Purchased a $200 cooler from here only to have to wheel brake off after 1st use. Canadian tire policy is no refunds once used. So I was forced to exchange it only too have that one break as well. I went back to the store for another one but now the 90 days is passed so now I am stuck with a large cooler that dos not roll. So pissed with Canadian Tire. I will never step foot in one of their stores and hope now one else has the same experience I did with Canadian Tire. But as I'm reading online reviews it appears I'm not the only dis satisfied customer. Please be aware they are happy to take your money but hold no responsibility for the products they sell once used. Unfortunately you don't know if a product works until it is used. Stay far away from this store. I would expect this service from an American company Not a CANADIAN company.
Telephoned to find out what brand of ride on lawn mowers were in stock. "They are on display. You will have to come in". I came in and found two. Spoke to a manager who said they had no brochures or model numbers available. He did tell me that they do not service what they sell but send their customers to a local business. I told him that the named business closed more than two years ago. He told me he could not help me and walked away
After buying 3200 dollars of tires and rims which would not fit my truck. The so said owner would not return my money even though he was aware they didn't fit cause computer gave wrong configuration. He then decided to tell me off in front of customers with no response from me and then asked me to leave store. CT customer service has still failed to resolve this after ten days and counting
CT has nice looking tools. I bought a set of glue clamps and used them - that is tried to use them. They both broke the thread when clamping. No, I am no macho, just a guy in his seventies, so don't tell me it was excessive force. Over the years, it seems that they downgraded their own warranties. Lifetime is less than the print of the cash receipt is legible!
Bought 6 months ago the wind blew really hard just before Christmas the zippers wouldn't stay down the wind went inside and ripped the shelter apart Canadian tire says that it is not a manufacturer's problem it's mine
I was told by customer service that everything that's ordered right now might not be in the store or website at all. And they have no way to know it, I wastes days waiting for the status changed in an online order that's was never in the store or warehouse and they have not exact way of knowing with certainty, so if I haven't called the store then the department and the customer service line, I would have spent all my summer waiting for a pool that Canadian Tire never had in stock.
Their Master Card finance department will bring a problem literally decades old when reducing your credit line after borrowing and successfully repaying hundreds of thousands of dollars since then. Just when I counted on and needed them most they halved my credit line every 3 months after a use it or lose it letter. I would up using the other cards that I needed as a cumulative large amount, thank goodness, and they lost huge interest for that 14 months.
They also cap the amount of cash to 50% of your credit limit as they want you to buy product. Its like Costco credit card scam that only gives you 500 limit then cancels your card if you do not renew membership claiming it is in the fine print- like anyone reads the pages of fine print requiring a lawyer and a magnifying glass.
In our house we have 2 desktop computers, His and Hers. For the longest time he was able to log into CT and order, then it stopped, no 'log in' showed, he tried to contact through email, nothing. She started to complete the orders on her desktop computer, no problem, then the same thing happened no log in - when you put something in the 'cart' then go to the cart, it shows empty! For the last order we had to go through her iPod 3 inch screen! I am not sure what the problem with their website but we likely just stop buying online and even at the store!
Ever since the new ownership took over a year or two ago, the customer service is not only gone into the toilet but it has been flushed as well.
The Powell River Canadian Tire has management that thinks it's ok to walk by a very long line of customers waiting to go through a checkout (only one till open plus customer service that we're both involved in lengthy transactions) and doesn't call assistance for more cashiers and also does not open a till himself to help out. I finally asked the young lady on the till if she could please call for more tills to open as the line was getting even longer. This has been an ongoing problem since new ownership.
This is unfortunately pushing people to not shop local.
Too bad ownership really doesn't care in the slightest. I guess if they did care, they wouldn't have let go so much staff when they took over ownership.
Paying my bill at till and noticed that the man standing behind me was without a mask. Everyone else was wearing a mask. How did he get into the store without a mask? We were checked at the front door by an employee. Why was he not told to put one on or leave?
Store# 273 2681 Danforth Avenue.Hi my name is Carl I just wanted to give a special thank you to Sue who works for this location I have dealt with Sue on a number of occasions, she is the most efficient & hard working employee and goes above and beyond to help all customers, Sue is very good at her job and she helped me quite a few times in solving my problems/ concerns. As far as I am concerned she is a Rock Star, she is one of the Best employees in this store. I wish her the best... Good job Sue and thank you very much.
I thought all locations charge the same but I bought new winter tires and was charged $22 per tire but the CrossRoads location charged me $40 per tire for balancing. Beware as it almost $100 difference for samecwork..
Cdn tire bovaird I had sway bar front end work on my Sante fe it took like one hour which was great until I got billed 500 dollars for labour when I asked the mechanic why he told me it was shop charge who makes 500 per hour this guy is a mechanic not a surgeon david t brampton
My nearest store is Lakeshore and Leslie, Toronto. I always make sure to check the availability of what I need and where it is in the store online first. Trying to get help in the store is next to impossible. The inventory levels are usually right as per the website. Ordering online is problematic. During the pandemic I ordered a bunch of stuff. It takes 2 days to leave the store. If they ship Purolator everything's terrific and I get the delivery the day after it ships. If they ship Canada Post, well, be patient. CT hasn't really got the whole idea of online shopping down properly yet. There's certainly room for improvement. The quality of the products are highly variable. If you look around you can find some really good deals. I've got a toaster that's now 2 1/2 years old and working great. It cost me $7.00. My vacuum is the same age and was on sale for just over $70.00. It's been amazing. There's crap there too. Just be careful.
My computer has erased the invoices I had, so I can't be a verified purchaser. If this site allows it, I'll update this with an invoice or something to prove I actually use this company.
I bought winter tires in Niagara falls at Canadian tire in November to be ready. I met with a sales representative that gave me advice on tires, I was very worried about the snow after last years disaster in my vehicle, he explained the tires were all on sale so I asked for the top 3, I brought Continental winter contact S1 which were costly but I will say, awesome set of tires and recommended them to anyone, I have only 2 wheel drive Kia Soul ex great so far!
I have had champion generators for over fifteen years. These generators are comparable to the higher priced other brand names and perform just as well if not better in some cases. The champion generator is cost effective and reliable. In my opinion a smarter buying decision.
The site has great sales. You can even select an item and be notified when this item goes on sale.
The option of delivery to house or store. The in store delivery is usually next day and free. However there are times when you may have to wait for item to be shipped in from other stores; longest I waited was 3 weeks.
You earn valuable canadian tire dollars on every purchase.
Placed an order for next day pickup. Checked in online when I arrived and within 3 minutes they had my order in my truck! Would have been 5 stars but one of the ornaments was clearly defective so I was disappointed that they packed it in my order.
I was very pleased with the service at this Canadian Tire. The kayak was on sale and not in the store.one of the director was called, Efrem. He quickly found out that there were 2 in the warehouse. However, a huge loading truck was unloading merchandise. He said it could take a few hours … but he said he would see if something could be done to get to me in the morning.
Which he made it happen. He also got other merchandise that were hanging from the ceiling due to the end of season.(used the vehicle to reach the items … life jackets)
I was very impressed with the help I received even the cashier was very pleasant and helpful.
What's the point of an appointment. I had scheduled an appointment at 9 AM for a tire swap. One hour into my appointment I get a phone call saying my tires are 22 inches and require an up charge of $10 per rim and they haven't even started yet. Fair enough I said continue. Fast forward three hours later with a total bill of $206. Ouch. I love Canadian tire but I do not like spending half my day here. When I ask does it usually take three hours with an appointment for a tire swap they said no. Typically it's an hour and a half but one of their tire techs came in late. No compensation, no credit, no sorry. No more business from me. Thanks
Answer: Yes, all of them, no one has such a strict return policy.
