Managers are unprofessional at the Bel Air Mall. Unfair treatment by store manager and HR. Retaliation for doing your job properly and descrimination because you are black. Store manager is a liar. And does'nt care about her managers. Everything is for show. ASM stares up drama and backstab his peers and employee. Bel Air Mall Belk is overall bad energy..
An order placed 3/2022 finally arrived 8/2023. I called Belk to make a return, as I no longer wanted the item that was delivered 1/ 1/2 years later! I was told I could not get my money back because it had been longer than 9 months and they could not see orders older than 9 months! The funny thing, the first person I spoke with was going to give me back the majority of my return to my original form of payment and the rest in a gift card. How could she do it and the supervisor I spoke with can't. A company this size and they don't keep records? Anyway, they sent an e-giftcard. I don't want to order from a company that will not put the money back on the original form of payment, especially when it was not my fault this happened. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! I order occasionally online from them...we don't have Belk in our area. Very disappointed in their customer service. I wonder how long they will be in business with this kind of customer service. Very disappointing.
I saw a Doorbuster piece of luggage I wanted and it went out of stock. I called and spoke to a woman and she said if the item came back in stock or if I could find it in a store I could get the Doorbuster
Price. Well guess what she was 100% wrong! When the item came back in stock no customer service agent would honor the Doorbuster price. They asked if I took a picture of the Doorbuster price? I said why would I? They said in order to give me the Doorbuster price I would have to give them a screenshot of the heavily discounted price. I said how would I know that? That isn't what the woman told me on the phone otherwise I would've taken a picture so I could've gotten the Doorbuster price.
Very disappointing because that isn't what the first woman told me.
I just left my local Belk store (Centerville, Georgia) and was once again disappointed in the store personnel. I had to return some male clothing that I had used a $20 Belk Rewards Money towards the purchase. The men's shorts that I wanted to keep was not deducted from my $20 Rewards Money, the Rewards Money was applied towards another pair of shorts that I did not want to keep.
I told Linda (tall black lady in the men's dept) that she might have to call a manager to assist with the transaction. I was not sure if she would understand what I was trying to do. She listened to my explanation of what I desired to do and looked puzzled to me. I once again explained that I wanted to return the shorts that had received the discount on and apply it towards the shorts that I wanted to keep. I once again suggested that she may want to have a manager come and assist with the transaction.
She copped an attitude and said whether rudely if I didn't think she could handle the problem that I had suggested several times that she may want to call a manager. Her attitude was not pleasant nor her tone of voice. I immediately explained that I was not sure if she would have the authority to do what I was asking. She picked the phone up and called the manager on duty. Jay (manager on duty) came within a few minutes and I explained to him the situation once again. He allowed me to return the items I did not want but said he could not exchange the shorts kept for the discount price. He said I would have to wait a week or more for the Rewards Money to be put back on my card? Ok.
So I will once again have to make the trip to the store and return the shorts I'm keeping and start all over again... It's unfortunate but I have noticed the several times I have shopped in this store that some of the personnel seem to have an attitude problem. Some are assistant managers also. If customers don't bring these issues to the attention of the GM/Store Mgr. Then the snotty attitude will remain intact. Maybe a refresher course would be in order to teach the personnel how not to treat paying customers.
I received outstanding service on 7/20/23, from Rodney, at the Parkside Rd, Belk Women and Children Store, in Farragut, TN!
I love this store, which has top-notch Customer Service in every department. Also, this store has an excellent variety of choices for all sizes.
An example of the excellent customer service I receive today… when I approached Rodney, who was working diligently behind the register, and asked him some questions about where I could find certain things, he was happy to help me find exactly what I was there to purchase. He actually walked with me to a few areas to show me what was available. He was also extremely pleasant with a happy, positive attitude.
A second example from today… I had a full, heavy load of clothing and shoes in my arms, and a very helpful woman in the jewelry department, offered me a shopping cart. She informed me that she keeps an empty cart in her work area for anyone who might need one. How thoughtful!
On a previous trip at this same store, I couldn't find my car keys after checking out, and an employee in the shoe department, searched the entire store, eventually finding them on the floor in the clothing department. She saved me!
Whenever I need to buy something for an event, I head to this particular Belk store.
Today, I ended up buying a beautiful dress, matching jewelry, and a pair of shoes for my grandson's wedding. In addition, I purchased 5 blouses. With Belk's amazing savings, I spent under $200! Incredible! A special "Thank you!" To Rodney. Belk is fortunate to have such a customer service-minded employee!
The value of the clothing is not even worth it your money second if you open a credit card via where is on their synchrony bank they're very tough they won't give up even if you have father and charges in your account. They lied to you the store when you step into return items those people they don't even know what the hell they're doing. They're so dumb stupid they should be fired and I can't believe it. They decide to charge me for something I didn't purchase after I spent $700 on them never will use the store. I hope they close down go out of business.
Bought a quilt Waialea Bay Quilt - King size $84.00 + taxes I looked on line and saw 90 days return - so I return within that time frame - When I got to the Belk store the manager told me I was not on there website and that I only had 30 days for return and she could give me a return of $22.00 yet if I purchase it today it would be a purchase of $84.00 - WHAT THE CRAP! So why am I not getting the $84.00 back>? That is STUPID! Not shop with them again and NOW returns are only 7 days and shoes jewelry and other stuff ae final sales no returns all because can't get anybody to work - what a load! If it's a sales or return works both ways - - - SLACK!
I worked for Belk in Cape Coral, I was the best employee, on September 22 we were hit by Hurricane IAN, my house in PKWY was totally lost, we spent 12 days without water and electricity, Belk opened on October 9,2022. My critical conditions prevented me from returning to the work immediately the current boss Pamela Perreira said that I had family problems when she saw the photos of my house.
It seems like every single time I go and Belk at Hamilton place. I am followed around and treated like a criminal. I've had it they can have their junk. I can shop somewhere else and save my money.!
Eva from the cosmetic department at the Belk in Southpoint Mall, went over and above in her service. I wanted to get a product, but it wasn't available through that brand and she offered to show me something similar in a different brand that I liked better and it was less expensive!
I must admit that over the past 5-6 years Belks has changed from one of the finer Southern department stores to, um, lesser quality merchandise and poor packing. One of the many business that has not quite come back from all the covid-badness...lack of help and perhaps less caring personnel. However, last winter they shipped a package in a plastic bag (if you will) to the frozen North. The bag was beat up and torn in several spots and the merchandise (a couple dresses and blouses) were wet, some were part dry - wrinkled, dirty and smelly. They backed the entire shipment and sent me replacements. I cannot say a bad thing about Belks, expect they should send merchandise in a box, when going to the North and the snow.
I am very sorry I picked Belk for store to go for my BD shopping day
Associate Andrea from Ladies Shoe Department was the most Rude, Bulgar, Intimidated person. Yelling at me from the Register to go and get the shoes I wanted to try, speaking and laughing with another associate making me feel bullied.
All clients looked at me and I was so embarrassed and confused / scared and i bought only 1 par of Sandals thanks to Shanna who took over, apologize for her behavior and help, I was alone and she made feel horrible until my husband arrived and took me out of there

I ordered online a size 12 men's shoes. They sent them but one shoe was an 11 while the other was a 11. I was told to send them back (which I did first week of March). They have and even won't pick up calls on my issue

Went to belks to buy pants for a wedding. They were running a discount. Turns out I got a credit card I didn't know I was applying for, they sent me to collections, and ruined my credit over a pair of pants and I never received the card so I kept reporting the calls from synchrony bank as fradulent. Will never be walking into a belks ever again. Entire thing felt manipulative and backhanded.
I ordered 7 articles of clothing and instead recieved a cheap ring and nothing else. I emailed Belky numerous times and I get generic responses. I reported to my credit card company and hope they can get a refund. If something seems to good to be true it's because it is. DO NOT ORDER FROM THOS SITE.
BELK IS THE WORST I ordered several items from them online since there was a good deal and also doorbusters. They send part of my order and Then part of my order was automatically canceled without any notification. I called customer service, and They promise to fulfill the rest of my order at the price I ordered it, they even send me an email stating they will honor the price, but do not believe them, when you call they will try to sell you at the original price with 15% off REALLY! I AM STILL WAITING ON THEM TO CALL ME BACK, WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY. OH, CUSTOMER SERVICE OR SHOULD I SAY NO SERVICE a waste of time, and don't bother calling corporate it sends you right back to a regular customer, I will return that part of the order they sent, I will Never shop a Belks again. DO NOT SHOP AT BELK, Not recommended to anyone at all. I would give ZERO if it was an option.
