I ordered one item on July 13 for about $10. It came, and everything was fine. Then, a month later, on August 8, I was alerted by PayPal that the Bradford Exchange had charged my card for about $50. I did not buy anything so I had no idea what this charge was from.
Turns out, any time you buy something from this website, they sign you up for a subscription service and they send you more items. This is highly misleading as there is nothing on the initial item page to indicate that it is a subscription. Essentially, Bradford Exchange is relying on people not checking their bank statements so that they can keep sending unrequested items and keep charging the recipient. This issue has been documented in others' reviews as well. Bradford Exchange is a classic bait-and-switch SCAM.
I will be filing fraud reports with Paypal and my credit card company.
BUYER BEWARE.
I ordered the Christmas wreath with the kittens. It does not look like the picture. The kittens are flat pictures of? Wood painted. They have no 3D image to them. I would not order any more products from them. I am not returning due to the expense involved.
They stole my credit card info from a purchase and charged me 14.95 a month for 7 months before I knew it I rewards! Scam scam scam
What a scam. I used PayPal to make my first purchase of a commemorative $2 bill. Then 3 weeks later, they sent me a similar $2 bill that I didn't order, I found out they charged my Paypal 5 times of what I paid for the first $2 bill, and somehow my PayPal autopay to Bradford was activated. I searched through my emails for anything that says Bradford subscription or autopay, or even an order email for the phantom order, and I couldn't find any. I went on the website and couldn't find this order in my account. In the package with the item, there is an invoice that says paid but with no dollar amount. Shady as F. What a scam this company is running. I'm sure a lot of people don't even realize they're being charged. How can a company like this be allowed to continue to operate?
The pattern on the cheap dog collar only covers about 4 inches. Very crappy material. This is not going to last. Probably won't even bother putting it on the dog.
Watch functions were not what I was told when I called to confirm before my purchase and the warranty card had someone else's name hand written on it... obviously a return they sent me. A used watch...
I ordered a watch on the 14th, on the 18 I had swimming not received a invoice or tracking number so I called and asked for one sent to my email... still no invoice or tracking number for the almost 400$ item somewhere out there... I would have expected better customer service from Bradford exchange. I hope the item dosnt also reflect the same quality...
I ordered a coin from this company costing £4.69, I then received another coin I had not asked for and they charged my card £43! I sent it back in their own envelope with a stamp on telling them not to send anything else I had not asked for and to refund my money. They sent me another coin! I returned that too and got in touch with them, they said to get proof of postage and gave me a return address to send it to and told me they had cancelled further coins. I duly sent that coin back too, then another came! I sent that back, but now they have decided they did not receive the first coin back so will not refund my money as apparently this was the only one they charged for... funny that! They are a complete rip off, do not use if at all possible, but please make sure you get proof of return or you could find yourself out of pocket with no coins to show for it!
To give my 90yr old mother something to look forward to, She ordered the 4 building Thomas Kincade Christmas village. She knew she could afford the $300 over approximately 8 months time. Six months later, they have sent a total of 7 buildings and continue charge her account. The advertisement for the village details 4 buildings 'and buildings when they become available'. (fine print). Problem is they have a never ending supply of Christmas themed buildings. When I cancelled over the phone, they tried to get me to purchase Christmas ornaments! These business practices are deceitful and shameful targeting our elderly communities.
I ordered a set of bracelets for my Granddaughter. I was supposed to receive 1 set for each season. Well I received 2 sets for winter and 2 sets for Spring and 1 set for Fall and nothing for Summer. I tried calling and was hung up on. Tried emailing and nothing. I was supposed to make 2 payments of $29.13 and 3 payments of $58.27. Well so far they have charged me 6 payments of $58.27. I cannot get anyone to help me straighten this mess out and have my money refunded that they have overcharged me.
Placed an order where they committed to a 5 week delivery window. After 5 weeks, with no notification they changed to over 10 weeks. Can not get ahold of a human being to ask why. Do not buy from this company. It is a scam!
I am disgusted that they are allowed to do this, just send coins then expect payment! Do not use!
I bought my husband the Army cuckoo clock
The volume dial did not work I called the agent argued with me that there was NO control for that.
Yet it was clearly step 7 on the directions. And now the eagle doesn't come out of the door when it chimes.
It wasn't cheap - $260.00 I was not pleased and will not buy from them again.
I order something for my wife birthday which in July, I am still waiting for it, and now they have lost my order, I rang them and was on hold for 25mins and no one Ans my call, I still am on hold to see if it come or I get my money back, I am not happy with the service I got, I would not give them one star
They keep pulling money out of my account without authorization for services I didn't sign up for! I just got hit up for $95 that I know nothing about and they can't ever answer any questions. I will have to drop my card and get a new one if this $#*! keeps up!
I ordered Checks in October of 2021. I received them. THEN they started hitting my account for $14.95 every month. I NEVER gave them permission to take monthly payments for ANYTHING. I didn't realize for 6 months and contacted them by email to no avail. I contacted them today and advised them they need to refund all they took, and they advised me that they will refund 5 months. So if they do this to every customer, that is how they are staying in business because they rating sucks!
I bought my Son a Mustang watch for Christmas. He loves Mustangs. And he loved the watch. I had my concerns about the quality - But he really wanted it. He just came up to me tonight with his broken watch. Both the second hand and minute hand had broke loose from the post and is just jingling around on top of the watch face... Did not even last 6 months. Do not buy from Bradford Exchange.
They will send you silver coins you didnt purchase... And then bill you for the item. I stopped paying once I realized and they sen me too collections. I begrudingly paid them thinking it was the end of it. But since they have sent me a new coin, that has a value of 38. And they are asking 99.99 for it with 9.99 shipping fees... These $#*!s are scam artists. Beware! 1
I ordered a personalized gift for my wife's birthday in early to mid April. The delivery was supposed to be Mid May. No gift. No notification. To find out more info, I tried calling. Forty five( timed) minutes listening to music, never a human, hung up. In order to find out status on line, I had to open an account. Wrote a critical review, and finally heard from these people. At that time, I learned that the new delivery date was 6-27. It's now 6-27. No word, no wife's birthday present. I went online to my "account", and learned today (no notification by email or otherwise) that my wife can expect her birthday present in another 6 weeks... on August 8., more than 3 months after her birthday, almost 4 months after my order.
I received the peach sorbet ring it's horrible the silver is showing through the rose gold very dingy ring
Answer: When a company this size, keeps your money and lies countless times, hours spent waiting and talking to employees and supervisors and report you for not paying when they have your money isn't a company I would recommend to anyone.
Answer: Hi Tina. Sorry for your crappy experience with The Bradford Exchange - I know the feeling. I would dispute the payment, but make sure you take pictures and be very descriptive of why the item was not as advertised. The Bradford Exchange is certainly NOT what they once were; their products used to be a much better quality than they are now.
