The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with many praising the quality and aesthetic appeal of its clothing. Positive feedback highlights the stylish designs and satisfactory product quality, suggesting a strong initial impression. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, with frequent reports of long response times, unresolved issues, and difficulties with returns and refunds. Customers express frustration over order delays, misleading product descriptions, and perceived overpricing. Overall, while the brand's products may attract interest, the inconsistent customer service experience detracts from overall satisfaction and loyalty.

Being an artist myself I know all about photo editting. Got 2 really nice shirts for my nephew for Christmas. I was in love with the colors shown on the website. The shirts came in with completely muted hues compared to what I thought I was buying. The photos show the ad on top and actual on the bottom. Quality seems ok as well it should be for the price but when companies mislead us in this way I won't be a return customer.
So I read the reviews many of which were not good. Maybe at one time Poor customer service? I don't know. All I can say is that I had a great experience with Carbon 2 Cobalt. Decided to try them out and glad I did. Ordered online and chatted with the customer service chat line. Quick response. They helped me with sizing and offered a code for free returns and exchanges if needed. A few days after the item shipped, I got an email saying that there was a sale. Of course, the item that I had just ordered was now on sale. I made a quick call to the customer service line and they refunded me the difference. Also received the poncho quickly, much faster than I expected. The poncho is good quality and exactly what I hoped for. I mentioned to the customer service rep that I had read many bad reviews but that my experience with them was awesome. He said that they're a small company and trying to do the best they can for their customers. Will be ordering from Carbon again for sure!
I had bought both shirts and pants from this company and was quite excited when these initially arrived only to be quickly plagued by frayed fabric, poorly threaded buttons and truly the lowest quality clothing I have ever bought. My dad was in women's retail so I grew up with an appreciation for fabrics; I had bought clothing for my wife as well and her experience was every bit as disappointing as my own. Would not waste your money on such rubbish. This was 2 years ago and we've learned the hard way and don't have proof of purchase at this point
Purchased the White Oxford Shirt, Salt. Nice enough shirt and appears to be decent quality. Maybe a bit overpriced but I can live with that. Problem is enormous neck measurement (18 1/2"). Most LT shirts have a 161/2-17' neck. Just doesn't look or fit correct so I am returning. Giving 4 Stars as its a nice shirt if the sizing (body to neck ratio) wasn't so disproportionate, and yes, I took measurements. Has anyone else had this problem?
Delivery was prompt. Hope return goes smoothly.
Sent a return back. I called 3 days after I got the UPS verification that the returned was delivered to them. I emailed asking when my credit would appear. I got an email back saying 10-14 days. So I called to inquire why it woud take so long and the CS rep on the phone told me they could not refuned my money because the returned item is not in their system. I then told them I will send the UPS screen shot of the proof of return and signature from their employee. Then I was told it would take 21 days and they offered many excuses. Iwasn't gong to fight with them for weeks so I gave all my information to my credit card's bank, disputed the retrun- the fact they said they did not have the merchandise - and let the bank fight it out with them. That's some real quality service they have there. Lost a repeat customer - for life Thank you for your order from carbon2cobalt. Cheap fabric and made in China quality. Disappointing.Returned the item. Hoping for a prompt refund.
I ordered my size in a number of different women's shirts - medium - and they all fit perfectly out of the box, even with longish sleeves, which I need because I'm tall with long arms. I kept four, and after washing and drying them per the label instructions and common sense (cold water wash, low heat dry), they were all a full size too small and a shabby version of what I received. They became instant junk shirts. I know cotton shrinks, but still, for the amount of money each shirt costs, what a complete waste. You'd have to size up at least one size to get the shirts to fit after any amount of laundering. The material is thin and poor quality. The rest of the shirts I returned because the cut created a strange large bubble of fabric around my lower back. They don't show you photos of the back of the shirts but the cut is terribly unflattering when on. These purchases were not a good use of my money, definitely regret it.
I placed an order on line last evening at 8:30 pm. I call today ay 9:09am and was told no changes could be made and that I would just have to return and reorder. I should have listened to the reviews they are a 2 star for a reason.
With shipping, I paid $175 for an "Enigma Blazer." It arrived 3-weeks later, was WAY too big (like, comically large), and seemed cheap. I sent it back to get a medium and received it about 3-weeks later. It came very wrinkled and again felt extremely cheap -- the material is literally see-through when you hold it up to the light. So I washed it, following the directions on the tag (cold water, low dryer heat) and the wrinkles got worse. I tried to iron it on very low heat, as low an my iron would go -- again as directed on the tag -- and the material immediately got shiny (i. E., burn marks). Plus I noted that the stitching around the chest pocket pulled in the wash, leaving an unsightly partial u-shaped line visible from the front. So essentially it is unwearable. $175 completely wasted. I will never purchase another thing from this store, and possibly never purchase clothes online again after this experience. Total waste of money. This company puts together slick advertising campaigns, but their clothes are the cheapest, Made-in-China stuff you can find.
Clothing is way overpriced for the quality. After several washing the clothes fall apart. Spent $180 on a pair of boots and they charge $15 for the slowest shipping method and take forever to receive. Would not recommend for the price. Who charges shopping anymore for a near $200 purchase. Ridiculous!
Beautiful catalog. Sh*t clothes. T's with collars that pucker after 1st wash, polos with collars that are thin and flimsy. I fell for the beautiful pics. No more.
So far, I've ordered two sweaters and two shirts. I returned/exchanged one shirt because it was darker than I was expecting. I called and they shipped the new shirt and didn't charge shipping. I've had compliments from people about a sweater and a shirt out of the blue. I didn't mention they were new.
It is pricey, but so far, I love their stuff
The fact that the product they sent me looked nothing like the picture in the catalog pales in comparison to the torture of attempting six times, yes six times to get them to stop sending me their catalog. Every time, they assured me that the catalogs would stop, that my address had been removed, yet they keep coming. Six times! What is wrong with this company!
I really wanted to like this company however after purchasing one wallet at a fairly high price —The zipper started to come undone. It becomes clear that it wasn't sound properly and I have not been able to make contact with the company. I will not be buying from them anymore as much as I would like to because things look appealing but the quality is just too unpredictable.
The problems that I have had with this company are too lengthy to mention... seriously, I'd need 1500 words to fully explain the lack of professionalism regarding their customer service... and don't ask to speak to a supervisor... you, as a dissatisfied customer, are not permitted to speak to them... they are too busy.
I've given them numerous changes to improve and they either can't... or won't. I should have looked more closely at the reviews of this company... Literally every negative experience listed by the other unhappy customers, I have personal experience with and then some.
My best advice... SKIP THIS COMPANY
I didn't act smartly. I ordered $500 in clothes my first order. I'm trim and fit and KNOW my sizes relative to all the major brands and most run accurate by size. I just bought a great looking shirt... size M. It was literally a XL in any other brand. Everything else I bought was just as ill fitting. DONE with brand!
Terribly overpriced. Don't buy here. They cannot even figure out how to remove people from their mailing list
Amazing company. Love the style. Fabrics are beautifully curated. Customer service representatives are courteous and very helpful. They listen. Even their online CS Chat is a person not a bot like most online retailers. I had a problem with an order. I chose the wrong size. I called them to see how quickly I could change it. It was supposed to be a gift. They sent me out a new one even before my return was sent back, so I'd have it in time.
The best.
I can't believe all the negative reviews for Carbon2Cobalt. Makes me wonder who is writing them.
I've made 6-7 purchases from them and I've had all good experiences. I love the quality and unique style of their clothing. I returned 1 item (shoes) because they did not fit well and I had no problem with the return.
My only complaint is with their shipping, which is terribly slow in this day and age where everyone else ships next day or 2-days. C2C ships via Parcel Select, which is a partnership of UPS and USPS. That is a TERRIBLE service. There is no way to track the specific status of your package, so you are left to guess when it might arrive. It always does but it takes forever. Despite that, I give C2C 5 stars for their high quality and great style.
I was impressed with the catalogue and ordered two items. One of the items was on backorder and I had to wait 3 months. OK the first item arrived and was very thin and made in China. The sleeves shrunk so much it was comical. I kept it until the second item arrived and it was the wrong size. Made in Vietnam and appeared to be of better quality. However since it was the wrong size I had to return it. I got an RMA and returned both items. It took a week for them to acknowledge the return after they received it and they kept saying they did not. I am finally getting a refund, hopefully. They also charged me for shipping on the original order even though it qualified for free shipping. They tried to make it good but it took way too much effort on my part. You may have a better experience but I will AVOID! Will be using LL Bean since their customer service is way better.
