I ordered a charger for my MacBook Air to replace my original which failed. It arrived promptly and works fine. I can't say how long it will last (yet), but for 1/3 the price of the charger from Apple, I guess I won't be too upset if it dies somewhat prematurely.

My charger started to smoke while it was charging my computer. Easily could have started a serious fire. They gave me an address to ship the charger back to so they could issue me a refund, but then they closed down all their sites and I can't get a hold of them at all. They owe me $31.09, plus the shipping I paid to send the faulty charger back. This company is trash, spend the $80 on a legit charger. I want my money back, it's been over a month since I filed this complaint to them!:<

I should have believed what I was told - Battery Hop stinks. I ordered and received - after many weeks - a laptop charger and shocking development... it DIDN'T work. Requested a return and refund and shipped it back within days of receiving it and have yet to receive a refund and this was 6 months ago. I have E-mailed and called and once even got a human on the phone that "guaranteed my refund to post the next day". Such BS. Don't buy from this site - you're better off setting your money on fire.

I called in their customer service department, that i have placed an order and eventually decided to cancel and opted to get a refund, since i have already found my old charger, upon calling to cancel the order, i did receive an automatic confirmation that cancellation has been done and automatic they've processed a credit back on to my account. Thank you so very much!

I bought a charger and returned it via tracking back in April. I have contacted them repeatedly to get a refund. I've dealt with April and Patrick. I'm not letting this go. Doesn't matter how much money it was. It's the point. These people are getting rich by screwing their customers. I'm filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. This crap WILL end.

I ordered a MacBook Pro charger. These are not original Apple products, they're cheap knock-offs. It produced so much electrical interference the Mac's trackpad wasn't usable. I returned for a refund, they acknowledged receiving it, but never refunded my payment. I've been following up for 3 months now and getting nowhere. Basically, they've stolen $30 from me. Buy an original Apple product, expensive but worth it. This company is a fraud.

I placed a review under 24 hour charger as that's how it was billed but I transacted with BatteryHop. To confirm what others have said, they will send you a junk knock off, replace with another junk knock off then when that fails offer you to buy another at 15% discount.

It's not about the money but more about at some point somebody may get hurt. Mine got so hot I could not touch it, The second popped and smelled of burning electrical. At the time it was connect to a surge suppressor but not my computer.

Battery charger died after 2.5 months using it 1 day per week. When I contacted the customer service for the company because their web site states "Good News! We offer 1 Year Warranty on all of our products, and 30 days return policy. In short, if our product show any manufacturer's defect, except for normal wear and tear, within 1 year, we will replace your item at no cost." They told me that I would not only need to pay to ship it back, but also to pay an additional $15.

Great customer service... Thanks for nothing.

I haven't heard from anyone. I really need to buy another charger locally so please refund my money as soon as possible. I have called so many times but no answer! I don't want to buy from this company again! I would never recommend this company to my friends!

As a follow up, I received an email that the battery charger I had ordered was being shipped AFTER I had already contacted them and told the rep via email to cancel my order and refund my credit card, they went ahead and shipped the charger anyway! I talked to a "Francis" on the phone today and he has to send me a return shipping label, then when they receive the charger they will refund my credit card. What crock of poop! I'm taking it to the BBB, this company needs to close immediately!

This is the "worse" on line vendor I have purchased from! I ordered a battery and a charger in June and about 10 days later the battery shows up, but no charger. I email the company and a rep sends me the tracking number of the package that contained only the battery which I had already received! Stupid! Then I call and a rep tells me it will ship in 3-4 business days and I will receive a shipment confirmation. A week later and nothing! No email, no charger, nothing! But they still charged me the fill amount! I emailed them today to cancel the order on the charger and to refund my credit card and and they want me to return the charger, problem is, I haven't even received it yet! These people are no very intelligent. Do yourself a favor and buy from a reputable vendor like B&H or Amazon! Also, any reputable company will NEVER charge your credit card until your order has been shipped!

I needed a new charger and this site popped up. They had exactly what I needed (and I happened to need it in a hurry). The site promises shipping "same day" if ordered by 4:30PM. I ordered before that time and paid extra for 2 day shipping. They took two days to ship it and then shipped it regular mail. Needless to say I didn't get the charger when I needed it and had to buy another one.
I emailed their customer service to try to get a refund on at least the shipping since they lied about it and charged me for 2 day shipping. It's almost as if they didn't read my email because the response I got was nonsense. Then I tried to just return it and they have ignored those requests. I'm dealing with it through my credit card company.

Purchased a macbook pro charger with a warranty. Broke within a month. Received a replacement. Also broke within a month. They said they'll give me 15% off a new one. Don't buy from here

Battery just died. Had it for only 4 months. I don't know what the shelf life is for a ral charger, but I assume it's more worth it than these.

Do NOT by from the website BatteryHop! I normally don't post stuff like this but I'm super irritated, so I'm posting my first Facebook rant...

I looked at the BatteryHop website and they had great reviews and awesome prices too. So, I bought a MacBook charger in January from them and paid $8 in shipping (so like $5 extra to have it delivered in 2 days). That upgrade was NOT honored and I got the package a week later. I've been messaging customer service back and forth and 4 months later they made a decision to refuse to refund shipping because their company "doesn't refund shipping." Like what company has that rule?! I'm sooooo annoyed and the charger already doesn't work. To send it back I would have to pay shipping and a $15 charge and then I saw this review site below and some people who returned it never got refunded! And people who posted negative reviews on their site say it got removed. So ridiculous. What an inflated and inaccurate view from customers. Also they asked me to review the site 1 second after placing the order, before I even received my package.

Same like most of reviews, they are scam. FRAUD!
Never ever buy anything from this company. If you did, too late. Don't expect the product works and your money gone. For refund, they will do everything to make it complicated. Not sure all the good reviews came from a real customers. Need to report this company for fraud.

Never buy from Battery Hop! I have purchased two Mac chargers and neither worked. I have wrote several times to *******@batteryhop.com and no reply. So much for their 1 year warranty!
Don't fall for the cheaper prices!

Ordered a Pentax D-LI8 battery and charger.

No battery was included in the shipment received and the charger (despite being listed as a Pentax D-LI8 charger in the shipping invoice) turned out to be a Vivitar charger which was for a completely different battery size and contact configuration.

Contacting Battery Hop via both email and the toll-free number (which promises 'fanatic' and 'fast' customer service) revealed further problems in dealing with this company. Initial attempts to contact them via phone failed (bad connection, dropped call back, calling back during business hours with no answer). Email response failed to respond to the issues - missing / wrong merchandise and refund request.

After being parked on hold for over 10 min. Before being cut off in my last phone call to customer service, I was unable to get them to commit to a full refund for my purchase - fully warranted given that nothing I ordered from them was received or as advertised.

I wait to hear from Battery Hop on the customer service front. Meanwhile, SiteJabber will not allow me to give them the 0-star rating they deserve (hence 1-star). I have decided to take matters into my own hands to achieve a final resolution of this matter, costing me time and inconvenience which only add to this fiasco.

Please be warned, these guys are not to be trusted. They claimed to have sent me a charger but never received anything. After a period of time and multiple emails, they promised me a refund. The refund never came and after 3 weeks of asking by email, I disputed through my credit card. This is when it got worse, they provided to the credit card company, a different shipping tracking number as evidence that I had received the product. Of course, nothing that they produced showed the delivery address. So I remain in a dispute with them over a $35 item that I never received, they conceded that I never received, and never processed a promised refund.

I bought a replacement charger for my kid's Macbook Pro. The charger began to overheat and emit smoke within the first 2 months. Since this is outside "it's 30 days", I have to pay for return shipping. Ridiculous. Their defective product could've injured my son or even started a fire in my house. I called them back to complain and get the issue escalated only to be met by an apathetic and very rude agent who eventually hung up on me. Now they won't even answer the phone.

I only wish I would've read all the negative reviews on this site. Stay away from this company! Terrible!

Ive called their customer hotline, informing them that i have selected online an incorrect type of a charger. The agent that i have spoke to was very accomodating, you could really feel the quality of their service. Then immediate action they have occured to resolve my problem. Keep it up guys.

Bought a Macbook charger from them. Everything was fine for a short while - about 2 weeks. Charger went totally dead. Mailed it back per their instructions. Included the order number like they said. Then they asked for the tracking number? I checked that it was delivered to them. Anyway, they mailed me a replacement after I sent them the USPS tracking number. The wrong one. So I emailed them. They said mail it back, at YOUR cost, and we'll send you your replacement. I emailed them back and said NO. You send me a correct replacement according to the warranty. I'm not paying for your mistake. You send me a shipping label and I'll return the incorrect charger. Got an email back that, in part, said "Your request has been forwarded to the upper management for review please give us 24- 48 hours to resolve the issue. We will give you an update as soon as possible." So, it's a real good thing that I bought another charger from somewhere else while all this nonsense is going on. Will I get a correct replacement? We'll see. After reading other reviews I doubt that I ever will.

The only way to get a refund is from your credit card company. The company strings you along with faulty promises and never complies with your request.

Also, file a complaint with the Texas attorney general.
