Anyone can ask a service through bark. The process would send a client a verification code and the client will send the code back to verify the request. But even though the client won't send the verification code back to BARK, BARK will still post the request making professionals pay to see the details of the request. It is a loss of money on the part of the professionals. Paying for a request that is not verified. Bark said as long as a request is made and a phone number is real, then they can post the request. Real phone number, so a client can use other peoples phone numbers as long as it is active. Even a phone number of other states can be used as long as it is active.

I engaged Superflush to carry out maintenance work on the heating system and installing additional radiators at my property. Robert gave excellent service, he provided very good suggestions on how to complete the work. When he was carrying out the work he was clean and tidy. The quality of the finished work is excellent. Ge was punctual and courteous, I would not hesitate to recommend Robert and his crew at Superflush.

Finescape, the company I employed to do the work through Bark!
I wrote a review the same day the job was finished and paid the company who had done the work.
The job was a garden path and patio, it looked good and, like a good hard working person I even paid extra because the company owner had failed to listen to the original brief, which was removal of part of the garden to place a conservatory on. This was then added as additional cost. I had asked about a skip but was told the trailer would remove everything. This is unfortunately not what happened, a pile of soil, rocks and rubble from the garden sits on a tarpaulin still and three slabs rock (without the music or stage show) My original review praised the company but this is now four weeks later and no sign of them returning to refit slabs or remove the stains, and rubble which has cost me further the price of a skip to remove despite regular chasing.

Bark garden work

A big thank you to Pat O Hara and his great team. What a great surprise they gave us, our big back garden was like a jungle, but Pat and team turned it into a fabulous garden to be enjoyed again. They arrived when they said they would, and worked sooo hard, they cleaned up before they left. Leaving the garden looking superb

If you are in the US, I highly recommend filing a complaint with the FTC and your state's Office of Attorney General. I do believe this business is scamming people and needs to be shut down. I have received fake and duplicate "leads" over the course of 2 years.

I honestly had very high hopes of making bark another website to get leads from. They suckered me in by stating if I used up my credits and didn't get booked they would allow me to get my credits back and start again. I have been on the website for quite a few months and have spent quite a bit of money and have yet to get booked. Most of the customers never reply to messages or answer phone calls. Many of the leads I feel aren't actual people, and many of the numbers don't work, and I can count on one hand how many people have actually replied. I have other sites I use and the work isn't as frequent but at least I get legitimate leads.

As a dog trainer advertiserz spent way too many bycks $$$ here, wasted money. My peers... get a good website that is you. Advertise on google. You will have the right prospects coming to you vs idiot low level shoppers who should not own dogs in the first place on bark. Get off thils place fellow dog helper pros!

I ran across the website, and thought this an interesting opportunity.

I bought credits, emailed prospective clients, without 1 return email.

I did a free trial for their Elite Pro, but no pricing ANYWHERE on the site, which should have been an indicator.

Then I scheduled a call -- 2x on their calendly app. When no one called back I emailed, just to be told they don't make specific appt times to call customers, just return randomly. Excuse me? You asked for a time and confirmed it, but you don't do that?

Now I'm trying to get the money on wasted credits returned and I feel this won't end well either.

Don't waste your money!

I used Bark service to find a magician at short notice for a 50th birthday party. Within no time at all I had heard back from three professionals. I choose the one who got back to me the first, and who sounded and looked exactly what I was after.

Tom Brace (the magician) was magic in every sense. His banter was spot on for the audience. He mixed, mingled entertained, and wowed around the various groupings of people. He couldn't have been fairer (stopping the clock on his performance whilst people ate), or more flexible (allowing me to book an extra hour on the spot, in keeping with how the party was going). I would most definitely recommend him for a family party - indeed I'm sure he would be fantastic at any function.

This Site is a SCAM!

This site is a complete scam. DO NOT SIGN UP! After reaching out to several potential leads, not one of them answered. Nobody answered their e mails, or phone calls. You would think for such large and legitimate companies, the leads would answer an e mail or a phone call (or even have a voicemail set up). No, not one of them had a voicemail set up or answered a call. Bark is clearly a scam, so avoid them at all costs!

All leads are screened by an automated system, and we have a credit return policy which covers any contact details which are not working. We feel this is the fairest system we can have as we are not a commission based system that guarantees work, and only provide contact details for enquiries placed with us.

We appreciate that it is frustrating when customers don't respond, however this is not something we can enforce. All professionals are in competition with up to 4 others to convert a lead, and we often find that when a customer has chosen a service provider they are unlikely to let the others know.

Guaranteed not Guaranteed

I signed up with Bark and paid to receive 80 credits with a "guarantee" to get hired at least once and if I did not then they would credit me 80 more which they did. With that 2nd 80 I still did not get hired. I called and asked Bark about it and I was told that "Guarantee" is just what the platform was called but no they don't actually guarantee that you will get hired. After I used up the 2nd set of 80 credits, I received a message from a lead saying they were interested in hiring me and to contact them. I believe Bark is set up to entice and keep you coming back to spend just a little more and a little more until you have paid several dollars and still may not get hired. I am very disappointed at the false marketing strategy used.

Bark.com doesnt always filter the leads well and it results in loads of spammy and fake leads being submitted. If you plan on using bark be warned that you will need to check the available lead details thoroughly, otherwise you risk getting a junk lead... and in many cases the bark support won't refund those credits.

Otherwise there is a chance of closing leads/sales on the platform, but you really need to be careful buying the leads..

In the same way that paying for Google Ad Words or PPC does not guarantee work, using lead generation for online marketing cannot guarantee this either - these are B2B and not B2C and is why monetary refunds aren't possible for utilised marketing.

Miguel and his cousin@ *******690 took excellentv care of my large yard today that is heavily landscaped with a veriety of mature trees and shrubbery. They pruned, weeded, trimmed edges, raked up hauled away heavy grange and cuttings. The yard is clean and looks great. They also tested and repaired the extensive irrigation system. I highly recommend Miguel for your yardwork.

Opportunity scams abound and this is one of them. Nothing lower than selling false hope to people trying to make a living. Low quality leads for high dollars. Impossible to filter out the dogs - the ads have no details.

Bark spams tons of unqualified buyers with tons of unqualified sellers. If you sniff these guys out like I did - before even using up your introductory ante, you won't get the remainder back.

If you are a professional - this is not the place for you. Your proposal will be buried under a ton of wannabees. If you are a handyman or lawn guy, get on Angie's list.

I assume the odds here are like Vegas - with no big payoffs. No serious business would use Bark - buyer OR seller.

Count the bad reviews compared to good reviews, and don't give them a nickel.

Great Service!

Can't recommend this company enough. After contacting Bark and asking for call backs from Tree Surgeons, we had a call back within 2 hours and the gentleman came within the same day. Due us having to check to see if we had a TPO on the tree in question as soon as we had received the response from the council we again called 1st Class Tree and Garden Services and hey came the very next day and did a fantastic job. We will definitely be using this company again!
