards I own. I checked TransUnion and my info is correct not there's. They refuse to remove the hard inquiry that will lower my score 3 points next week. So they just hurt you not help you. Beware!

I started out with a $4000 limit. I made every payment on time sometimes doubling my payment. They reduced my limit to $1500 without warning when I called to ask about it they hung up on me. The following month I completely paid it off This past weekend the closed my account with warning. I was a perfect customer and my credit score was impacted greatly because of this company. Stay away from doing business with them

Every month I pay them $70 and they charge me $48 in interest so the bill never, ever comes down.

Lost my job because of the virus and I am currently living on a shoestring. I'm not going to give these people my last buck. When the economy was flourishing and I was making money I could pay but that has changed. Stay away from these bastards, stay far away. Come take me to court, you can't get blood from a turnip. Good luck.

I applied for credit on my mom's behalf; I am her power of attorney and this was for an upcoming medical bill. I applied two weeks ago and sent the necessary documentation; instead of reviewing and following up with me, I had to call back to check on the application, only to be given the runaround by a couple of different associates. One was helpful, the others (and the manager) were not helpful at all. We both have good credit and have never gone through this much drama to apply for credit. The application process was a nightmare. We will find other ways to pay the bill... if they make it this hard to apply, what will it be like to have them handle an account for us? Simply pathetic!

I have used Care Credit to defer 26.99% interest charges on thousands of dollars of dental charges. This in and of itself is unwise as if anything goes wrong you may as well have gone to a loan shark. The setup is that if you have multiple promotions, are making regular payments, when you go online to pay off a deferred interest promotion balance, there is no way to designate or verify that the amount paid will be applied to that promotion payoff. You will then need to phone customer service and request that the payment is used to meet that promotional deadline. Bottom line- they set thier customer's up to fail. LEGAL SCAM! Buyer beware $

Care credit sucks!
May 20, 2019

Care credit Sucks I have been a customer for many years, When I first got it I had bad credit score I was approved for $500. Last year I lost my job and I was behind on payments, Since last year I have been doing great been making on time payments and my credit score has been perfect I have been paying everything off. I was so excited I wanted this account for my pets, I got my new statement with a decrease in credit limit I was like what? They said they do a credit check once a year. How does that make sense I now have excellent credit been paying the balance off and they decrease my limit? I am so pissed care credit sucks I have never in my life have had a credit card decrease my limit. THEY SUCK!

Crappy

I've had CareCredit for 5 years never missed a payment paid it off several times. Usually only used it for the vet. Paid it off this last time after charging three months ago $400. I paid the $400 off they closed my account no rhyme no reason they just closed it. Of course having a company close your credit card puts a big hit to your freaking credit score. Bad business very bad.

Bad experience
May 18, 2019

Up until now, I had used CareCredit card several times through my dentist office. However, I moved last year, and had been looking for a dentist for sometime. I recently settled on one in my new town. They told me what it would cost for xrays and cleaning, and suggested I call CareCredit to ensure my card was still good. So I called this month. Got a man. I told him the situation, and gave him my info. He said my card was still valid. I gave him my new address also.

So, I go to the dentist, the 13th of this month. When the person at the office put my CareCredit through for the $349 payment, it came back DENIED. I called right then and asked why. The lady told me I had closed my account. I told her I never closed the account. She said I had to apply for a new card. Pretty crazy when I had a card for a number of years, and as they could see, always paid on time and never longer than 12 months. I told her I had been told the card was valid, and now, did this not only leave me very embarrassed at a new doctor's office, but as a senior, having to dish out $349 was even more difficult. She made no effort to help me, every thing was very matter of fact and yes I did close my account, pretty much saying I was not told what I was by the other rep, a man.

I find it hard to recommend this company to anyone after being treated as such. Especially, when you have been a very good customer.

Their "Promotional Purchase" option wound up costing me an additional 35%. Reading the fine print will do you no good. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from Synchrony.

Fraud
May 13, 2019

I open this card through my dental office. There was a promo going on to get a free Fitbit for new customers. They said we will get a code in 2 billing cycle to redeem a code but we never got anything. When I contacted them one of the representative said that offer already expired, I supposed to redeem a code by March 31st. My question was if I never got any code how I'm supposed to redeem? She was like umm I'm sorry but it already expired and she can't do anything about it. Seriously? Closing this account after paid off my balance. Big no to care credit

When I went to pay my final dentist bill, my card declined. After researching and trying to use the chat it was discovered that 5 months after I had my card, they decreased my credit limit and I have no idea why. I made my payments, so it wasn't that. So I caution you that eventhough it' may seem easy to get approved for these cards, they don't hesitate to change your original approved amount at any time without notification. I was in the middle of my dental work and had to pay the rest out of pocket because of this. Terrible way to treat customers

They are taking advantage of people that don't have insurance. How many of us have insurance on our pets. My furry baby has a slipped disc, surgery is 3 or 4 thousand. Care was immediately recommended. Vet office feels better, they have given you an option. You feel like crap, you've seen the outrageous interest rate, you know you can't pay it off in time to beat it. All the time looking at the little animal that depends on you to take care of them. This would be a great card, if they actually gave you more time and a more practical interest rate. But that's not why you have a profitable business. Is there a pet care credit card out there that actually cares about pets?

These people disgust me. They changed our credit card and then without warning made it difficult to follow the "promotional period" of previous charges. Ended up charging $1,000 in interest when the promotional period was "1 year no interest". They got us. They got us good.
