After I canceled my subscription, I was billed for the Canva Pro, and they refuse to give me my money back. DO NOT use this site. They will rob you blind.
I am a Graphic Artist. Canva purchased a website where I have approximately 11,000 images where people can download and pay me donations (I receive around $50-300 a day). I have been a member since 2017. Usage of my images as of Jan. 2019 is to add more graphics and text for use. Canva purchased Pixabay in 2019 but when they became very popular in the US, around 2021, they started using our images to give to their website users without asking the artist's permission. They never notified the users in any way. I found my 11,000 images this year 2022. I tried to contact Canva via email and they told Pixabay that I was harassing them. I told Pixabay that I would pursue any action I could take legally and they warned me they would inactivate my account. Pixabay was already upset with me because: 1). I spoke up in the Forum about the Ukrainian War. 2). I was upset they they take over a week to contact me about uploads I did and I stated in one of the later messages when I was so frustrated that they were not answering "What is Wrong with you People" (they said I was being disrespectful). They threatened to deactivate my account. I told them I would investigate the legality or for them to take all my images down, not to make me only inactive. As of May 25,2002, they deactivate my account without contacting me or taking all my images down. Perhaps what they are doing is legal, but morally they are wrong. They are charging people to use my images without my consent and they are making money off my artwork which many I painstakingly drew. This is a terrible way to treat a small business.
Hello, I am a student at a school that frequently does graphic design projects. I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program I hate this program IT NEVER LETS ME FORMAT THINGS THE WAY I WANT TO. AND ITS THE ONLY PROGRAM ON MY SCHOOL COMPUTER SO I DONT HAVE ANY OTHER OPTIONS. IT TAKES ME THIRTY MINUTES JUST TO MAKE THE POSTERS LOOK RIGHT, AND EVEN AFTER THAT IT STILL LOOKS LIKE GARBAGE COMPARED TO WHAT I COULD MAKE IF I USED SOMETHING ELSE. In conclusion, i hate this program, it makes everything so hard for no reason. The end.
Last week, I started working on a 30 minutes presentation for one of my university courses. For some unknown reason, my progress didn't save (although the picture uploaded was saved onto my account) and I lost several hours of work.
It is impossible for me to view whether or not it is possible to retrieve my projects since the history feature is a premium one. Now the premium feature cost $200 which is prohibitive for a poor student who has to manage to pay all his expenses with a yearly income of $10,700 (the "minimal viable income" to live in Montreal is $29,500 according to the IRIS).
When one considers that being a post-graduate student requires 50h+ of work each week, losing several hours of work and not being able to know the reason why it fails or is able to restore the problem is extremely frustrating.
You can be sure I will make negative WOM for this brand (I am studying marketing BTW) as long as this product remains highly unreliable as well as prohibitive for university students.
I still haven't heard back 4 days later and this is a pretty big ongoing issue for them. That tells me they don't value their customers or create how it affects our lives. Disgusting.
I thought that like most web sites Canva offered immediate cancellation.
They do not.
Cancel today, pay for another month.
Shame. Read the fine print!
I canceled my subscription in September and as of December I am still being charged! They are impossible to reach! I am contacting the better business bureau1
Site advertised as free trial but no mention of recurring monthly charge, terrible website, upsell if you want actual features
We use Canva Pro for our remote marketin team and we love it! The ability to resize your designs automatically is a game changer since we use the same images for different social platforms.
Worst customer service. I was charged over $5000 for my pro membership. No phone number, no ticket system, just poor clarification of how cost works.
Tried 3 times purchasing the $10 gets 11 credits and each time I get 1 credit for $10? NO PHONE SUPPORT, OR REAL EMAIL SUPPORT. They lie saying we will email you back. STAY FAR AWAY.
First of all, Canva is a great product... i've used it extensively. The issue I have and it is a big issue is the premium elements charge.
You have the option of paying for a single, multiple or extended and this is where the problem lays. If you pay for a single licence. According to their terms, you have to pay again if you want to resize it for a facebook header or Twitter header. Their interpretation of design is not a new design but simply the same logo but resized. Of course they can't say that cos people would be complaining so they chose the word DESIGNS. And here's the thing, even when you purchase the multiple licenses for so-called unlimited designs, they still deducted it for each resize...
This is simply just not on. To be charged for every single resize is an absolute rip off... it clearly says per design and nowhere does it say per resize... on challenging this, I was told it was valid... so people, beware... they make their money by charging you on the premium images for every resize and not design. The same design resized is not a new design...
Really a waste of time and effort trying to go through the unintuitive site where you have to mindlessly click and reclick many many many times just to perform a single action.
The art that our clients send to us to get printed is never print quality when they make it on Canva. Please use real software and not this trash
If I could give 0 stars I WOULD! I placed an order on December 2nd for a photo album that I had spent 2 months creating and designing for my daughter. Paying for express shipping so it would arrive December 4th. December 4th nothing arrives, so I start writing emails EVERY DAY and they start answering WITH THE SAME PATRONIZING ANSWER saying how sorry they are and they were in contact with "production department" and NOT TO WORRY BLAH BLAH BLAH...they would keep me updated. Make this painful story short: DECEMBER 16TH after outraged email of mine...I finally get the DELAYED ORDER EMAIL. So, in case you can't follow: December 15 they STILL HAVE NOT SHIPPED THE PHOTOBOOK that was for a BIRTHDAY GIFT on Monday 19. I am enraged but it was too late to order a photobook print elsewhere. So at this point just feel mocked and disrespected by a bunch of INEPT, INEFICIENT, LOOSERS at the other side of the internet. It is my intention now call them and make their life miserable for making me miss my child's special gift.
$12.95 to remove my card?! HELL NAW I'll pay it, then I will leave Canva for good. I am no longer using their services to make stuff.
SCAM
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE TO CREATE PICTURES
Don't use Canva- impossible to cancel! Keep charging my account and I never use their product. They do not reply to emails- causing me great stress. DO NOT USE CANVA
No response from customer service. My mistake that I trusted my payment info on them. Purely bad business ethics.
They billed my credit card with an unrecognized email address and I cannot cancel it. I have to get a new bank card
If you don't have any design experience this is a fun tool. There are some limitations compared to design software but this gets the job done.
Answer: That was one of my issues. No active link to cancel the free trial subscription.
Answer: There is zero support. Until they do something about it, don't begin with them. Try Snappa instead.
