I ordered a large amount of Home Depot e-gift cards for a remodeling project. I missed the verification call later that evening. Since then, I have tried to call back 15+ times and left several messages. Nobody is ever available to talk to. Also, I sent the support team multiple e-mails and have not received a response. It has now been a week and I have no gift cards and no communication from Cardpool.
This morning I sent another e-mail to cancel my order and disputed the charge with my credit card company.
After a 8 days I got email stating one of the cards I sent in had a zero balance and had no information or balance for the other card. My computer is secure and nobody else had the code but them. I checked the balances on giftcard's website and they were not at zero. Looks like I'm out of that money, thanks for the scam! Too good to be true, yes it was!
I ordered a gift card several weeks ago. It was a simple, 50-dollar card to a clothing retailer. I never received it. After 2 weeks I contacted Cardpool and have received no response. Their online "chat" feature is an absolute joke. THE worst automated chat engine I have ever encountered. So now I'm out $47, with no idea where to go since they do not respond to inquiries.
Big cheaters. Stay away from cardpool.com. I sent them the target gift in mail with their shipping label and cardpool claimed that they have never received this and blaming usps. The card was used and the balance is $0. I saw several people complained the same.
First, I submitted my gift card ($400.00 Apple store) and then after reading the reviews, I immediately canceled. I sent an email to the company to ask why are customers having such a bad experience. I had an immediate response advising the company was recently sold and the new owners are trying to clean up "a mess". So after a few back and forth correspondences, I decided to give them a chance, knowing this could end up in a nightmare situation. However, the complete opposite. I submitted my gift card and within 7 weeks received a check in the mail. Thanks Ryan for the great experience and we will definitely be back!
Sent in my gift cards on 12/28 its 1/4 still no response to the 4 emails i sent. Supposed to be getting a 250$ check from them and a 350$ amazon card.the first time i used them like 2 weeks ago i had my amazon card the next day.in my account overview it stays at status ordered. This company is getting worse
Buyer beware! Cardpool is happy to take your money and not give you your purchase. I was promised my cards within one business day. I'm going on day 5 now, the funds (almost $400) have been withdrawn from my account and carpool will not email my cards. They don't answer their phone and only accept voice messages. I am only getting the runaround from them. I think this site is a scam. I would not recommend purchasing from them.
I sold one gift card on there successfully and was mailed my check and received it in a timely manner and everything. So because of this I felt comfortable enough to list 2 more card in value of $200 each. I was notified at least 5 weeks ago that my cards were sold and to be expecting my checks. Still haven't received any checks. Nobody will return my emails. Nobody answers their phone number or returns their voice mails
I tried selling $300 of Bass Pro Shop gift cards to Cardpool, and eventually changed my mind. I emailed them and asked if they could cancel the transaction. They said yes. Before I put in the pin codes, I checked the balance online and calling the store. Six cards, $50 each. After making the transaction, then requesting to cancel it, the cards have a zero dollar balance now. Cardpool support has no answer to what they call my "misfortune", and refuse to help me get my money back. I am furiously annoyed and pissed off with cardpool. I feel screwed over on $300 now.,|,,
I used CardPool once in the past without a problem. Recently I mailed them a $20 gift card and I was supposed to receive a $16.96 Amazon credit in return. They show receipt of my gift card on 2/23/19. It's now 3/26 and the status is still "in review". After reading all these reviews, it's clear I got ripped off. I'm glad it was only for $20.
I dont think they have the inventory advertised. Many times I'm waiting for a particular card, so checking multi times a day. Then I'll get an email that one is available and immediately login only to find no cards. It'll say "the last --- card sold 5 days ago"; so either the email or the site is wrong.
Other times I make an order, and then 6-7-8 days later (after the already advertised shipping period), the order will be cancelled for no given reason. Think they try bait and switch.
Am experiencing the same problem as others have listed. Sold them a gift card and have been waiting for almost a month to receive my check. Have emailed 5 times and have not received any information. Account says still in review. Seems that I will never receive my money and am disappointed and disgusted that a company can get away with non payments. My advice is to stay far away from Cardpool.
I have been purchasing cards from Cardpool for a few months now and they seem to be fine until today. I purchased 2 cards (with separate transactions) as I always did but I just now found out that they put these 2 transactions as "Cash Advance". I was charged for $20 for transaction fees and still have to pay interests on them. I filed a dispute with my credit card company... I have another transaction pending... fingers crossed. There is no customer service phone number!
I received a bunch of gift cards from work over the past few months and needed cash not gift cards. I found Cardpool and saw that they had the highest cash back %. Said hey screw it and gave them a try. I sold $750 in cards and got about $650 cash. Entire process took about a week. The called me to verify my identity, just mailing address and how I got the cards. If I get any more will definitely be using this service again.
This is the scam if a lifetime. These people have no phone number and dont answer emails. I purchased 2 cards from them and changed my mind about the purchase before it was shipped. Tried to get a refund, no response.
I suggest you contact them on FACEBOOK and tell the world about their scams on their page, like I did. Also, your bank should be able to help you get your money back.
I listed three gift cards to sell with Cardpool on June 14, and have yet to receive the Amazon card I sold them for (transaction #*******). My listings on their website still say "In Review". I have emailed them three times now, with no response, and can't find any other way to contact them. At this point, I just want my cards back. This service is a total fraud - their website clearly says "Even though we may never find a buyer for the gift card, we pay sellers within 1 business day of receiving their gift card." It's been almost 20 business days at this point, and no contact at all with them. I will never use this service again, and I would never recommend it to anyone else.
I bought 50 dollar chili's card from cardpool on July 14 2018, two weeks later when I brought my whole family to have dinner in Chili's, it turns out to be a ZERO balance card. I even asked manager to check, they said it is 0 balance.
I contacted cardpool, 3 days later they replied, without any explanation of the reason, they just said they are going to refund. It is really a bad experience on this site, never come back again.
Sold them a card - they sent check to wrong address, only agreed to cancel after much pestering. Whoever received check cashed it, landing my bank account (information they take upfront) a 12 dollar fee for even deciding to do business with them. Awful company, terrible customer service, shady individuals who do not give a damn about customer service. Low and dishonest piss-poor excuse for a company.
I was told that the check for $152 would be received within 3-7 business days. Nearly 3 weeks later, no check has been received and no response to email inquiries requesting payment status update. Do not do business with this company!
It all seemed so great and easy. Unfortunately, I did not see this review site before I sent my gift card to Cardpool. I got a prepaid label from Cardpool (by e-mail after filling out form on website), dropped gift card in mail, but they claim they never got it. I am very dubious given all the negative commentary on this site. Won't use them again.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
