What's the purpose of placing an order for pickup if you're going to make the person wait until he's done gathering his online orders? It would have taken me less time to pick the items and pay for it myself at the store. The lady manager at Howell Township BJs is extremely rude!
Be careful if you purchase an item with your BJ's credit card they may treat it as a cash advance on your statement and add on extra fees. Terrible and crook practices.
I wanted to also add about the terrible job the home improvement did on my roof that started to leak bad in 3 and a half years ago that the warranty on it is not good for anything either. They say it's 50 years but when I called them up they said they were going to send someone over and the man put me on hold for half an hour and he dropped my call and I never heard from them and it's been 2 weeks already.

The lady at the door said it's not her job. Nice. I had to get someone and found a young man that was caring enough to go help my husband. They checked all the electric cars. None was working. We left. Not sure if we want to go back.
I paid my first membership in cash. Knowing I can pay cash when membership is over. This was not the case. Bj's charged my credit card. The same credit card I use for shopping. When as asked for refund. Quick to say no problem.
As of yet I have not received a refund. This occurred in March 2022. They are so full of it.

Order a bunch of things to be delivered, followed up and turns out something broke on the box during transit and shipper discarded all orders in the box. Called BJS, they said they will issue credit and weeks later, still no credit. It was only $70.00. This is the second time... no more BJ's for me. I will stick to Target where customer service is great. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH BJ's. They can not be trusted.
Gas prices are not some big savings. Attendant said they compare nearby stations. Just like any station. Inside prices do not beat Walmart's, at least for a reasonable purchase quantity.
Hot dogs $1. No hand sanitizer at register. Cashier was so nice and immeasurably dumb. Office people were notified, no effort to supply sanitizer. Good God stupid.

They make it seem like your saving on things. But Bjs hikes up the cost on majority of their items, then would slap a coupon that says $5,$6,$7, etc off. Only to pay a pricey price either way. Not saving much here.
Coupon are vague on many items and does not specify specifics just a brand of an item but every time I get that item coupon is not valid the folks at the club says oh need the 36 count not the 24 count version, all they had was the 24 count and nothing on the coupon says that! This happens on more than half coupons I try to use just given up using now, prices not that great can get items on sale at other stores so done!
Leslie, in Bakery was extremely helpful, polite, and patient with all my questions about ordering a cake on line. For this reason I'll will order all my cakes from Bjs instead of Costco or Krogers from now on. Thank you Bjs for hiring her she is definitely an asset to your company
I checked my bank account and noticed $55 missing for an auto renewal. I did not authorize! Unbelievable! I am. Not even the primary card holder. I have a card under my mom. We have separate credit cards so why was I charged? We never even wanted to renew. It's too expensive, we never even go there any more. I haven't shopped there in months, since having major surgery. Why is this ok. Called the 800# and was told that I should get a refund in 7-10 days. We canceled our membership. I will never go back to your stores. I have a better membership elsewhere. Scammers. Apparently, you can't opt out of auto renew? Other people had this happen as well.
So BJ's is able to process a sales transaction online, however they are NOT able to service the order online at all. You cannot chat or email or simply cancel the transaction yourself like you can do so very easily on Amazon. I am now on my third phone call to the second telephone number with an investment of over one an a half hours to try to simply cancel a transaction. They are not ready for online sales.
Website is slow and error prone. App is worse, most of the time won't even open. Orders for in-store pickup take longer to assemble than driving to the store and selecting the items myself - if and when it even works to begin with.
I have seen orders waiting to be picked up, so I imagine this is a functional site but, after spending 20 minutes adding items to my cart to have it error and tell me my cart is empty is frustrating. Especially after getting all the way to a submit order screen last week to have it freeze.

Finally went to Costco where I got exactly what I wanted first time, better quality and at a better price.
Dead rats under the coolers in deli and on another visit in cheese section. Coupon system provide no confirmation of discount and non of the items are marked that there is a coupon. The phone app search typically does not find an item coupon. User interface requires you to select each of over 200 coupons instead of all at once. Check out system is a joke. The door guard handled each of my items with no gloves and sent me back because there was an item short. He counted wrong 3 times. We returned everything due to the disrespect (Jeff) at the door and that process made us wait 30 minutes while each item was returned instead of scanning the total and refunding us. A call for the manager Sue was fruit less after 30 mins. This is the Hyannis store. We will never return to BJs..
They have changed the checkout so you can not use price gun on items in cart. We experienced items saying they were not scanned when the service rep did. Placing items in basket, then out if basket and then back into cart is time consuming and difficult. No room for you to place on scanned items, two of which were not on the receipt at exit. Frustrating, time consuming and not efficient. BJ member 21 years and I will be letting my membership expire in next month. Will shop online more and NOT at BJ.
We have been a member for 10+ years. When you place orders online and receive a damaged or missing item (which unfortunately happens fairly often) you must take your copy of your order into a store to attempt to resolve the problem. The whole idea of ordering online is to NOT have to go into the store. Most companies have a much better policy - basically you tell them what is missing and they replace it. Our orders often come in flimsy boxes that have hardly any packing and appear to have fallen out of a plane. Our BJ's days are over. (It's not like their pricing is really any better than your local grocery store or Target where you can get Shipt to deliver your purchases the same day.)
I have place an order on 08/09/22 this order was not received and a credit was supposed to be issue. I was told that credit was issue 08/26. I have called my bank and they haven't receive any refund. As of now I'm calling every week an no one can give an explanation why this credit have not been received. The only answer I get is to wait. I have been waiting for over a month now. I need an answer NOW
