I've had CareCredit for years and have always been grateful for this type of card. They recently reduced my line of credit, maybe because I hadn't used it in a while, but when I requested an increase of $5000 for dental work (pay over time), I was instantly approved. I also received 10,000 points, which can be used on their rewards site. They have thousands of choices; I was able to trade in my points for a $100 Amazon gift card; awesome! CC gave me over a year to pay for my dental implants (they have various interest-free pay-over-time plans). I'm very happy with their card/service and also with the Synchrony website, which makes it very easy to manage your auto payments so you don't get hit with interest and to ensure you pay off your balance in time. I would not hesitate to recommend this card to anyone needing dental, health, cosmetic, or vet services.
They decreased my credit out of no where causing it to be at max utilization which is what determines your credit score even though I have paid off services and been on time with my payment. Now I'm stuck with a low limit with a high utilization rate because they don't care about their consumers and that they are the reason for decreasing overall credit scores. I'm cancelling them and never supporting them again.

Mysterious charges occur of hundreds of dollars above the original amount during the promotional period. Customer service does not help or address the issue. All you ever hear is we will look into it and send you a letter. A letter that never comes. Somehow they do manage to drop your credit score. Most of their customer service is from another country. Worst credit company ever. The Attorney General really needs to investigate them.
I've had numerous negative experiences with Care Credit in the past, but my most recent one was the final straw. I once had a limit in the thousands on the card; no notification from them that they were reducing said limit. When attempting to purchase new glasses I was shocked to discover that my total limit was a mere $280. In my entire life I have never had such thing happen to me with any card I've owned, so this insult just blew me away. I intend to pay off this card and cancel it once and for all. An absolute disgrace.

My husband and I applied for a Care credit account to finance our cat's dental surgery since we are still paying off our late dog's MRI. None of their reps would tell us how it works. My husband, a finance guy for 40 years, refused to believe the vet set the promotions. We spoke to a care credit manager from India with the name John (telltale sign right there) who promised to help walk our vet desk through the 60 month free financing the day of the surgery. We even recorded this since he was on speaker. Only to find when we called after the surgery that the call was not even noted. I will pay this off before they get a penny of my money and close this account. Shameful

Get a low interest loan from your bank or reputable cards who won’t lie to you.

I have never had an experience of using specially designed and produced credit card for health care needs. It's rather peculiar to me.
On the one hand, indeed taking care of health is too expensive, and it's cool that you can easily apply for it here, the decision is made quickly, without any hassle and then you can freely pass check-ups and whatever you need.
So, thanks to the service, I can't say anything more. They rescue a lot of people who need assistance in terms of health but can't afford it.
I made arrangements with this company to pay. Paid all of it and now they are hounding me for the rest of the money which was total interest.
Their foreign language people they have are disgusting.
I had a bad heart attack and talking to these people make my heart race so bad. I'm trying to get by on very little and they get their jollies out of upsetting people.
I paid for 9 years.
Don't even use this company.

I am extremely disappointed in this company. I've had a CareCredit card for years and have always paid MORE than the minimum. The one time I miss a payment, which was a misunderstanding that I tried to explain to them, they close my account and consider it delinquent and past due. There's nothing I can do about it even though I have re-scheduled the payment, and it was my first time. They said I cannot reopen or reapply until I've paid the balance. I will never open an account with them again. Horrible ethics. Sh!t customer service. Never again.
My daughter took a care credit out for my dog who needed emergency surgery or would have died. I have been paying the monthly payment only to find out her bill has gone up not down. They charge 45.00 mth interest if the bill is not paid off in full. Should have read the reviews first but it was an emergency and didn't think about it. I would never recommend care credit to anyone! Plz read reviews on it, it should be illegal what they are doing to consumers! Her limit was 2000 something and it's now 3100, after paying monthly payments. There are many many reviews I found on it that has done the same thing to other consumers!
I had to contact this company today. I had a card with them for my medical expenses. I paid the balance off in full. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow only to find out today they closed my account last week. After speaking to a representative, I was told I am a high risk customer. After being laid off from work due to covid, I took a month to get my payments back on track. This company doesn't even take this into consideration. It's really a plus for me because I will not have to pay them any money back, Terrible business practices.
I have been a customer for years. My card carries a small balance of $1200 on what was a $6000 available credit limit until yesterday. I have never received a negative reporting from this company and made all my payments as agreed. They decided to lower my credit limit to $1300 with a $1200 balance dropping my credit score by 13 points. This is horrible business to someone who has paid them well for over 5 years. I will be taking my business elsewhere Care Credit/Synchrony Bank. You should treat your customers better. Shame on you.
I had to get this card to pay for a vet bill to save my dog. The vet offered this card when I was in an emotional state. I had to use it again to put my dog in the hospital for a week and still ended up having to put him down. Now I'm left with a $4,000 bill and a 26% interest rate. I will never pay it off. Also, I have been waiting for a customer service rep for the past 30 minutes!
Don't get sucked into this. I have been paying on time for over a year and they have not once reduced what I owe. When I first signed up they stated as long as I paid on time the debt would be paid off in 1.5 years. Obviously that is NOT true. I will tell anybody who is thinking about using this to look into different options. These people are scam artists.
Money grabbing bank run by bots algos and AI. No live representative avaiable. People hard working money is not in value for this printers.
Unfortunately, I did not manage my CareCredit card closely enough. I didn't realize they had been assessing some phony Security Fee each month and then interest on that. Total Rip Off. I am cancelling my card.
I made a payment to my care credit acct and it said in writing that it would post that day. They lied. It takes 24-48 hours to post. When I called they told me it's written somewhere in the policy. Ok. Then why say something contradicting on payment page? Never trust credit card companies. Theyre all liars

What a joke. An 820 credit score- but their identity software had an issue with my covid hair. So sorry I even bothered. Just wanted to space payments on a big vet bill for my poor little dog. I could have paid cash- and will. Don't take the hit to your score! Avoid care credit!
Payments on time but missed cutoff by 4 days and charged $5000 interest on ******* loan 29% how do you sleep at night. You are screwing customers that are looking for a little short term help and you double thier payoff? At minimum payment it would take 23 years to payoff
Have two promotionals going with them for major periodontal work done in June and August of this year. I have one year to pay off both debts interest free, which is why I applied for this card through my doctor's office.
What I like: 0% interest. Courteous agents. Promo expiration date listed clearly on both paper and online statements.
What I do not like: When I would request a distribution of a payment; i. E., X amount to Promo 1 and Y amount to Promo 2, I had to double check to make sure funds were allocated correctly. It was explained to me that allocation requests go into a large queue and may not appear on your statement for up to TWO BILLING CYCLES.
I never had to wait that long to see the payments or how they were applied, but there was one that was allocated incorrectly (this was fixed while I was on the phone) and now another one I am not sure is right even after talking with the agent, because she told me the last payment had an odd amount--which I know I did not request--applied to one of the promos.
After each payment I receive a letter stating "we have applied your payment..." however it does not give any amounts, so you are still flying partially blind.
In the interest of simplifying matters, I decided to just pay off the first promo as another agent told me if I do *not* request a distribution, the entire payment will automatically be applied to the first promo.
So I made an online payment last week and... I still can't make sense of the remaining balance when I look at my statement, which the agent insisted was the current balance.
I already feel married to this creditor due to the payments I am making out of each paycheck and which will continue for months to come; I don't like having to constantly follow up to make sure things were processed correctly, or to get something fixed.
I expressed my concern and frustration to the agent today (the call was pleasant and I made it clear I wasn't frustrated with her, but with the system) and asked for a manager's contact info. She had an address to write but no name or email was available; I had to get to work so I let it go for now.
It would be great to work out a payment plan directly with the doctor's office, but those days are long gone. Review: 2.5 Stars, rounding to 3 for now. I can't say I wouldn't recommend it only because of the 0% interest--but the rest is "meh".
Do not get this card. They closed my account out today. Yes I made my payments on time and I did pay my balance off on March 2020 way before my due date. So since I couldnt use this card for two month due to covid 19 they closed it out for no activity. Made my credit score drop. What a bull crap card this is.
I had a credit limit of $6000 that I got in April 25,2023. They gave me 60 months to pay. I already paid $3000 as of December 2023. They then ran another credit check on me and said I didn't have enough high balance on my report. They dropped my limit to $3270 which now looks like I used 100% of $3270 which dropped my credit score-59 points. I reported them to the BBB.
5 Crowns in Mexico, 1K on carecredit, no promotional purchase for you as it's a foreign transaction. Big FU to carecredit. Wife had a hip replacement, my end was $7K, no promotional deal for you. 29.99% interest. F'ing pirates, I'm paying it off and closing the account. I get a better deal through paypal credit.
Not only do they kill you on interest rates, they're one of the most difficult companies to work with. With everything going on with COVID19, most companies have compassion. I was 5 days late, payment do on the 4th, pure over sight. I went to make a payment on the 9th and discovered they shut off the card.
I called and sat on hold for over 45 minutes, they claim "due to COVID19". WOW!

First I had no complaints then I find a $25 charge on my bill. I called come to find out they charged a late fee. Whenever I get the bill I mail in a check the next day. With this mail like it is I think Care Credit should check the postage date to see when it reached the post office and got stamped. They dismissed the $25 for me. I was so unhappy cause of this but I had to use it again. I only have six months to pay it off unless I divide my bill by 6 and pay more I will be charged interest. Care Credit never charges me the right amount each month. Had I not caught this I would hav been paying interest.
Every time I call CareCredit support, they never assist or help, if you forget to make one payment, they will not reimburse you or even want to help you. When you have questions regarding your bill, they just give you the runaround.
They are rude and I've called a few times to talk to different people no one ever helps.
The interest is off the roof never forget to pay it before your promotion ends. Otherwise you're screwed.
Never again will I used this credit card.
