Horrible Customer service... We ordered an item in January 11 months ago (large order) one item was flagged back ordered. I requested notification when it was in stock. 9 months later we move, update the account in B&H, and 11 months after ordering we get a bill at the new address for the item, we haven't received. Turns out they shipped to old address, never notified that it was in stock or that it was shipping. Called and the agent wants to ague we should have contact of the buyers of our house... We sold the house at a title company, what?... I have been a very active customer over the last year, will not order anything else from them. Glad the timing happened when it did, about to place a large order and know not to use B&H for it. Not a good business model..., lost a $13K order over an $89 item... Adorama looks so much better now... B&H... I call it theft to be charged for something and not get it...
Photo equipment ordering is simple and quick. If I need any photo equipment I go to B&H first they always have it.

Answer: ANy refurbished item we sell has been refurbished by the manufacturer or official US distributor, Nikon USA or Canon USA etc. Other used items are each rated on a numeric scale and we tend to be conservative so customers are not disappointed.
