I used to only use Cardpool for discounted gift cards because of their 1 year guarantee. However, since September 2020 they have now gotten rid of that and only offer 60 days. So the first time I ever had a problem with them was recently when I made an order and received a zero balance gift card. I read their guarantee and found that the email written within it does not exist so my email could not be delivered. I then googled their customer service phone number and called it only to find that the number is not in service. The only email I found that is real is *******@cardpool.com, however no one has replied to me in 4 days. Don't waste your money on here, there is a better alternative! I have recently started using the Honey extension and you can purchase a discounted gift card in exactly your amount due with one click! Much easier and you never get a zero balance gift card!
This site is a complete fraud. They sell gift cards with zero balances, this is happened to many many people, including myself. They have no customer service so there's literally no recourse if you buy a bad card. Please do not buy from them, it's not worth it to try to save a few bucks.
The gift card you buy is probably sold to someone else as well. I had 4 occasions where i bought gift cards and the funds became zero several weeks/months later. Luckily i was able to get my money back. However, i had a 100$ dillard's gift card that i purchased oct 2019 and was not able to use it in a timely manner due to the pandemic/ shutdown that occurred. I am 30 days past their 12months guarantee period and they won't help me nor extend their guarantee period due to this unforeseen situation.
I purchased a Coach e-Gift card ($250) on 12/31/2019, my family member and I didn't use it. But when we tried to use it in the Sep of this year, the balance is $0. They could have sold it to another person again. Also the ex-owner could have used it, which will be the card management problem. I spent 1 month on communicating Cardpool for refund. But their response is slow and very rude, they refuse to refund. They don't follow 1 year money back guarantee policy. They always say it is my problem: I sold it, my family member used it, or my email/phone/computer got hack. They never say it could be Cardpool's problem. They didn't manage the card well. If they didn't sell it to another person, it must be ex-owner problem. Don't trust Cardpool, very bad service. They never tried to help customer to resolve the problem. They don't take any responsibility. 1-year money-back-guarantee policy is a fraud.
I attempted to sell a gift card to Cardpool. After several days in review, they declined the transaction. I kept the card, figuring I'd use it eventually. Several months later, I tried to use the card only to find out that it had a zero balance. Customer service for the store told me the money was spent online using the card number and PIN. The card was in my possession the entire time, so the only way it could have been compromised is through Cardpool.
This site sold me a giftcard with a $0 balance on it. When I contacted them, they sent a cropped screenshot, showing that $0 balance. They claimed I had used the card already. I went to the restaurant's site and put in my info and sent them the SAME screenshot, this time not cropped. That revealed that the card that had been sold to me weeks ago had not been used in 6 months, but somehow had a balance of $0. They never responded, but they sure did steal my money.
DO NOT use this site! It is a scam!
I am reporting them to the FTC and anywhere else that investigated cybercrime and fraud.
Purchase a bad gift card that didnt work. Contacted multiple times about the issue and they blame the customer. They will say you gave the information out or your computer or phone is hacked. Buyer beware as youre giving your money away if this happens to you
Purchased a $100.00 Nordstrom gift card during June, 2020. Nordstrom refused the card, stating that it had been stolen. Cardpool brags about their 1 year gaurantee. Informed Cardpool of the problem, and they ignored Nordstrom's action and informed me that "maybe" I used the card and forgot about it. Incredible... Cardpool has never contacted Nordstrom, Cardpool responds to complaints with pre-written Emails that may not fit the issue at hand. They simply want you to go away. I have a good credit card company and I believe that they will get my refund.
I sent my card to them and it took months to hear back, only for them to return my card to me. I checked my balance when i got it, the full balance was in it, checked again four months later and my balance is $0.00. They're thieves!
I bought gift cards for one merchant and they were electronic but took too long to get to me through e-mail (which should be almost instant)... the item I was trying to purchase went out of stock and then back off sale back to its original price which was double the amount. $300 instead of on sale for $150 when I bought the gift cards. I've been e-mailing for a month now and NO responses, not a single one!
Then I purchased a gift card last week and still have not received it. Other sites I've used I get the gift card within 15 mins... this one I'm lucky if I get it at all and definitely no refunds whatsoever... don't waste your money even if they price for a bigger discount it's not worth losing a couple of hundred dollars or more.
The screenshot shows their one automated response saying they will get back to me... but when? In a few years?
I'm not sure why this site has so many bad reviews. As a person who used to own a survey site, it's probably from people not following directions, or trying to use the card after they sold it. It worked perfectly for me, I sold two cards, a Macy's card that I got from swagbucks and a Victoria Secret card that I gave to a Tinder chick and took it back from her after I found out she got some more side dudes without asking me first. Got my check in about 5 biz days.
I had about half dozen purchases for over a year without an issue. Then I purchased 2 Starbucks cards in June and one of which was not a valid card. As you know, there is no phone support and email takes a few days for them to respond (if you're lucky). I told them about this issue and received an auto reply email that they would get back to me. Three weeks past and I still didn't hear a thing. I sent the second email, then the third one... I gave up and regretted I told a few friends to sign up!
Be careful and good luck if you're still using their service.
I mailed them physical cards to a restaurant and they've kept them without paying me. They absolutely will not respond to emails no matter how times or addresses i send from. They have no phone support. My cards have been in review for over 3 weeks.
Something is real shady about this "company." Be warned. They cancel your offers without explanation. They call asking strange questions about a $50 gift card, then still cancel the order after you satisfy their idiotic curiosities. I'm thinking they're a front for something else, interested primarily in acquiring information than actually buying legitimate gift cards. Who, what and why, no idea. But something is very wrong with cardpool.
Stole my $50 giftcard without paying me, said they never got it. This would be the first time USPS has ever lost a package of mine or someone stole one after a long history of sending and receiving goods via post, so I don't doubt that CardPool received my gift card. Don't do business with them, you've been warned. They are con artists and will steal your money. Fact.
Tried a $50 Barnes & Noble card. Offered $30.00 (60%). The kiosk swipe did not work so I had to manually enter the number. Scanner would not scan my driver's license; multiple attempts. Went home and bought two magazine subscriptions for my wife.
I used to have such great experiences with this company - rarely an issue - until my last purchase... From what I'm hearing Cardpool either closed up shop or transferred ownership.
I was out $409.50 and had to have my cc company go after them.
Their formerly great customer service just literally disappeared - all you get now is auto responses
Sadly, after a couple of perfectly fine experiences, I had two epic fails. Orders were not fulfilled, customer service took a week to respond, and then the answers back are simply nonsensical. Sad, because the concept is great, but these folks seem to be processing orders on index cards, or have no internal inventory or system controls. I suggest staying away, and I seldom leave negative reviews.
Purchased an e gift card online, Cardpool said it would take 1 business day to send code to email, but I did not receive it until two and a half days later. Customer service reps are rude, very unfriendly and impersonal.
'Scam-sold cards with zero balance'. Customer service sucks, no refunds. Their 1 year guarantee just a junk. Now, I have to deal with my bank. What a waste of time. Stay far away from them.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
