Placed an order on April 29,2020. As of May 19,2020 I still have not received it. Customer service is non-existent. Cant get through either via email or by phone. Nobody responds.
Being forced to dispute the charge through my credit card company.
Will never order from them again.
Just wondering, i placed an online order to be shipped to Toronto on Monday. 4 days have passed there is nothing processed! I received an order confirmation and thats about it! Their customer service number never answers
Anyone passed by the same situation?
If you must buy something always best going into store. Front line staff are normally great. Online orders take 7+ days to get out on average. Normally split up from different stores, even if the one closest to you has everything.
Good luck getting ahold of customer service if needed. Huge hold times...
Usually I am very happy with my visits to Cabelas... and was excited when the flyer showed up yesterday with some great deals and new click bait rifles. I figured since I needed a draw tag picked up, I would drive the hour to go grab a rifle /bipod/scope as an early Xmas present to my self... I've been a good boy. I called ahead and was told if it was in the flyer they should have them in stock, but that the computer was busy and he couldn't confirm... my bad... Drove the hour to be told that they have some on order but that they haven't shipped, and that they not even available to order online yet... but featured in the catalogue... went down south to a local shop and spent 2600. 00 there instead.
I found using the on line shopping for Cabela's very efficient. They processed y order and shipped it within 2 days. I received the package without any delays or need to return. I was very pleased with their service and their company. I was pleased with the items I purchased and would purchase again from them. Customer Service was very polite when I needed to cancel something and put a different size in.

I placed a $400 order for the Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale. My order was confirmed the same day. A week later and still no further updates to my order. As per the instructions on my order confirmation, I called to get a status update a week later. It took 20 minutes to get through to a customer service representative. They were polite and seemingly accommodating to my queries and requests. I was told I would see an email the same day that would outline the status of my order. I did not get an email so I followed up the next day. Again, it took about 20 minutes to get through to a service rep. I won't really fault them on the wait times as it seems common with corporate operations of all kinds these days. This service rep. Was also polite and accommodating and the issues were resolved right away.
For whatever reason(s), the delivery times for Cabela's online ordering are very slow when compared to many other online retailers, corporate or otherwise.
Unless you are willing to wait 3 weeks or more for your order to be delivered, I suggest that you go to the nearest outlet.
We ordered an Eskimo ice auger, the shipment arrived in 4 days, rivalling Amazon. We ordered 2 Striker Ice floatation suits, a fishing rod and a drill attachment, the order was 6 items shipped in parts, the last of the order was a jacket arriving in 12 days. We ordered a hard to find ice transducer and 2 pairs of fishing gloves, the shipment arrived in 5 days. Note that all these items were on sale. The shipments were boxed good and came with prepaid return labels. We have no problems with Cabela's and will continue to order from them.
This is by far the worst place to shop online Management take weeks to call u back with a bunch of BS... They will tell you that they don't have what u paid in full in stock anywhere... they will not refund you your money for weeks even tho it's there fault...

I placed an order 22 days ago and haven't heard a peep from Cabela's. These items were in-stock online. I called customer service and was on hold for 58 minutes and 27 seconds and was then on the line with a completely incompetent customer service rep, not her fault apparent lack of training. She was unable to inform me of anything, why even have a customer service department if you are not able to help, I may as well have called McDonald's customer service at least I might have gotten a free cheeseburger out of it! Cabela's is going downhill at a very rapid pace. I have already paid shipping costs and was informed not only is this going to be practically a month before I receive it I get the privilege of waiting a month and then paying even more to ship it... wow... this retailer is completely out of touch with what would be considered acceptable business practice!
I have been attempting to get a refund for an online purchase that was not picked up at the store in Oct 2017. Several phone calls, conflicting processes and frustration it is now January 2018 and I still do not have a refund. So frustrated.
Placed an on-line order 2 weeks from a location that has stock. 2 weeks later it still hasn't shipped. I call Cabela's every day to check the status and I keep getting told it will ship out today. It still hasn't left the warehouse. I asked to speak to a manager for an explanation and was told one would call me. 2 days later and no one has called me. This place is the worst. Buy local and forget dealing with this nightmare of a company. They don't appreciate your business. I'm never buying anything from them ever again.
Ordered a firearm on Black Friday. Item did not ship for 2 weeks. Called today only to be told that the order was cancelled. Like WTF? At least tell me when you are going to cancel my order? Don't other with this POS company
I have a stupid uppity hillbilly neighbour from Regina. (Here in Ontario). It all makes sense now... after dealing with these very dumb people of Cabelas Canada ( online) Manitoba. I can honestly say shut this so called business down!
Order a $239 benchmade knife, they sent me a $30 different item with the receipt under other customer's name. Called customer service several times waiting time ~25 mins but nobody available to answer me, also sent an email but 3 weeks still no respond. Very bad job.
Tried to order a few hundred dollars worth of fishing rods and lures one night. Spent about an hour picking out merchandise going through the process only to find they don't accept Visa debit. LOL
What major company dosent accept Visa Debit?
Emailed them to ask why but they are too important

Twice I showed up at the Calgary store to purchase an air gun that the website showed 'in stock'.
Gun staff, 2 different staff members, could not find the product. Every key stroke or click on the computer was accompanied with a 'sigh', poor if any computer skills.
After about 15 minutes of waiting while they were scratching their heads, they told me 'I guess we don't have it'. So I decided to buy the display model but they could not sell it to me because they couldn't find the box which contained the manual.
After having read all the horrible reviews it boggles the mind that this company is doing absolutely nothing to change their way of doing business and this leads me to believe that, because they are the only Outdoors outfitter in town (aside from Canadian Tire) their attitude is 'where else are you gonna go'.
I made an order online on cabela.ca and then three of my packages were shipped but the fourth was never picked up by UPS. Every time I called customer service they gave unconvincing excuses and assured me that they put a request to ship the package. The UPS tracking never got updated and the package was never shipped for over 7 days. Last call I had with the custom service they were plain rude and said it should ship and when I pressed to know when, they had no answer. When I asked for a refund they said it's not guaranteed since it was invoiced and ready for shipment. It's like I am stuck with my package not shipped and custom service offering no real information or a clear solution. They know it's their fault but they simply doesn't care.
I have had multiple good experiences and bad ones. If you buy any product "on back-order" beware because it likely will never come. The one time I ordered a product and after a month of waiting for it to come in stock, I emailed them and a week later I got a response saying they don't carry that item anymore. They took a while to respond and overall just a nightmare of a situation. Don't buy anything if it says it is back ordered.

Bought a deer feed on sale on Nov. 1,2017, chose and paid the 3 day shipping to arrive at destination Nov. 3,2017. Called Nov 2 fo get pro bill number to trace. Not shipped yet. Called everyday. Not shipped yet. Requested supervisor to call me. No calls. Called Nov 6 and was advised it was being shipped and to our gift destination for Nov 8. I had stated that I had asked numerous times for a supervisor to call. No calls. They told me they as emailed me. Bull. Called Nov 7 - and guess what, still not shipped. This was to be a birthday gift that we travelled quite a distance to be able to see their expression. A most unpleasant experience and will never darken their doors again. To the next person.
