Overall, Best Buy is a complete joke. I've complained to the Better Business Bureau about this company. They are complete rip off. I can't wait until Amazon buys them out and they shut down. They literally stole a package and refused to give me my money back. I found the police report, and they never refunded me for the amount. Then for complaining, they placed me on a no online order or store delivery order List as if I would purchase from them again.

Boy, if you don't watch them, they will get you. I had a customer service person (in store) tell me that I had a warranty on my printer (3rd replacement Cannon G7020!) and turns out she didn't know her a$$ from a hole in the ground. They got hundreds of dollars from me because of that. Then they lost an even bigger sale by cheating me. They have lost another customer. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me.

Purchased an air fryer for a Christmas gift. Had a total knee replacement on 12/29 and was told I could not get a credit card refund on 1/31 when I attempted to return the unopened box with my receipt Just started walking around again.
Customer service was non existent.
Will not shop at this store ever again.

Tip for consumers:
Check your receipt and do not have surgery and expect them to understand why you are late trying to return a unopened item.

Best Buy is a joke. I was foolish enough to purchase the Total Tech membership when I recently purchased an iPad. I bought a tv on Dec. 1st and scheduled a delivery and installation, a service covered by my Total Tech membership. I scheduled the appt. For 12/7, between noon and 8 pm (no option for a smaller window). I sat for 8 hrs. And Best Buy was a no show. They had rescheduled my appt. For 12/8, again between 12 & 8pm. I waited for 7 hours+ before I called about 7:15 and asked when I could expect the installer. I was told he would be there in the next few minutes after completing the job he was almost done with. They said he would call me when he was on the way. Never got a call and the tech never showed. I then discover that they have rescheduled my appt. For…are you ready…December 23rd, between noon and 8 p.m.! My advice, don't waste your money on the Best Buy Total Tech membership or, for that matter, anything from Best Buy.

I connected to chat at 11:03 and the agent answered and transferred me to another agent at 11:05 with supposedly a 10 minute wait. 27 minutes later Tianna answered. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to get answers as to what the Basic Geek squad protection plan covered and what additional cost would be incurred if say I broke a screen. I NEVER got any answers other than damage is covered. WTF?

Don't buy their geek squad protection plans

If you have a bad product and the return policies which they have is pretty tight. I would still prefer Amazon or Costco if the price is same or even marginally less in Bestbuy.

I purchased a new monitor for my computer online because it is an inconvenience for me to go to their closest store. My monitor arrived 3 or 4 days after it was supposed to be delivered. I was in process of moving, so this evening when I went to set my computer up with the new monitor, I cannot connect my monitor to the computer because it is missing a cable. Included with the monitor was hdmi to hdmi cable, but I have an older 600 Series Dell desktop which requires d-sub to RGB cable which was not supplied. So online I contacted customer support and got into a chat. All they could tell me was I could send it back for free to do an exchange or refund, or take it to the nearest store. I don't want to do that as either one is a major inconvenience to me. Then the customer service person says they cannot send me a cable. So that means now I have to take time off from work to go to the nearest store to get the freaking cable.

During research prior to purchasing new tablet, I asked Best Buy on-line support about price match with Samsung on-line with a $250 trade in credit. Assured that they would match Samsung (in writing during "chat"), I was instructed to purchase on-line and take the trade in to store when picking up purchase. I was told that a credit would be issued that could be used to discount the purchase. I specifically mentioned the exact final price from Samsung and again, assured it would be met. I followed the instructions for ordering, wiped all personal data from trade in and restored to factory settings. Upon arriving at store, I was told You were mis-informed" about the price match and that they would NOT match Samsung. Had I not deleted everything from the "trade in" I would have refused the purchase and bought from Samsung. As a long time, loyal Best Buy customer (now FORMERLY loyal) I feel cheated after being lied to. Hopefully the $250 that they did not honor helps someone, because it's the last dollar Best Buy will get from me. I have total tech & have used for computer and TV with no problem. I went on line regarding another item to make sure total tech could install. I was told by the online customer service chat rep they could. I was told once I ordered the item an appointment would be made. While I was making the order, the rep indicated the appointment would be made by another department so when I returned to the chat he was gone. I waited and waited. I was ghosted. After 4 hours and 4 other reps, no appointment had been made. I called the store and was informed total tech did not install those items. Since I had found something I liked as well on Amazon, I requested that the Best Buy order be cancelled. I stayed on the phone while he completed the cancellation. He requested I call back the following day to make sure "it went through". I went to my account on line and saw it had been cancelled. I received an email the next day confirming the cancellation because "the item was not in stock."? Maybe that was the only option available for him to select. I also received documation of the charge receipt showing a zero balance. I have saved all documentation in the event the cluster is not truly over. Another example of no customer service as poor customer service is the same as none. Any problems they create have to be corrected by the customer. From banks, to grocery stores, doctor's offices and retail this seems to be the norm of staff either not trained properly, of low intelligence or they just don't care.

I went In a best buy store in Montreal and the manager and the stuff was not helpful and polite. I know it is not all of them.

Deceptive, sneaky employees lose sales by defeating my using a legitimate discount which I paid for twice!
Buying and delivery is mostly fine…until you need easy help (online)…. Then wasted time and aggravation. On multiple occasions the reps did not understand a simple issue and they handed me off causing me to repeat lost dialogue; or they simply disconnected me - 'technical problem.' Right! Further, they went out of their way to avoid honoring incentives. It seems managed by prior burger flippers or online gamers, maybe children?

Use other vendor!

After filing a complaint with the BBB, Best Buy corporate support contacted me and reimburse me $50 to my credit card to make up for the issues of me never getting my $28 gift card to make up for the damage. They were very nice and helpful, but I should not have had to file a complaint with the BBB to get to someone that could help me.

Promised a gift card for a damaged TV they never sent and will not make good now. Crooks!

I ordered a TV online. It was damaged in shipping. A chunk of the polarizing screen was stabbed in shipping causing a large pin point of white light on part of the screen. I called best buy the next day and described the issue. I was told I could exchange it or since it was just small damage but still usable, I could instead have a partial refund. I chose the partial refund. Based on the cost I paid they offered me $28. They said it would be on a physical gift card which would be mailed and would take 4 weeks to receive. I never received the gift card. I called and was told even though they have in their computers that I call and they recorded the damage, they had no note about a gift card and since it was now past a month I could do nothing. They know I called. They know there was damage and since I didn't exchange it clearly something else had to happen. Why would I just keep a damaged TV. They just basically said well it's over a month now, so tough luck. They sent me a damaged TV, lied to me about sending me a partial refund that would magically take just enough time to get to my house that it would be too late for me to do anything else after waiting. I have the order # and I have the ticket # from when I first called a day after receiving the damaged TV when I was promised the gift card. They don't care. They know what happened but did nothing. They lied and stalled so I got stuck with a damaged TV and now they get to keep all my money. Crooks!

I was going to purchase a MacBook Pro 16" M2 Pro with 512 gigs SSD. When I get to check out I see Upgrade Plus from Citizens Pay. So I explore the option. I applied for the " loan". The application process took me off my Best But app to the website to verify my info. I was redirected back to the Best But app. My purchase no longer showed in my cart. I was at a best But in Attelboro Massachusetts do I asked a floor sales person for assistance. They had no clue as to what Upgrade Plus was.Nor did anyone else in the store. First clue of a problem.
Next I had to call Citizens Pay to ask how to complete my purchase. They had no clue. So after an hour trying to figure it out I gave up and decided to purchase it from Apple directly.
I then get a notice that my order was cancelled. I had no clue the purchase went through.
I then called Citizens Pay again to find out what was the status of my purchase through them and could I purchase using them at Apple. I was informed I could BUT, Best Buy has to release my runs back to them. That was on June 22. Is June 28 and Best But STILL has the money from the cancelled purchase and has not released it and I have NO Laptop.
Best Buy terrible refund accountability is the worst I have ever encountered. Save yourself some time and effort and stay away from any of their financing promotions and be careful with your credit card purchases because they will not release you funds back to you with the same expediency that they take it.

My wife bought me AirPods for Father's Day. She bought them on June 5th to make sure they would arrive by the June 20th date. I waited a whopping 3 days to open the box and discovered she bought the standard model, though she intended to purchase "AirPod Pro". I called Best Buy to exchange and pay the increased price to get the Pro model only to find they have a 15 day return policy! How can you buy a gift online and return it in 15 days! An unreasonable policy which is serviced by a group that doesn't care.

Don't buy on this website unless you are POSITIVE you are right...gift buying is VERY RISKY!

I bought a new HP computer at Best Buy 4 months ago and just last night wanted to insert a disc in the disc drive, but THERE IS NO DISC DRIVE. The outline for the door is there, but no way can it be opened. When I called Best Buy this morning I was told most computers now do not include disc drive. He said of all the computers in their store today, only 3 have disc drive. I had 2 choices...an external disc drive for $20,00 or they could install one for $65.00. Of course, I took the external cause I don't want to do without while they alter mine. I suggested it would be a courtesy on their part to at least warn prospective customers. Hope this helps you!

I have spent thousands using the BB credit card. I'm an Elite Plus member. I recently used one of my certificates ($5) reward to purchase batteries. I canceled when I realized the batteries were not available on the day I need them. Best Buy doesn't stock 9v batteries?! I canceled the order. Anyway, my $5 certificate was not refunded back. And, come to think of it, this was not the first time. Their FAQ said it takes a few business days. It's been over 5.

I love Best Buy. I buy most of my electronics from Best Buy. But after spending over $10K over the last 8 months using their credit card, I don't feel particularly appreciated as an "Elite Plus" member. I'm in the market for a better rewards system -- an honest one which can show real appreciation.

Customer service is horrendous. Good luck with finding someone who actually knows the products and/or can answer a simple question. Make sure you know exactly what you want and that it is a good deal. You can find an OK deal on occasion. My store does not answer the phone, Ever! It will ring indefinitely. While you're in the store, however, there are salespeople everywhere, just standing around. I give this chain 3 more years until the Geek Squad unit is the last remnant before collapse. There is no value-add to this chain.The 800 number reps do not know their stuff either as I had ordered a mobile installation and scheduled service... of course the unit was incorrect for the vehicle and the time allotted was insufficient. Then the tech stated that he left at a certain time and would be unable to complete the installation... nice customer service, especially after THEIR mistake.

I ordered a hard drive from Best Buy for $215, and a "My Cloud" Network Attached Storage device for about $231. They sent me the hard drive in a plastic bag. Once opened, I could see that the hard drive was in a smashed box. They didn't send the My Cloud NAS device, yet the delivery tracking number for the order says, "Order Delivered!"

Online, the Best Buy website shows that my order totals over $500, and it says that the hard drive is one of two items contained in the order, yet I can only view the hard drive part of the order.

I eventually spoke to someone on the phone, and they explained that the order was shipped in two parts, and the second part should arrive in a day or two.

I asked if I could return the hard drive that arrived in a broken box, and I was told I could, but that Best Buy is out of the model I ordered. At the end of the day, the money is spent, but it could take weeks for me to get this Network Attached Storage device up and running. I'm not very happy with how this order worked out.

Can I give 0 stars? I will never ever buy from this company again. I bought a washing and dryer machine, with installation and haul away services included and the deliver have been rescheduled 3 times. Today when they finally came to deliver it, I found out that the drivers were only gonna deliver the machines and somehow the installation and haul away of my old machines were taken off from the order. Result: I have a washer and a dryer left in the middle of my living room. After calling to resolve the situation, being transferred to 3 different agents and staying on the phone for 1 hour, I found out I gotta call back tomorrow to reschedule yet again the service, since the order was not opened for editions. Worst service ever. When these companies are going to start to be punished for misleading the customer?

Bought a Whirpool fridge and scheduled install to haul away our old Subzero. When the team showed up they were surprised it was a Subzero and said we need to book a special team. We book special team and when they showed up they were surprised it was a Subzero and said we need to book two separate teams. The poor organization and coordination wasted both our time and the install team's time.

The store is clean, spacious, and full of good bargains. Please cross-reference with the regular store because sometimes it may be just a few dollars less, and not worth the delays, or poor service that I will address later.

If you live in a nearby commuting area, it is much more convenient to have these open-box items in one location.

The staff was satisfactory but may have been overworked due to a few on the massive floor, but after that, this is where it all falls apart.

Please inspect these open box items carefully and ensure that you can live with a few dents, scratches, and other dings.

Do not go there and argue about how the item appears; they have all had issues (OPEN) like many other things in life today. (Lol)

Most importantly, despite being aware of the risk, some of these open box tickets may have hidden structural damage issues, especially if cracks are covered with tape.

You may notice a small dent at the time of purchase, such as on the refrigerator, but the other internal areas may have deep cracks

Delivery Nightmare:

Unfortunately, there appears to be a slight disconnect between the online and physical outlet availability of items, who suppose to deliver, what warehouse, pick up time, date, or what is on the order.

This is just my feedback, and things do happen:

After a two-week wait, I drove over 60 miles approximately three times to the location where a washer, dryer, and refrigerator were supposed to be delivered and installed, only to be informed on the delivery day that the items were not in the warehouse.

Then the truck broke down, and an item that was chosen is not at the warehouse; in transit, or it needed to be picked up and delivered instead.

Now to the in-person visit because getting to the local store via telephone, is worst than the item arriving at home. It seems they do not accept incoming calls. Is there an APP for reaching what should have been basic customer service?

I've been waiting for two items for four weeks, and two of them are still missing.

Yes, the second manager I spoke with after three trips to the store assured me that they would expedite the second time, but that did not happen.

"We ordered a dolly service, and it will be there tomorrow. Still waiting. Call 1800 BESTBUY. " They, too, are unable to reach the local store and only have the same technique as the customer.

Multiple calls to the 1800 number, spoken with the manager several times, and it will be accelerated once more.

I'm not sure what other excuse they have, but the system has to be purged of the hidden broken item that was returned 7 days ago and was recorded as being in transit before a new timetable can be made.

After the irritated manager reiterated that the item will be delivered without hook-up, this happened. Keep in mind that pickup and delivery ought to have happened concurrently. Today marks day 30.

Rescheduled for another week, and to be told again on delivery day that the item may be in transit, or may have not gotten to the warehouse that is less than 50 miles from the store.

On the tenth call, the disconnect keeps occurring. Is the item still in transit or at the warehouse? Does the order number match?

These things would have already arrived if they were from the Middle East.

The delivery time kept shifting. Maybe this is the reason many customers have not given up online shopping.

Even if these items are priced lower than regular in-store items, have dents that were overlooked, are not captured, are dishonestly from item to be moved from the floor to the customer's home; or simply a lack of coordination between the store, management, or warehouse issues, customers will be turned off.

Finally, things happen that most of us have no control over, and while it takes more time and energy to write a negative review, and as previously stated, I am still a customer, they need to fix the company logistics and ensure that everything from point of sale to delivery and installation is on the same spreadsheet.

Tip for consumers:
Your experience may differ, but you should check and double-check these things, like purchasing a home, holding management responsible, and refuse to believe what they tell you on the floor.
Your order will become simply another stack of paper after the credit card has cleared.

Refrigerator, washer, and dryer to save time and avoid having to go to another store for another three weeks.

Overpriced but they do price match. Why drive to their stores though when you can just order it online from someone cheaper in the first place? Some people do like to see and touch though which is in my opinion the only reason they are still in business. Probably also that there are still a lot of people out there that don't trust buying things off of the internet yet, once they catch on Best Buy will fade away.

Came in here for a very simple thing: Laptop shopping. Not in the store for 5 minutes when a greasy haired snake oil peddler crept out from behind a counter like he smelled chum in the water. I'm sure you can see his serial-killer grin from here, but I digress. The young man by the name of Anthony(off my baby name list for life) had listened to exactly 1 need of mine: Word processing, before proceeding to push a $3,000 pro-gaming laptop towards me. I told him that's nothing to my liking, the cover looked like it had taken acid and was bleeding the rainbow. I told him flat out, I am taking this to work I won't be taken serious with this crap, do you have a regular black laptop with decent ram and a large hard-drive. I don't need any graphics higher than streaming 720p YT vids. Got anything fitting those needs without a ton of extra features I won't use? Apparently a $3,000 macbook. Told him I don't mess around with crapple products, most of the programs I will use are Windows necessitated. Oh here's yet another gaming laptop for... you guessed it, $3,000. He must be $2,999.99 off that sales goal and REALLY wants to hit it in 1. Told him he clearly didn't understand my needs so I would try somewhere else, at which time he practically blew a blood vessel glaring me down and uttering a few choice phrases about wasting his F@#% time and how broke and useless of a customer I was, that were already reported. Manager seemed to take my complaint serious, but you never know how that goes. I went to Wally-world and spent $500 on a laptop, another $300 on Microsoft products and a printer/scanner, and ended up buying a $1500 tv. Hope Anthony reads and weeps in the unemployment line. Would absolutely recommend to keep a 2-mile gap between Best Buy and literally anyone who wants anything.

On Sep 27,2020, I promptly ordered an open box Samsung Galaxy Active 2 44 inch Watch and two watch bands. The Watch was guaranteed shipment on Sept 29,2020. I only received the Watch bands and noticed online that the Watch was unavailable until Oct 06,2020, or canceled on that date. At that point, I called every day to receive an update because Oct 06,2020, was excessively long to wait for the Watch. Customer service repeatedly assured me that the fulfillment center was trying to locate the Watch in my local area? From Sept 29,2020-Oct 06,2020, I typically got the runaround and hung up on from customer service. And today, all I was offered 10% off on a new order? I don't appreciate what's going on with BestBuy; I'm incredibly disappointed with them. I've been a remarkably valued customer since 2009. I'm undoubtedly looking into taking my business to my PC Richards or elsewhere.

I've noticed that all the issues with Best Buy have caught up with them. They are shutting down really quickly. I'm guessing they forgot that other stores sale the same things with better prices.
