Open up any other credit card. Not this one, unless you want to be forever in debt! My son needed a root canal, I opened this card and charged $1350. 00 on it for dental services. I didn't pay it off in 6 months so they hit me with interest fee of $172.00 Now when I make a payment of $50 every month, on time, $25. Goes to balance and $25. Goes to interest. Dont do it! It's not worth it!

Despicable

Sent in 6 months of payments at the start, thinking I was off to a good start. Got a notice the next day my next payment was expected in about three weeks! Called them to ask why they were billing me when they already had 6 months of payments in hand and got an indefensible explanation regarding "policy" and "billing cycles." No reputable credit company operates this way. WARNING: Paying early will not ease the burden of minimum monthly payments with this bunch of predators.

Had no issues until paying my bill slipped my mind. Then I seen how much the late fee was. Witch is complete bull$#*! why should there be a late fee on medical credit it's a RIP off I'll die before i use my card again. I hope the CEO of company who came up with these ridiculous late fees chokes on a $#*!

Not only do they charge a high interest rate, but when our dog went into the hospital for 3 days it ended up costing us a whole boatload of money and they refused to give us a temporary credit increase. Terrible company, don't do business with them. They're terrible. And just for the record the call center is in India, and of course the people who run the phone banks have no real power. Terrible company.

Got lasik credit approved. It's supposed to be a 18 month interest free plan. 1st they tacked on insurance which I didn't authorize. They don't even let you see what payment plan you're on (6 month vs. 12 month etc on thier website). Have to call custoemr service which leads you to an automated bot that sends you a non-functioning text. Then you chat with someone line. Can some please call me to take care of my issue of you taking $4800 out of my bank account.
--> They took out incorrect amount and claimed they fixed it after getting on the customer service line. Then they took out the entire amount ($4800) of credit in 1 month despite being on a 18 month interest free plan to split this over 12 months.

We have had this account for 2 years never late always paid on time and paid more than the minimum due i'am joint holder on account and they decided to pull husbands report and his credit had changed so they decided to lower our credit over 1200. 00 this will effect my credit all of this going on during the pandemic. All these companies doing this crap need to be sued or something this is wrong during a crisis. They only care about their greedy self crap company for sure! 100%

I have used Care Credit for several years. It has worked out well enough unless I have a problem and need to speak to someone. No email option, either. The interest is high, but we knew that at the beginning. We pay off the balance as soon as possible. For the past many months, I would say over a year, their website has been a mess. Inefficient. Non-functional. Does not get payments posted and it's a roll of the dice to try to get logged in most of the time. I called to ask about it, and the best response was that I should change my password (?). Not something I want to go through every time I try to log in. IF I can ever get logged back in today, I am going to pay off the entire balance and close this account. It's too much of a nightmare every single time I want to log in. I have no trouble with the websites for my other credit cards and online accounts.

Horrible customer service

They are terrible with customer service allocated money to wrong account at 23% interest. Spoke with 3 different support people 2 weeks in a row. I was told could take up to 2 months to fix. The worst part was the customer support rude uncaring and degrading. In these times you would hope people could be caring and supportive. Would not recommend synchrony bank been a customer for over 10 years never one late payment. Be careful if you have an issue! I would give a zero if I could

I have used CareCredit interest free for multiple things for many years. Had no problem until they switched it to a MasterCard. I have called 3 times now to get errors fixed. I will cancel this account as soon as everything is cleaned up and done.

Consumer Beware!

Care Credit will give you a great rate for up to 18 months. They will deduct from your account and then slam you with over 1,000.00 in interest. When you call to question they just say oh well it expired too bad. Granted health care costs are sky rocketing and you may need the credit to get the services you need but don't trust them to remind you that your promotion is expiring. Stay away unless you want to be paying care credit forever!

We put In a dispute because we were charged 1500 when we only got 500 worth of work done they have the absolute worst customer service and the automated system takes forever one of the worst mistakes I've ever made would not recommend them to anyone

Care Credit is absolutely awful. They robbed me of so much money for the last 6 months. I knew what I was dealing with when they started harassing me for payments only after a month of getting dental surgery. I would call and complain, but from reading these reviews, I can see there's no use. I just paid them off in full, and I'm still waiting for them to find some kind of way to rob me some more. Care Credit is absolutely awful!

Awful

Have to have the entire card number to pay. My wallet was stolen 4 days before payment was due. I tried to set up automatic payments prior because it's such an archaic hassle --- absolutely no customer service whatsoever either.

Never ever going with synchrony again. I have never had a missed payment in all my years.

They lure you in with money to pay for emergency medical bills knowing people are desperate and might not be paying attention to fine print. You make all your minimum payments and then they suddenly slap you with 1300 in interest reporting you're over the limit to the credit bureaus. Asked for increase to cover over the limit amount only to be denied. Supervisor contacted giving less than a month to pay 1500 to avoid fees. Going to have to get another card or dip into retirement to cover this. They are crooks, do NOT get this service!

Someone put my check electronically. I went to my bank many times and sent them proof of payment. I haven't had a late payment in 17 years. I will cut up this card and my husband and all friends at work I recommend this card should cut it up. I was told someone could have taken my money and there is nothing they can do.

They don't care!

I thought this was a good company at first. Made all my payments on time. Then all of a sudden my payment went up $62.00! This really hurts right now because I work in the oilfield and I tried to explain that I needed my payments to go back the way they were. After an hour of talking to people they said there was nothing they could do. Other creditors are working with me just fine. It went up because of interest rates.

Poor customer service
February 26, 2021

Waited on hold for over an hour just to ask one simple question. I was finally connected to a gentleman from another country who was very rude and repeatedly kept responding with a generic answer. When I asked to speak with a supervisor he hung up on me. Shame on you care credit. I will definitely be canceling my card and using a different medical credit provider!

NEVER AGAIN

I am extremely disappointed in this company. I've had a CareCredit card for years and have always paid MORE than the minimum. The one time I miss a payment, which was a misunderstanding that I tried to explain to them, they close my account and consider it delinquent and past due. There's nothing I can do about it even though I have re-scheduled the payment, and it was my first time. They said I cannot reopen or reapply until I've paid the balance. I will never open an account with them again. Horrible ethics. Sh!t customer service. Never again.

Total scam

Do not use this company. They steal your money. They tell you that if you pay in two years, they won't charge interest. The truth is that I was paying more than I owed monthly to finish before and they charge illegal fees. I don't recommend it. Do not apply for credits with them. Alert not to use. My monthly payments were $117 a month and I paid more and they charged me with illegal interest fees that say they don't charge. See the image. It's total scam.

Horrible service

Every time I call CareCredit support, they never assist or help, if you forget to make one payment, they will not reimburse you or even want to help you. When you have questions regarding your bill, they just give you the runaround.
They are rude and I've called a few times to talk to different people no one ever helps.
The interest is off the roof never forget to pay it before your promotion ends. Otherwise you're screwed.
Never again will I used this credit card.
